To be fair we arrived in pouring rain which left the roads with numerous puddles. Our site was well drained and level. Cable is limited. Wi-Fi was slow. It was a good overnight stop on our way to Banff. The grass was in desparate need of mowing but this was probably the result of constant rain. We camped at Hinton / Jasper KOA in a Motorhome.

This is our favourite campground in the Jasper area. All sites are flat and we've never had any issues with the utilities. This KOA is very well cared for. The staff are so friendly, and the owners are also super friendly. They have a lot pride in their park, and it shows. Jasper National Park is very close, about 45 min to Jasper town site. Hinton is a cute little town with lots to offer. Very clean bathrooms and showers. Laundry facilities are spotless. The only complaint we have about this park is that the WiFi is very slow. Overall, this is a wonderful park in a great town. We camped at Hinton / Jasper KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This KOA is in a gorgeous & fairly remote location along your way to or from Jasper National Park. We had a 30A level gravel pull thru that was about 55' long with about 15' between RVs. They also have longer pull thrus and 50A sites available for more $. Rogers cell phone & data coverage was acceptable at 2 out of 5 bars. All sites are good for satellite. Cable TV was okay but a little fuzzy. Park wifi worked good enough for light browsing. Laundry & bath rooms were very clean. We met the owner and he was very nice. My only complaint is sites are "KOA close" together and expensive compared to other campgrounds. We camped at Hinton / Jasper KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Very friendly staff. We arrived without a reservation and they found a space for us due to a cancellation. This campground had the nicest shower facilities that we have ever seen. We camped at Hinton / Jasper KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This is the cleanest park in which we have stayed. The washrooms are spotless. Close to town and easy access to the highway. We have stayed here several times and will continue while passing through the area. We camped at Hinton / Jasper KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Park is located close to town of Hinton (<5K), paved driveway to start, then gravel after crossing 1 lane wood bridge. Wide variety of sites from tents to limited hook ups to elite full hook up (with gas grill & patio furniture). Appreciate the escort to our site. Sites are open and the views (especially to the west) are spectacular.
Bathrooms and showers were clean (they had repainted a week earlier). Good water pressure - we liked that the main building showers were individual rooms, outside the rest of the bathroom area.(only main building facilities were available during our stay). Laundry was clean and working. (4 wash, 4 dry)
Staff & owners were awesome. I had a laundry issue that we mentioned to the front desk - within 3 minutes they had someone attending to it! Now that's great service and attention.
Office also has groceries, rv supplies and souvenirs.
Great off-leash Dog Park with several agility devices to keep the pups happy - this area was a lot larger than any other KOA dog park I've experienced - we had room to throw a ball allowing our 65 lb pet room to run.
We stayed here out of necessity (medical issue while traveling) and were very happy with our stay. We'd stay here again if only KOA's didn't charge so much..... We camped at Hinton / Jasper KOA in a Truck Camper.

This is a nice park with wide sites, typical of KOA's it is all gravel with a little bit of grass. The owners where always working with the bathrooms very clean. The wifi barely worked, the only time we could connect was at 6 AM. This is a beautiful area, but it is a drive to Jasper. Next time we would stay closer to Jasper, but this is a nice park. We camped at Hinton / Jasper KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is an old coal mine town down 4o South (believe it is Cardin) it is about 25 miles and worth the trip. The food was just ok. The town originally had 2,500 down to 31! Also the Beaver Pond in Hinton is a great morning walk, we saw a beaver and 4 wolves. It is very well done!!!

We stopped here after spending a week at Whistlers in Jasper National Park. Needed 50 amps and Wi-Fi. The 50 amps were great but Wi-Fi iffy. We did go into town to the visitors center and found the internet there wonderful. We stay at KOAs often and found this one to be very nice. The staff were friendly and courteous. Our site had the typical KOA grass which our dogs love. We camped at Hinton / Jasper KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Very Nice KOA. Price is for 50 amp pull thru. There are level F/H/U and some water/electric only back ins. Grass and table/fire pits between very close sites. It is 25 miles to the entrance of Jasper N.P. People were really friendly and tried hard to make sure you enjoyed yourself while in camp. Dog walks and pet areas. Cable and wifi good. This is a very busy campground. Try to reserve early. We camped at Hinton / Jasper KOA in a Motorhome.

Rate is for and electric and water site and surcharge for extra person. This park is accessed by a narrow bridge that crosses over a creek. There is a gate on one end of the bridge that is locked at night. Friendly and efficient staff. We had an escort to our site. The site was a gravel back-in that could have used a few more feet in width as it was only as wide as the motorhome. The sites in our section had grass between them. They had tables included. No fire pits, but a large community one was available nearby. All utilities worked fine. Cable TV had around 15 channels with no local channels from Edmonton. Instead it had Global New Brunswick? Great for the Maritimers I suppose. Wi-Fi worked well enough for emails, browsing and photo downloads. There was a camping kitchen shelter nearby that had plenty of electric ranges and sinks. Usually we don't frequent KOAs as they are usually more expensive than the competition, but at least for this park there were plenty of facilities that justified the cost. Next time we are in the area I would like to try another park in the area to compare with this one. We camped at Hinton / Jasper KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed here because we couldn't get into full hookups in Jasper. We stayed in 13 RV parks on our trip, this, by far, was the nicest park of them all. Easily the nicest KOA we have ever been to. Sites are flat and gravel. Gravel interior roads and in very excellent shape. Campground is about 4 miles from town. The staff were very friendly and professional. The restroom/shower building looked like it was new this year and constantly maintained, but it is about 10 years old. Good utilities. No doubt we will return. We camped at Hinton / Jasper KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Typical well-managed, well-maintained KOA. There was a fire ban while we were there, but there is a large gazebo in which they light a fire every night. Park can get very windy, very fast. Playground is up-to-date and safe. All connections were well maintained, but grass around utilities post was very long. I had a hard time locating the sewer connection. Laundromat was spotless, WiFi was very, very slow (they use a satellite provider), we just quit trying using it. But the view you have of the Rockies makes you forget about WiFi. Would definitely return. We camped at Hinton / Jasper KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Park is close to Jasper National Park, about 45 minutes away from Jasper itself, and close to Hinton which has all conveniences (although they close fairly early). Note that the park closes its gate at 11:30pm. Keep it in mind when visiting Jasper Natl Park.

What a great place to spend time. This KOA is relatively new and very well cared for. The staff are so friendly, and the owners are on-site constantly. They take a lot of pride in their park, and it shows. Very clean bathrooms and showers. And the town of Hinton is wonderful. We stayed nearly a week, and that wasn't enough time. In fact, we were so busy enjoying Hinton, that we didn't even go over to Jasper, which is why we came to this area in the first place. The only complaint we have about this park is that their WiFi was very spotty between about 8:00 pm and 11:00 am. Overall, this is a wonderful park in a great town. We camped at Hinton / Jasper KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Hinton has tons of parks and playgrounds for the kids, good services (Safeway, Canadian Tire, Walmart, etc), and Switzer Provincial Park is close and gorgeous. Our favorite drive was to Cadomin, a very small town about 30-40 miles away. On the way there, we saw a grizzly, several elk, and a bunch of bighorn sheep. Plus, there's a general store in Cadomin that makes world-class burgers. In fact, we were doing a lot of trip planning/research online, so we ended up spending a good deal of time at the Hinton Municipal Library (which is a great spot, too).
