Just wanted to make a comment about this campground. Campground is very nice and well maintained. The issue is with how the campground owners are treating the displaced/homeless people from Slave Lake. Over 700 people have lost their homes in Slave Lake. Many of them have had to resort to living in their RV's at this campground so they can continue to go to work. The owner's have been evicting some of these displaced people so their "regular" clients can come camp for the weekend. This is not right. The other people coming in are not being told that they are displacing homeless people to inferior sites within the campground. The owners are also double dipping. Some of these sites had been paid up front for the season by seasonal lot renters. These renters have given up their site for the homeless. Awesome gesture. The owners of the campground are charging the homeless folks the site fee even though they have already been paid for the season by the original lot holders. NOT COOL. Just wanted everyone to be aware that if you camp here this summer and possibly next, some family with no home or possessions may be getting kicked out or forced to move to an inferior site so you can enjoy your weekend. Rant over. Facility is fine, grounds are kept neat, access to lake is excellent. We camped at Big Fish Bay Campground in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
