Price shown reflects the weekly rate for a back-in site. Generally a very nice park with good facilities. There is a big clubhouse with an onsite restaurant open on weekends. We didn't eat there but heard only good things about it. The whole place looked clean and well kept. We had a back-in site that was easy to get into and out. It had some shade at the back and a good view out front. My complaint about it is the hookups. The water hookup is on the wrong side - better have a long hose. The sewer hookup was in the right place, but in a hole too deep to be able to properly connect a standard 90-degree fitting. It looked like the pull-through sites were better arranged. They are larger than the back-ins but have no shade. We had good Verizon cell and internet service there. Despite the complaints, It is overall a good park and I would go back again. We camped at De Anza RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Very nice RV Park. We have a back in but there is nice room between us and people behind us. A few nice shade trees behind the back in sites. Cable good. WiFi questionable. Nice Mountain View In distance. Restaurant 4 days a week. Our sewer hose right at corner of neighbor 's picnic table. Here for 5 days to bird watch. Would definitely return. We camped at De Anza RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Titan Missile, Madera Canyon ,Green Valley are nearby. The Federal Government shut down closed the two national parks, but people said they were worthwhile. Lots of social mixers in this resort.

This is our 2nd time staying here. Our site was good. Away from the pet training/boarding business this time. People friendly. Went to several functions. Showers clean, restaurant open Thur,Fri,Sat & is pretty good. I like staying at this park. I like that they have picnic tables at each site. Just a nice atmosphere and beautiful mountain views. Loved hiking the Santa Rita mtns, took different trails this year. Took copper mine tour and the titan missile tour. They were putting in a sauna but was not finished when we left. There's an area to wash your car, which is nice. We stayed 3 wks here. Plan on coming back next year. Fyi. Huge open area to pull into when you first arrive or when ready to leave to unhook or hook up tow vehicle and not be in anyone's way. We camped at De Anza RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed 2 months. Great view of the Mts from our site. Noisy traffic from highway. Dog park is just dirt and no lights after dark. Has a dog wash. Doesn't seem to be a lot of organized activites except for crafts and potlucks. Information in the clubhouses (3 ring binder)on things to do in the area is from 2005-2006. Some shade trees towards the front. Has a weekend restaurant that locals use. Most of the community seems older. No hiking or biking groups or planned physical activities. Wifi is poor unless you go into the clubhouse. Lots of cozy rooms to hang out in. Large saltwater pool. I don't think I would stay for 2 months again. We camped at De Anza RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Bike and hiking trails in the area but you are on your own to find them or visit the Chamber in Green Valley. Nice dog park in Green Valley with grass but it's a drive.

Large gravel space but would have preferred a pull thru. There was originally no picnic table at our site but camp host brought one over almost immediately. I felt very welcomed here. Joined a chair yoga class & Thai-chi several days a week. Pretty nice restaurant, enjoyed the whirlpool. Workout room, separate yoga room, nice library & pool. Had several pot lucks the month we were there. Bathrooms seemed to be newly updated but shower heads were a bit too 'hard' like needles on skin. Could really use a shower curtain between shower & dressing area or provide a different shower head to adjust. Love the green valley area. Lots to do. Went hiking into Santa Rita mtns. Tucson about 45 min away. Casino within 20 min. One thing to note; may not want to be on north end of park. There is large dog boarding & training center right next door and had lots of consistent barking. Will request spot on the other side of park next time. But will definitely be back. Tips for other Campers:

Tumacacori mission enjoyable. Walk along the DeAnza trail. Took a drive around the mountains to several wineries around Elgin. About a 45 min drive. Very pretty drive. If you go, take your own wine glass it will save you money as you will need to buy one for up to 5.00. You can use your glass at all the wineries. Never read that anywhere.

Not overly impressed with this large park next to a busy, loud, four lane highway. Sites are gravel with good space between sites but mine did not have a picnic table. Lots of things to do for those who live here full-time during the winter. Good location to tour the area, easy in, easy out. If you go south then come back north to the park, you will pass thru a Border Patrol checkpoint, which slows you down a little but is not a problem. Amado to the north has a nice restaurant and Tubac to the south has golf and lots of shopping and historic things to see. We stayed 3 nights. The park next door is unkept, rather trashy so I recommend you not consider staying there, although it is a few dollars cheaper.

In it's day, this was surely a classy place, but the buildings are a bit worn now. Everything is very clean and the staff do a good, friendly job. It's a bit overpriced for us at $240 a week, but we have friends in the are, so here we are. The laundry is clean with six washers and eight dryers. It is quiet and surrounded by the above average beauty of Arizona. We camped at De Anza RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a super well-kept park. They have lots of amenities - a clubhouse, a large pool, a dog wash, a dog park/run, etc. Most of the park is paved and there are lots of small trees. Guests are expected to walk their dogs to exterior areas of the park or in the fenced dog park; no using your campsite for a dog potty. The two RV parks in Amado are both a considerable distance from grocery stores in Green Valley; they are side-by-side, both on the frontage road next to a major highway and also next to a noisy train stop. Spacing at this park is similar to the one next door; enough room for your RV, car, and a picnic table on a small slab patio. We camped at De Anza RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

To cut down on the highway noise, get a spot way in the back. You'll still hear the train but you won't get so much freeway noise. Buy groceries before you arrive as it is a significant drive to the Safeway in Green Valley (20 minutes). Tucson is an hour away. Tubac, an artist's community, is near Amado. If you bring dogs, walk the either in the dog park area or in the back of the RV park. The front dirt strips (next to the frontage road) are full of thorns.

This is a seriously fine RV park. Superb facility and well-managed. This would be a great place to spend an extended stay, although we stayed just four nights. Campsites are spacious, many with great views of the mountains. Utilities are first class, public meeting places, such as fire ring and meeting
/activity building, are clean and cheerful. We camped at De Anza RV Resort in a Motorhome.

I can not say enough wonderful things about this resort. A beautiful salt water pool (though on the cold side), a jacuzzi, a HUGE clubhouse. Lots of activities.

The snowbirders make a wonderful community, full of fun and activities. You can step out your back door and hike the desert.

The owners are good people. They're the sort you meet and walk away and say to yourself, "They are good people."

I'm trying to think of a negative to be fair and round out my review... but there is none. Great place, great people, wonderful people. Surrounding area great for exploration and learning.

And the view is spectacular, wake up every morning to the mountains. See the stars at night. We camped at De Anza RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The park is your typical desert park. The park itself is very well kept. Buildings are old but well maintained. Internet (as we usually find) is not good. The staff was friendly. They have a restaurant on premise and we had the fish. One of the worst meals we have ever had. Can't speak for other items on the menu. Well located for local attractions. We would stay there again. We would visited Ruby ghost town and would recommend it. It was about an hours drive from the park and does cost $12 to get in. There are about 24 buildings left still standing. Interesting. One surprise is they have a lake and white sand beach in the middle of the desert.

Stayed her for 2 weeks while visiting parents in Green Valley. Nightly rate is based on weekly rate. Sites are level and gravel. Sites near the highway have trees. Electric and cable in the older section (near the highway) are at the back of the site. Oddly, the water is next to the patios...you have to put a hose under your rig. Small concrete patio. WiFi is variable. We had no trouble picking it up with our external antenna. Neighbors next to us had major problems. Verizon gave 2 bars of 3G (unless you did a fresh reboot on your phone and place it in a window, then you could get 4G for a short while). Excellent ota tv and cable tv.

Hot tub is HOT the way a hot tub should be. Pool is warm. Only downside (at least in April) is that they are inside. Outside would be preferred this time of year.

Only 2 park models in the entire park, so it is mostly motor homes, etc. Found the sewing room too late for my stay. Extensive shop, which came in handy when my husband needed to drill some holes in a metal bar. Owners are very nice. Broasted chicken in the restaurant is to die for! We would definitely stay here again, due to it proximity to Green Valley.

As for the road noise, yes you can hear it. But it's not that bad. We've been sleeping with the windows open and it has not been an issue. We camped at De Anza RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Have stayed here the past 3 winters and like it very much. The winter weather here and the view are great. Lots to see in the area. They have a restaurant open on week-ends with a live band and dancing. There are craft rooms, a woodworking shop and a dog wash. The park is large with lots of room for walking. Already have reservations for next winter! We camped at De Anza RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Obviously, a lot of RVers love this campground, so I will try to provide as much information as I can as to why we did not care for this campground. First, the positives: The campground is very clean, neat, and orderly. All of the fellow campers that we encountered were friendly. There is a restaurant on site that folks seemed to really enjoy. The utilities were strong. There are lots of activities. The location is good for visiting the surrounding attractions and activities. So, why would we not return. The top reason would be the noise from the very close-by interstate. Even though we had a space in the back and it was cold so that we had our windows closed, the freeway was still a roar in the background during the night. During the day, it was not as much of a problem, but at night, it was bad. It was expensive, by our standard, even with the Good Sam discount. The tax brought the cost back up to around $40 per night. If you use the pool, pickle ball court, etc. then this may be OK. We do not use these facilities, so for us it was an expensive place to park. It is so neat, clean and tidy that it felt sterile. There is really no landscaping, just gravel and pavement. The hookups are about as inconvenient as possible; the electrical hookups are in the very back. The water hookup is close to the front and the tap is in a deep enclosure that is very difficult to reach and impossible to hook up to without kinking the water hose. So we would only stay here again if we had to stay for a few days to visit friends in the area. Your views may vary. We camped at De Anza RV Resort in a Motorhome.
