Great southern AZ Encore park. We had a monthly rate. Lot of snow birds that couldn't be more friendly. Pool is heated and beautiful. Activities were going on frequently though we did not participate. Great place to spend a few weeks and enjoy the sunshine with good folks. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed here 2 weeks free with our Thousand Trails membership. Just had to pay the $2 a day 50 amp upcharge. Nice older park. Seems to be pretty well maintained. Gravel roads that do have some large depressions. Could use a little filling in. Power was stable and water pressure was adequate. People seemed friendly. Very nice approx. 1/2 mile walking trail loop right next door. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a large, but typical, desert campground. That means no grass and minimal shade. The layout of the park could have been better planned, but it works fine. Interior roads are gravel/sand but are well groomed and maintained. Staff is Friendly and helpful.

Did not use the pool or hot tub, but they looked good. We would stay here again as we drove through this area, but we had to entertain ourselves. WiFi was available but expensive through Jabba. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Our third stay here. Gravel sites with plenty of room for toad or tow vehicle. Some sites are pretty level others require some attention. Utilities are handy, voltage was a little low all week. Staff was helpful and attentive. Escort to the site. There are several permanent residents on site and they are friendly and welcoming. We participated in a potluck and a BBQ during the week. Pool and restrooms/showers were clean. Laundry 5 sets of machines, but you can only use two at a time. There are several National Parks, Monuments and also State Parks, all within an easy drive of the CG. We enjoyed or stay here and will return when in the area. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice campground. They have some nice long pull thru sites that allow big rigs to stay hooked up. They have 50 Amp FHU available. The park is older but clean and tidy. ATT & Verizon work well. Plenty of clear sky for satellite set up. Restrooms are dated but clean. No train or Hwy noise. Rate is C2C with $4 for "Resort fee" and $2 for 50Amp. Nice views from the Park. Stayed before and will stay again. Lots to see and do in the area. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Park was conveniently located to the many Cochise County attractions. People were friendly and the sites large and level. Could use more greenery and less gravel but this is very common for the area & size of park.
They were having some water issues while we were there. Park staff very good at keeping everyone informed and did everything they could to minimize any inconvenience. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Everything is gravel, so potential dust. There is a nice pool, staff was great, sites were not quite level but easy to block up one side. WiFi only in clubhouse. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Benson is not much of a town for tourism, but there is plenty to do in the area. Within an hour or less: Tucson, Saguaro NP, Tombstone historic town, Kartchner Cavern SP & Amerind Museum. Also, for birders, there are numerous excellent sites.

Benson does have excellent groceries, hardware and Mexican restaurants.

Vickie greeted us at the office upon check-in, very pleasant and friendly. Was escorted to our site #166, nice location with ample space for rig. Nice level sites, all gravel roads and sites. Great view of the mountains from our site. Laundry facility nice. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If you like Mexican food I strongly recommend Mi Casa in Benson. Small building and set back off highway but what a great place to eat. Service was excellent and the food was awesome. Be sure to try their carrot cake......delicious.

Nice park with spacious sites. Nice walking trails and an inviting pool. A great place to stay and do day trips to nearby sites, such as Tombstone. We arrived after the "snow-bird" season had concluded, so it was not a problem getting a space. From October through April it could be crowded. During the winter months, more activities are offered. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This family-run place worked perfectly for our late arrival. The folks were extremely nice on the phone and the park was well-tended and clean with discrete lights on lampposts. We picked up a late arrival packet and left the cash in the morning--total of $28.19 for 30 amp service, water and waste hookup. They have a pool, hot tub and clubhouse if you stay longer than we did. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

When we visited the campground it was a week after a flooding rain and the grounds were not in the best of shape. Flood or not there needs to be some site beautification. There are trees but they are small and sparse. Don't count on them giving much shade. There are gravel lots with a picnic table. The bathrooms and showers are clean as well as the pool and hot tub area. There is a clean small club room which is used for functions. Free WIFI is available there, but if you want it in your camper, you will pay extra. There is also a $3 a day extra "resort" fee. I really don't consider this place a resort! The coin laundry is clean and is complete with ironing board, a folding table and a rack to hold coat hanger items. The lady who is in charge is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about area attractions. The park is located near historic Tombstone, The Amerian Museum (a must), Tucson, ghost towns, Cochise Stronghold, and a cavern. I didn't give a higher score because there needs to be more landscaping. It is was not very inviting when we first drove in. I would stay there again. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice park. Some 50Amp. Heated pool and Hot tub. Most sites are pull thru. Friendly staff and coffee in the mornings. Train noise is noticeable, but not as bad as most parks in Benson where the trains run thru the center of town and really blow their horn there. Certainly worth a stop to see all that is in the area. WiFi is Tengo so you have to pay for it. Not what you think of as an Encore Park, but maybe they will do some upgrades. Rate is C2C premier so only the $3 Resort fee. Resort!!!??? Not really a resort but a very nice Park. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly staff. Easy drive to Tombstone. Desert park so dirt and rock, not paved roads. Bathrooms clean and working. We stayed under RPI so $13 per night. Would stay again if going through Benson. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is an Encore park, and we spent a week here under our Thousand Trails membership. The park was super clean and wide open, sites marked by corral type fencing. The staff like to stagger the rigs if they aren't full, so you don't have another camper right next to you. We had stayed the previous night at a park in town, and the train whistles were constant and horrible. At Valley Vista we weren't bothered at all. Also, no problem with highway noise. This is not a park I'd want to spend the winter at, but we enjoyed it enough to spend another week when we head back home. If you like books, there is a very well stocked used book store in town. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Super friendly staff in a very friendly atmosphere. Good sized pull through and full hook up. Cable TV is excellent, so is the Internet but a little expensive at $5.95 a day. Lots of things to do in the area...Bisbee, Tombstone. We camped at Valley Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.
