Great location and park layout. Stayed 4 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. Park is quiet, day and night, and spaces are roomy. Noisy ATV's are not running around the park, which is a plus. Park owners are very helpful if you have any questions or issues. There are both "treed" sites and "open" sites. We had a site with some shade from tall pines, yet our Dish satellite tv worked fine. Lots of wildlife in the area - elk and deer abundant. About a mile from the main street in Alpine which has several good restaurants and a grocery store. Will definitely return to this park. We camped at Coronado Trail RV Park in a Motorhome.

The owners are extremely accomadating and go "above and beyond" to assist you. Bathroom/shower and laundry facilities are new and kept extremely clean and well kept. The RV sites are spacious and nestled in the tall pine trees and surrounding views are beautiful. We camped at Coronado Trail RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 2 months - June & July 2017. We loved every minute of being in this park and have made some good friends that I hope we will continue to keep in touch with. The sites up front have no shade; if you want shade you need to ask for one of the shaded sites in the back. The owners are very agreeable and helpful in accommodating requests if at all possible. When we first came in we only requested 1 month; after staying that long we requested another month. A lot of spaces are rented seasonally for the entire summer so they don't have a huge number of vacancies. The owner was so super nice and worked very hard to accommodate us; we had to move a couple of times but we considered that a very small price to pay in order to stay there on our time frame. If you have a dog there is a wonderful fenced doggie play area for the dogs to meet up for daily afternoon play dates off-leash. Outside the play area, in the rv park itself, dogs should be leashed and owners are pretty vigilant about picking up after their dogs. Sites are large enough that you can sit outside and not feel like you're about to shake hands with your neighbor. The sites are gravel, but a lot of care has been taken to build them up and make them level. We camped at Coronado Trail RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Driving 22 miles south of Alpine to Hannagan's Meadow was one of our favorite areas for hiking. The Wallow Fire of 2011 didn't impact as seriously that far south, so there are more unburned sections of forest to hike. Be sure to stop in at Hannagan's Meadow Lodge for lunch after hiking - the food is good and the hummingbirds and wildflowers are amazing there.

Where to start. I guess I'll start with the disappointment in finding out that the pull thru site we had reserved some two months earlier was given to someone else less than two hours before our arrival. The women representing herself as owner apologized for having assigned our reserved pull thru to what I learned later to be a two month renter, and offered me a choice of the two remaining back in sites along with a $10 discount for our inconvenience. All this after I had worked hard to convince the same owner that our 2003 motorhome was "worthy" of being in her park when making the reservation. Needless to say at 4:00 in the afternoon in Alpine, Arizona there was little else we could do but accept her offer and make the best of it. The campground is in a grove of tall pines that give good shade but the roads thru the park, as with the sites themselves, are a combination of dirt and gravel making for a very dusty campground. From our experience I would say this professed "senior" park is geared toward the long term camper and NOT for the one night stop. We made a mistake of accepting the high park rating that were based on but two reviews. This park, in our opinion, based on no bathrooms and all the dust rates, at best, a 3 out of 10 rating. No, we would NOT stay at Coronado Trail again if traveling thru Arizona in the future. We camped at Coronado Trail RV Park in a Motorhome.

Coronado Trail RV Park, owner at Coronado Trail RV Park responded to this review

Where to start. First off we never promise anyone a pull thru space, simply because we have only one. Secondly most RV parks are gravel roads ours are gravel not dirt. You are correct we gear our park toward seasonal customers. Our web page is very clear on what amenities our park has. You knew we did not have restrooms prior to your arrival. Thirdly Sherrie is the owner of the park and we both assisted you in setting up so you could keep your tow vehicle hooked up to your RV. During that time would have been the perfect opportunity to voice your disgust with our park. There are 3 other RV parks within 3 miles of we would have called them for you in order to satisfy your needs. You said nothing. Seem that the internet and social media allows people to take the cowardly way out and give bad reviews months later instead of correcting a problem at the time. If only we were able to check your past reviews prior to arrival, we would have expected this type of review from your. Sincerely Paul and Sherrie

I heard about this park from friends in another RV park. It's everything they said! Quiet, peaceful, very well managed! Owners are great folks and very accommodating. Starry nights listening to the elk and owls. I've been here since May 1st and will stay until late fall and I will be back next year! We camped at Coronado Trail RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice park located about 3/4 mile south of Alpine along the Coronado Trail on Hwy 191; the park is on the east side of the street. Definitely the best park in the Alpine area. Most sites have large pine trees, and sites are level with full hookups. The owners are very nice and accommodating. The park setting is in the pines at 8050 feet. It is a nice quiet setting with beautiful surroundings. Lots of hiking and ATV trails for those that love the outdoors. We stayed here for one month. We camped at Coronado Trail RV Park in a Motorhome.
