Same as the last reviewer. We planned a one night stop to break up the trip and this campground was really convenient to the highway. The sites are plenty big and easy to get in and out.
The bathrooms were clean and the WiFi was okay. Only 2 over the air channels, one on Spanish and the other religious, a good night for cards.
I do caution that if you are a light sleeper you might reconsider staying here because the train tracks are right behind the sites and they run pretty late and early. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Fort Bowie Nation Historic Site was great. Be prepared for a 3 miles round trip hike that is moderate in difficulty.

We use this park as a stopover between Las Cruces, NM and Tucson, AZ. Nothing fancy, but a good facility for big rigs. The office staff is wonderful. The store is pristine and has interesting southwest merchandise. Sites have ample room for leaving towed vehicle hooked up. This is a bare bones park and everything worked great. They have both diesel and LP. The park is located between the interstate and an active railroad track. Their sounds didn't bother us, but might if one were sensitive. We will most certainly be staying here again. You can't beat the price for a safe overnight stay.

Note that the owner is in the process of changing the name to Dwayne's Mountain View RV Park since there is another Mountain View park nearby. Look for the Fresh Jerky signs. Check in is at the store. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park itself is an overnight stop, not a destination place, but I rated it highly due to the excellent value and the unbelievably friendly customer service. It is easy to get to off the interstate and the sites are easy to pull through and level. It was snowing and very windy when I arrived, and the maintenance man ran out to greet me so I didn't have to go into the office. He showed me where to park and told me to come in and pay when it was convenient. I went into the store to pay when the snow let up, and the staff in there was so friendly, it was like a party. There are all sorts of very nice foods for sale - jerky, brittle, jams - and they let you test everything. The pickled garlic is great. There was good wifi. I will definitely stop here on my way through the area in the future. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very clean park. Long, level, and wide pull-through gravel sites. 50 amp at all sites. Very easy to pull in, NO trees to drive around. Utilities were convenient and worked well. Look forward to staying there again next year.

Park Office was very clean also. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Fort Bowie Vineyards downtown. Hot wells north of town. Fort Bowie south of town. We spent a week here last year and found plenty to keep us occupied. The Chiricahua National Monument is also fairly close, lots of scenery and hiking available.

New owners so the place has really been cleaned up. Check in process was a breeze and the manager and maintenance guy were great. They have a BBQ truck on site (plans for putting in a restaurant), which the food was very good and reasonable priced. Good enough for a night stop. Best wi-fi that we have encountered this trip. We will definitely go back if in the area. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Let me begin with the fact that the people running this park appear to be the nicest on earth, including the maintenance man. The park is very basic. Gravel parking. Very run down, but appears to be on the upswing. Excellent home made jerky and candy sold in the office. Nothing to do, but usable for an overnight spot. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

What a surprise. Cleaned up from previous reviews. Campsites were spotless and you can still hear the train, but not that bad. We used it as a stop over for one night on way to Quartzite. Please give them a try, they could not be nicer. The caretaker indicated he started about a month ago and he indicated the owners could not be any nicer to work for. He started gradually started cleaning up the place at his own pace and it shows. Caretaker is retired and does it at his convenience. He is proud of it and you can see the results. Front desk could not be any friendlier. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The best thing about this park is its WiFi, which was strong and very useable. The sites themselves are level and the power was good. The two water connections at our site both squirted major water from the faucet handle itself, which was a waste of a needed resource in Texas. The park is filled with trash and "stuff" lying about. They lock the showers and restrooms at dusk, which they failed to mention when we checked in. But the worst thing is the train noise, which went all night. We got very little sleep here...and I am usually not bothered by train noise. But the park is only about 25 feet from some very busy tracks. We would not stay here again. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Our rate is the Passport America rate. Nice place to stay overnight. It could use a bunch of TLC. The owner is a very friendly guy, but it is obvious that he has lost some interest in running this place. The trains go by quite frequently. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is very soon after exit, but very quiet. The train is close, but does not make much of a racket there. No light pollution; the night sky is brilliant, and the mountain view is beautiful. The wi-fi is most excellent. A friendly place as people were flying model aircraft together in the evening. I had a pleasant cup of coffee in the morning, tanked up on gas and propane. Severe goathead infestation and inadequate trash disposal. Will return. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Great spot for one night if you are beat from driving. The wind had come up and we needed to stop. It is bare bones. The guy in the store was very friendly and helpful. Needed to send and receive a fax, and expected to have to drive, or hear: "No." But he helped us out. Would stay again in a pinch. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

CG is a parking lot behind a gas station at the west end of town, Price reflects Passport America discount. Train tracks are right behind CG, and the trains do run through the night but the sirens are blasted about a mile away at the other end of town. Free Wi-Fi is excellent, Verizon and AT&T cellphones and satellite reception is fine. Sites are level gravel, and long enough to keep towed attached. There are no picnic tables or grills available. This is acceptable for a stopover, but you may want to use the ear plugs. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

We called in am and were told they had spaces. When we arrived at noon they had 2 spaces. The park is full of mine workers. I would definitely call before stopping. All other comments apply. We are PA and paid cash. We would stop here again We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park could be a nice park, but needs removable of clutter in the park. The train tracks are very near the park, and many trains run all night long. Manager somewhat friendly, but could have been more so. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.
