A wonderful place to stay! Staff is great to deal with, the place is so clean, I think they must scrub the streets. Bathrooms are spotless, laundry room is too. We enjoyed the pool and locker room facilities and every person we met here was so nice.
Easy to maneuver, wide streets, large sites, beautiful views, and quiet and safe. We stayed nine days, which is 4 days longer than we planned, simply because it was so pleasant here.
WiFi iffy, but they are working on making it better, it works fine near the pool and in the clubhouses. They also offer a Cable hookup that works great. For the Passport America rate, this place is great. We highly recommend this park and would certainly stay here again. We camped at Cochise Terrace RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

After our winter's stay in Tucson, we began our trek east with a stop at Cochise Terrace. It was a great place for day trips to Bisbee and Kartchner Caverns state park, great value with Passport America. Nice long and fairly level pull-through paved sites; we were on the end site adjacent to a lovely cactus garden, with several in bloom. Lovely mountain vistas as well. Also enjoyed the pool one afternoon. Good Verizon, Wifi only with our jetpak; good water pressure. We would definitely return to Cochise Terrace, stayed in a 42 ft 5th wheel. We camped at Cochise Terrace RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
Great breakfast at the Horseshoe Cafe in Benson, HUGE portions. Kartchner Caverns was absolutely BEAUTIFUL, definitely make reservations ahead. Queen mine tour in Bisbee was very interesting, learned I would NOT want to have been a miner!

This is a nice park that was clean and the staff was very nice. They are just focused on other issues. First, they want to sell everyone a RV lot in the park, not my style. Second, their pet policy was just over the top bad with all kinds of restrictions. Third, the internet is useless even for e-mail. We need internet for our work and this one just does not work. The park was less than half full, so on a big weekend it would be worse. We will not be returning. We camped at Cochise Terrace RV Resort in a Motorhome.
The caves our amazing, a must do.

Beautiful park with wonderful view of the mountains. Easy on off on the hiway. No hiway noise. $5/pp dinner available 3 o4r 4 nites a week.
Benson is only 1 hour East of Tucson. There is a lot of history to see here plus the Kartchner Caverns. You must make reservations well in advance to visit the caverns. RV park sits on top of a hill with views on 3 sides of the beautiful local mountains. Easy on and off of Hiway 10 but NO highway noise. This park owner is smart and has the RV sites set up with your nose facing West - smart because there is a lot of wind! This way your rig does not get pushed around. Also your windows face North or South so your rig does not get overheated with sun. Park is at different levels - top levels are gravel. Bottom level is black top. Spaces are wide. Full hookups with 50 AMP and nice cable. WIFI is typical RV park WIFI - Even though park is not full, WIFI is difficult to access even being right in front of the office like we are. The views of the mountains on 3 sides are spectacular. The park is beautifully landscaped with some trees and cactus. The park staff and warm hearted and very welcoming. RV park kitchen offers reasonably priced, very tasty dinners several nights of the week. We had dinner twice and really enjoyed the food, and the camaraderie around the dinner tables. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Cochise Terrace RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
Visit Karcherner Caverns - need to make tour reservations in advance.
Visit Bisbee and the mining museum

Roads are asphalt, as well as some sites. Mine was gravel. Check-in was quick and staff were friendly.
Wi-fi was terrible, if I could connect it was very slow. Verizon Jetpack worked fine. Cell phone coverage was excellent.
Laundry was good ($1.50 wash/dry).
CG is far enough from the interstate that you don't get much noise from it.
Nice CG to use as a base to visit the tourist attractions. We camped at Cochise Terrace RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
Cochise Stronghold is worth the trip and visit. The last 6 miles are dirt.

Stayed here for 10 days. The park was very clean, quiet and spacious. To date the best park we have stayed in. The only bad part about this park was the very poor WiFi. Everyone was friendly, both clients and staff. Nice dog runs outside the park. We camped at Cochise Terrace RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
Benson is a great central location to travel to Tombstone, Sierra Vista and Tucson. Lots to do here and a great place to come to.

Very nice facility. We used the asphalt pull through sites which are wide and easy to maneuver. There are a number of back ins on gravel and they are good as well. Staff very friendly and helpful. In addition to on site evening meals, there are a number of activities provided. One of the best parks we have used. We camped at Cochise Terrace RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a very pleasant month long stay and would easily stay here again. The park is nice and has the added advantage of the being further away from the railroad tracks than any of the other area options, a huge factor in Benson. It is a large park with areas of manufactured homes, park models and owned rv lots as well as the rv park. With the exception of the overnight sites, the sites are gravel back-ins of varying lengths but all decently wide. The only sites I would try to avoid are those around the pool but that is personal preference based on noise and privacy. It is a snowbird park but we felt very included and the leader of the jeeping group was soon knocking on our door to extend an invitation to the weekly outings. The overnight or short term sites are wonderful long pull-throughs, very easy in and out. We camped at Cochise Terrace RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground has lots of permanent people as they focus on selling the sites, half for campers and the other half for mobile homes. We had a site right by the office which was okay but it was completely tarred and was more like a parking space. Getting in and out was very easy and the roads are all paved. We used this campground because it was close to 3 National Parks. We didn't use any park facilities but the people and staff were very friendly. We would definitely stay again. We camped at Cochise Terrace RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We were just overnighters, so were placed in a paved parking lot with hookups. There were no amenities at the site and it wasn't level, sloping to the side. We did get an escort to the site, but could have found it easily anyway. We had no time to explore any part of the park. Wf-fi, while it existed, was very slow. Park may be fine for longer stays. Price was a little high for what we got. We camped at Cochise Terrace RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a great park. Just a short distance off I 10. Very well maintained, the staff is friendly and helpful. Upon arrival they welcomed us and provided a free ticket for the dinner meal being offered at their cafe that evening. Sites were level, and spacious. The trains did go by, but they were so far away the bother was minimal. A very nice RV Park. We camped at Cochise Terrace RV Resort in a Motorhome.
Karchner Caves is 9 miles down the road; Tombstone is about 45 min away and Saguaro National Park is about 45 min to the west via I 10.

This is a great park. Welcoming and well maintained. Nice facilities (pool, rec hall, on and off leash dog areas, room for walking) We were assigned a large level, paved pull through site near the office so no need to unhook. We even got free dinner at their rec hall included with our camping fee which is apparently offered one night per week. Everyone was very friendly which contributed to an overall great vibe. We were only here for an overnight and were able to get a PA rate but would consider staying here longer on another visit. Lots to see and do in this area as well. You can even wash your rig for $5 fee at this RV resort. We camped at Cochise Terrace RV Resort in a Motorhome.
This is a beautiful area, surrounded by mountains. We noted some interesting rock formations about 15 minutes away near Dragoon that begged to be explored. There is golfing in the area as well as hiking. Several of the permanent residents of the park go "jeeping" every Wednesday.

A nice campground far enough from Tucson to be quiet, but not too far for day tripping. Good sized asphalt access roads. A mix of asphalt pull thrus with ok width (transients) and gravel backins (longer term). Gravel sites generally very wide, but with pea gravel which was impossible to keep outside. Difficult to get level with longer coach in gravel sites due to slopes on both ends. At 44' we could only barely get level with the back almost in the gravel slope and the front just barely clear of the front slope with front wheels slightly off the ground. Jack pads greatly improve stability in the pea gravel. Shorter coaches (less than 40') should have no problem getting level in these sites. Power, water, and sewer OK. Wifi at the site was a bust, but they do claim it is available only at the clubhouse. We had a clear line of sight to an external wifi tower on the clubhouse (about 100 yards away), but could not get a connection even with high gain antennae. Verizon LTE was 3 to 4 bars with good voice and mostly decent data. Tmobile was highly variable ranging from 2 bars with decent speed to 0 bars and no connectivity. Aluminum can recycle on site and a transfer station with full recycle just north of town. Decent places to ride bikes around the campground and in the subdivision behind. Also nice riding south on the highway (wide shoulders, light traffic). We will stay here again. We camped at Cochise Terrace RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Some of the nicest people we encountered on our return trip from Big Bend. Large pull through site with excellent freeway access. Gentlemen came and picked up our propane tank, filled it, then brought it back us. Excellent showers and laundry services. A great spot for overnight, or a few days. There is much to do in the area. We will stop here again next year for sure. Excellent! We camped at Cochise Terrace RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
Some great Restaurants in Benson. Breakfast - Horseshoe Cafe, Dinners - Galleano's, and if you like Mexican, Mi Casa. All are good food and reasonably priced.vt3fan • January 2015
Tombstone is about 30-minutes away. Interesting and fun trip. Karchner Caverns is only about 10-minutes away. One of the best caves I've ever seen and I've been through many. Only about a 50-minute tour depending on which room you choose. We toured the Throne Room but reviews indicate that both are excellent.Ruskin • January 2015
