This is a beautiful, clean park. The first site we were given was very unlevel, but they let us switch to a more level site. The bath house was clean and very convenient. The wi-fi did not reach our site, so we had to go up to the office. The only bad thing was that at 2:30 am, we were awakened by a sprinkler hitting the back of our RV that sounded like machine gun fire! It went on for about half an hour, every 5 minutes. We camped at Gas City Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice campground near the Trans-Canada highway in Medicine Hat. No problem getting 45-foot rig in. A bit more expensive than other parks but clean and attractive with full hookups and 50 amp. We recommend. We camped at Gas City Campground in a Motorhome.

What a find for a city park! Price per night is $53 Canadian, $40 USD. The park was clean, isolated, good shade and easy access to the City. The roads leading to the park and well as the park roads were all smooth and asphalt. Each site was spacious with well manicured lawn grass between neighbors. The sprinkler system was times not to interfere with the campers. We had easy access to the dumpers and showers, which were clean and well maintained. We had great WIFI, easy to connect to and good bandwidth. The office was well stocked and staff friendly. They even registered my e-mail to receive city news letters about upcoming events. Laundry was only open when the office was open. There is plenty of space to walk the dogs in grass or follow a city asphalt bike/walking path that goes into prairie land farther than I could walk. The parking pads were long and level but gravel. We camped at Gas City Campground in a Travel Trailer.

One of the nicer parks in Canada, our pad had lots of room, nice gravel with patio area. WE had site 44 with 50 amp, very easy to get my 41` 5th wheel in and out. It was good to see our 50amp had the breaker right there; so many parks in Canada have remote breakers. If your 30 amp breaker blows? and you cant get an emergency number or contact someone until 9am the next morning? and your 120volt fridge stops working for 9 hours??? anyways nice to see the breaker at the rv spot! Lots of room for my 3 slides. Wifi was one of the best I`ve seen in over 100 parks I`ve been in. Highly recommend this for anyone coming through. We camped at Gas City Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

I'm not sure why others have complained about no room for your slide outs? That was concerning to me but I booked anyway, hoping we'd have room. When we arrived, we had plenty of room. There's a lot of spacing between the sites in our loop (fhu 50 amp). Actually, I'm shocked at how roomy it is! I walked around the campground and everyone has their slideouts open with plenty of room. Our site is pretty unlevel towards the front and required about 4 lynx levelers per front jack. There's a lovely walking path right outside the campground. If in the area again, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here. Very nice campground. We camped at Gas City Campground in a Motorhome.

Gas City has always been delightful and peaceful, with amazing nighttime views of the city. Gas City has a great off leash area for dogs, very pleasant staff, clean washrooms and showers. Fire pits are not suitable for people small children as there are at ground level. We observed this at this campground before. Thank God for quick hands. It only takes one eye off your child before an accident happens. These pits are extremely outdated!

As a campground dedicated to their hard working campers staying long term for shutdown work in the area, this campground appeared to be quite uninformed from day to day as to their closing date. We paid our site fees on Sept 11/16, informed the campground was still on line to be open until the end of Sept to possibly mid Oct/16.

On the morning of Sept 14 the news started to spread throughout the campground of its closing date Sept 19/16 with no notice issued to anyone. A notice was place on the door at the registration building, however no actual notice issued to any of the site occupants as to this impending early closing.

After arrangements had been made prior to our deciding to move from another campground which is also an amazing little oasis, but no water or sewer hookups we move to Gas City for the remainder of our stay, understanding we would be there until likely the end of the shutdown my husband was working on.

Once these rumors were confirmed at the office several campers decided that evening to relocate the other campground as the site we knew would fill up fast.

Hats off to the two extremely pleasant ladies left at Gas City Campground left to deal with the many questions, upset people and those of us needing refunds for our site after our departure.

Will we come back to this campground for pleasure use, for sure, however not likely for job related unless closure date is in writing and enforced by the City of Medicine Hat.

There are people there from as far away as Victoria Island and all across Alberta and Sask.

The reason given for early closure did and still does not make sense to us as we are sure Gas City must have known much in advance before the work crew would be staying at this facility.

My heart goes out to the remaining workers at Gas City scrambling to secure another temporary place to park their campers.

Worst mixed up ever! We camped at Gas City Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Our first time staying at this RV park.

It was so nice and pleasant. We just had the one night stay. We wanted to use our trailer instead of a hotel for a wedding. So glad we did. Plan to do the same next time we visit family

My husband says as he was hooking trailer up to truck; the camp neighbors

We're waving and saying good morning. He liked that. The cost was so much less then a hotel. A big plus

The only hint I have is to mention you have a side out so they can tell you what spot to go. I got that info from other comments. Yes it was quiet

I recommend reading other people's comments too. We camped at Gas City Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Firewood onsite was costly, bring your own!

Tips for other Campers:

Turn off from hwy #1 is NOT well marked. And park is not visable from hwy. FYI : hospital on north side of hwy; turn south to get to park.

We will return to this park.

The rental rate is not too unreasonable, except you have to pay an additional $8.09 to make a reservation. The bathrooms are clean but somewhat dated. Laundry rates are average. Most sites are pretty spacious, but there are some that won't accommodate slideouts. I would suggest you check your space before accepting it. We camped at Gas City Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This city park is one of the best around. It is well run, sites are well organized with great hookups. Although close adjacent to city park is quiet. On weekends there is always some feature to entertain campers. While there the local classic car club drove their beautiful vehicles through the camp. We stayed one night at this RV campground on our way West. What a delightful surprise. This is a small but delightful RV campground. From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed. We were in the 'outer circle' looking out over the ridge and valley, we stayed up just to sit outside and catch the lights and the skyline, what a view. The front office was great. The washrooms and shower were very convenient, air conditioned and impeccably clean. All in all this RV campground was so great that I just felt like staying there and finishing of my vacation. Great location, everything you could possible need in the way of shopping, services all right there, just a stone's throw away. The sites are open, but they're done up right and there is plenty of space between RVs. The park is laid out beautifully. The flowers on either side of the park gate are very welcoming. Sweet, sweet RV park, try it you'll love it. We camped at Gas City Campground in a Travel Trailer.
