Nothing like the park's website. Unlevel, dusty, small pool. On our way home and tagging with another couple. We were all disappointed. If I'm going to pay nearly $40 a night I expect much more. Would not recommend to others. Compared to other parks, a disappointment for sure. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We stayed two nights. It was dusty, full of kids, and no pull throughs as mentioned except for long term people. No free Wi-Fi. Sites were small. No cement pads. All dirt and dust. No discounts January through March. The pool and hot tub were always full of kids. It was the worst campground we stayed at our whole trip. I don't understand how people could rate it so well. Terrible train horns every night on the hour. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Park is located on Hwy. 80 about 1.5 miles south of the downtown Benson train tracks. We were not disturbed by the train horns. Park is all gravel & located on a slight incline toward the back of the park. Some sites could be slightly lower on one side, but no big problem. Most sites are wide enough to park beside your rig. Utility hookups are conveniently located. WiFi is very dependent upon site location. Our WiFi worked adaquately during the day, but was mostly unusable at night. I must commend the lady in the office. We paid for one week & then decided to try to stay for another month. She was able to find us a site after a lot of effort. I only wish all parks had a dedicated employee like this. There is a lot of desert area to walk in right out the back gate of the park. Our rate is based on a monthly rate. Electric is included in your first months rent. We will definitely return when in this area. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

I understand it is the busy season in south Arizona. The part was typical of Arizona and all gravel. My main concern is that the rigs were packed in; at least we were. We checked out other parks in the area that were much more spacious and with paved roads. The views were beautiful, the pool and clubhouse small. Upon arrival the gentleman in the office was very friendly. They do escort you to your spot and help you squeeze in. I swear I could spit to the neighbors camper. We had to keep our blinds down the entire week. My main complaint is the the amount of space they squeeze you in. Our tow vehicle hardly fit in the space. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here 2 weeks free with our Thousand Trails membership. Just had to pay the $2 a day 50 amp upcharge. Nice older park. Seems to be pretty well maintained. Gravel roads that do have some large depressions. Could use a little filling in. Power was stable and water pressure was adequate. People seemed friendly. Very nice approx. 1/2 mile walking trail loop right next door. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Great southern AZ Encore park. We had a monthly rate. Lot of snow birds that couldn't be more friendly. Pool is heated and beautiful. Activities were going on frequently though we did not participate. Great place to spend a few weeks and enjoy the sunshine with good folks. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a large, but typical, desert campground. That means no grass and minimal shade. The layout of the park could have been better planned, but it works fine. Interior roads are gravel/sand but are well groomed and maintained. Staff is Friendly and helpful.

Did not use the pool or hot tub, but they looked good. We would stay here again as we drove through this area, but we had to entertain ourselves. WiFi was available but expensive through Jabba. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Our third stay here. Gravel sites with plenty of room for toad or tow vehicle. Some sites are pretty level others require some attention. Utilities are handy, voltage was a little low all week. Staff was helpful and attentive. Escort to the site. There are several permanent residents on site and they are friendly and welcoming. We participated in a potluck and a BBQ during the week. Pool and restrooms/showers were clean. Laundry 5 sets of machines, but you can only use two at a time. There are several National Parks, Monuments and also State Parks, all within an easy drive of the CG. We enjoyed or stay here and will return when in the area. Park was conveniently located to the many Cochise County attractions. People were friendly and the sites large and level. Could use more greenery and less gravel but this is very common for the area & size of park.
They were having some water issues while we were there. Park staff very good at keeping everyone informed and did everything they could to minimize any inconvenience. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a nice campground. They have some nice long pull thru sites that allow big rigs to stay hooked up. They have 50 Amp FHU available. The park is older but clean and tidy. ATT & Verizon work well. Plenty of clear sky for satellite set up. Restrooms are dated but clean. No train or Hwy noise. Rate is C2C with $4 for "Resort fee" and $2 for 50Amp. Nice views from the Park. Stayed before and will stay again. Lots to see and do in the area. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Benson is not much of a town for tourism, but there is plenty to do in the area. Within an hour or less: Tucson, Saguaro NP, Tombstone historic town, Kartchner Cavern SP & Amerind Museum. Also, for birders, there are numerous excellent sites.

Benson does have excellent groceries, hardware and Mexican restaurants.

Overall Rating:

This is an older park in the high desert - all gravel with quite a few trees, a small clubhouse and pool, good Verizon reception. It's a little rough around the edges, as is the nearby old railroad town of Benson. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they host frequent small events such as a homemade chili lunch and craft group. The security gate is out of order, apparently. Free cable hook-up is a plus. Very quiet despite being close to the highway. Sites are spacious. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Nearby Benson has is an old railroad town with some history. The visitors center is excellent. Plenty of good shopping for basics, including a Walmart. Bisbee is the reason I stayed in the area - about 40 minutes south - a beautiful old West town with loads of character and creative energy. Tombstone is a fun stop on the way.

If you like Mexican food I strongly recommend Mi Casa in Benson. Small building and set back off highway but what a great place to eat. Service was excellent and the food was awesome. Be sure to try their carrot cake......delicious.

Nice park with spacious sites. Nice walking trails and an inviting pool. A great place to stay and do day trips to nearby sites, such as Tombstone. We arrived after the "snow-bird" season had concluded, so it was not a problem getting a space. From October through April it could be crowded. During the winter months, more activities are offered.
