Tidy campground and very friendly. A host told us to pick a site, get set up and then come into office and settle up. So we pulled into a site and were setting up when I saw that we had driven over a fire ant hill and they were swarming all over! Not a good thing, their bite is very painful. So we picked everything thing up from the ground and moved to a different site. So glad there was an ant hill free site. Went into office and paid for our night. They sell all sorts of nuts, fudge and jerky and had lots of samples on the counter and we were encouraged to try whatever we wanted. The park is owned by a company that has a nut tree farm. Along the road were acres of pecan and pistachio trees. Since hubby has a nut allergy he didn't sample and we didn't buy any but the samples I had were very tasty. And the lady in the office was very friendly. We would stay here again. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We stopped here on a dark rainy night on our way west. We called ahead and spoke to a friendly woman who told us we could just come in, pick a spot and pay in the morning. The weather was terrible and we never left the Rv so we can't speak to the facility other than it was level and easy to pull in. In the morning we stopped in the store to pay and met the affable owner who gave us samples of jerky (delicious), coffee, great travel advice and entertained us with his quick wit. We left smiling and happy! We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This park is associated with Dwaynes Fresh Jerky. Nice store with a big selection of jerky, salsas, nuts, candy, etc. and very nice folks. The RV park is spartan but a good value for full hook ups and convenient to I-10. It could have been cleaner. Bathrooms are open to public, we didn't use them. Close to train tracks so you will hear some trains but didn't bother us. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Women in store were very helpful. I liked the fact that I could pick my own campsite. On my third night there I was approached by a man who did not identify himself. He was very rude and belligerent because I had driven behind "his" row. I felt uncomfortable staying after that. The bathroom was open to the public and the shower had no lock on door. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

We arrived for an overnight stay, and we're pleasantly surprised about the reasonable rate for full hookup. And the park was very well kept up, the lots were nice size, not overly packed together like many parks. The owner is very friendly, Verizon repeater was good. We will return. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Easy on and off from interstate. Be sure to take the WEST business loop. Check in and very friendly staff. Sites Are level and long. Hookups all work well. We had an end spot near the train tracks. Trains rarely blow their whistles here and we slept fine (even with one of us being a light sleeper). We would return. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is an all gravel RV park with level sites and few trees. Hookups worked well. Check in was fast and easy. Sites are wide. Trains run all night, but that isn't too unusual near these western parks it seems. Price is great. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice pull for the night. No road noise from I-10..However trains do run next to the periodically. No whistles...but you can definitely hear the train rumble. Especially starting around 4 AM. Would stay there again...easy on, easy off, easy hook up...great price. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Loved this place and plan to return. Camp hosts were awesome and held a nightly campfire. Sites were level and easy to navigate. The grounds were clean and well maintained. The gift store had lots to offer. Great place to stop! What a gem! We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Great value for full hookups. Some train noise, but not enough to make us not want to come back. Friendly service. We'll be back. (Note for editor of site: Campground address should be 1120 WEST Business 10, not east. Had trouble finding it with our GPS when approaching from the east.) We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Level, large pull thru sites, 3 service. friendly, courteous service. No large trees, good for the satellite. Close to train tracks, but we choose parks close to our route. Had a bit of trouble finding the park, they could add signage in Bowie and bigger sign at park. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Small rv park located behind a gas station, we missed it and had to turn around. We picked our own site as there was only one other camper there besides the owners. They had full hook up and sewer which is all we needed passing through. We would stay again while passing thru. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Comfortable, quiet park at a great price with friendly, helpful staff. Wifi was not very dependable and no TV options, so a great place to disconnect. Spaces are pull through and level, improvements are being made throughout the park. No picnic tables and just a few small trees. 2 washers ($1.75) and 3 dryers ($1) are used by guests and town visitors as well... did the job. Constant stream of trains nearby mostly provide background noise as no whistles woke us up. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Fort Bowie nearby is a unique historical, free National Monument nearby that requires an informative 1.5 mile hike to the visitor center. Very interesting and we were there at a great time to enjoy being outside: highs in the 70s (a great multicache there for fellow geocachers!) Be sure to enjoy the local pistachios and pecans as well as other treats in the store here at the park.
