Really nice state park with lots to do in the park and in the area. One big ding is that a lot of sites are really unlevel front to back. We were in 2 different sites and could not get level even with our air leveling system and blocks. Staff was very friendly. Some site have lots of space between them and others do not. Verizon signal was not very good (1 bar of LTE sometimes). Caverns are really neat and there are great hiking trails in the park. Convenient to Tombstone and Bisbee for day trips. I would recommend seeing both while your in the area. We camped at Kartchner Caverns State Park in a Motorhome.

We decided to stay one night at this state park on our way to another destination. We wanted to check it out for a possible return visit next year. The RV park area itself? It's wonderful. The spaces are widely separated and getting in and out is a breeze for even the biggest rigs. We will definitely stay here again for a few days next year on our desert trip. We camped at Kartchner Caverns State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

This park is adjacent to and part of the Kartchner Caverns State Park. It can be very busy and crowded with long lines for the cave tours, etc. There is a small cafe of sorts that offers a few sandwiches and snack items and a shop full of souvenirs and "stuff". If you are staying here and need groceries, etc. you will need to drive the 9 miles back to Benson where there is a Walmart and several grocery markets.

This is probably the nicest State Park we have stayed at. The sites are very large. The scenery is beautiful, and it is located in an area where there is a lot to do and see. The Caverns are a must to see. Because the Park is located on a hill, it takes some leveling, in some cases 4 to 6 inches. Overall this gets a 10. We camped at Kartchner Caverns State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Things to see and do: Kartchner Caverns, Hiking Trails, Bisbee, Tombstone, Tuscan, Saguaro National Park,

Very nice campground with a view of the mountains to the west. The sites are very nice but they do/may slope a bit. We had to use our "lego" blocks under the front wheels to get our MH level enough to use our levelers. The CG is well maintained and within 8 miles to groceries (Safeway) and a laundromat. We camped at Kartchner Caverns State Park in a Motorhome.

$25 per night (in addition, there is a $5 nonrefundable fee to make an online reservation) was for a level asphalt pad 30-amp electric and water site. There was a picnic table on each site. Sites are generous and have desert vegetation throughout and the trees will offer shade once they leaf out. Many types of birds and butterflies were flitting about and lizards zipped along the ground or up a tree trunk. All sites had a 360° view of the surrounding cactus-filled desert and mountains. This campground is located several miles southwest of Benson, which offers all conveniences. All the facilities were in immaculate condition. The main attraction is, of course, Kartchner Caverns-guided tours (no self-guided tours allowed) are available by reservation. There are multi-use trails that are accessed along the perimeter of the campground. AT&T service was nonexistent. Verizon coverage was three bars of 4G LTE. There was the only one over-the-air TV station. We received several radio stations. We camped at Kartchner Caverns State Park in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful campground in a beautiful setting. Very quiet at night, except for the coyotes. Very easy access to many places in the area including Tombstone and Bisbee which are both worth a visit. The camp hosts are very helpful and there is a group campfire available for use with firewood and the bucket of water supplied. Very clean bathrooms and showers. We camped at Kartchner Caverns State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very scenic park with good, paved, level sites large enough and staggered to afford privacy. Usable Verizon signal. I did not do the caverns but did hike the trails. We camped at Kartchner Caverns State Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice well maintained camp. The caverns are well worth the visit with very interesting rangers. Since these are "wet" caves they are justifiably careful with the environment inside. The campground itself has dirt roads, good size sites, a few mesquite trees and tables but not fire pits. This is another good Arizona State Park which is well managed and maintained. The reservation website is user friendly. We were pleased to find a number of open sites for February/March when we reserved in December. The birding from this camp was only so so at least in late February. We camped at Kartchner Caverns State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Kartchner Caverns is a must see destination. This is the second time we have stayed here, and the cave tours are nothing short of breathtaking! Having said that, we would highly recommend the campground on it's own right. The spots are large. You are quite a ways your neighbors and it's very pretty. It has plenty of small trees and great views. I would have given it a 10 but for the the lack of sewer at the sight. There is a two week stay limit, but if you were planning to do that, you would probably have to pack up and go to the dump station several times. If you are planning to stay at any of the AZ state parks in the winter, I would make reservations and if you do it on line you can pick your spot on a map that shows a picture of the site. We camped at Kartchner Caverns State Park in a Motorhome.

Lots of room but not terribly attractive during the winter (deciduous trees = no winter shade). Cave tour should not be missed! We camped at Kartchner Caverns State Park in a Motorhome.

Great location. Nice park, paved streets and pads. Pull-through fit our 44' 5th wheel just fine with room for the pick-up. Hiking trail around. Fire pit by bathhouse. Great host couples! Very friendly and helpful. Half-an-hour from Tombstone. There are tours available for the caves, but we did not have time, looking forward to returning! Quiet spot. Dog friendly, but not a area to let them run. We camped at Kartchner Caverns State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We camped in a water & electric-site only. There was some shade from small trees. Clean bath-house. The adjacent cave tours end before 5 p.m. and don't start until 10 a.m., so we missed the last tour of the day and couldn't stay for the next-morning tour. Lots of nearby wildlife, so I wouldn't think this was a good park for pets. We camped at Kartchner Caverns State Park in a Motorhome.
