Great stay.. park is super convenient to local towns and attractions. Free shuttle to the casino 3 mins away. Nice pool and hot tub. Just off the freeway with easy access and great flat concrete pads. We camped at Distant Drums RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Very nice park. Stayed over a weekend, very quiet, clean. It is located near Sedona so it's a great place to stay. It's across the freeway from a casino so if you like to play this is your place. We camped at Distant Drums RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a nice campground. Very clean, nice pool and hot tub, nice laundry room, paved roads. Easy to navigate, it is close to I-17, so there is some traffic noise. Internet is poor, as it did not work at the site for most of our stay and when it did work it was only because I had an external signal booster. We camped at Distant Drums RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This place could only accommodate us for 6 days (we wanted a week) so we got stuck paying the daily rate, making for a very expensive stay. We were parked in Site 66 which is EXTREMELY tight - even the camp host told us he doubted we'd fit with a 36' fifth wheel and he told the office not to put any fifth wheels there - but alas, they told us Site 66 or we had to leave because they had no other spots. We managed to get in after a stressful time backing up about 20 times. The host was helpful backing us in. The pool, hot tub, fitness center, and laundry room were all nice. Only 4 washers and constantly a line for the laundry room - they could use more washers. I will echo everyone else when I say the spots are VERY small. Between our truck and our fifth wheel we had about 5 square feet of room for our daughter to play outside. We literally had other RV's feet from ours on all sides. Water, electric, sewer - all fine. Didn't try the cable. Office staff exceptionally nice and helpful. Overall we did not like the cramped quarters and having to pay such a high rate for 6 days. It would have been nice if they gave us weekly and just let us stay 6, it would have saved us $$. No playground for kids was a slight negative for us - we did see other kids there too. Otherwise the park itself was clean and well managed. We camped at Distant Drums RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Park has 26 sites that are gravel with concrete patios, about 10 pull through sites with your awning opening facing your neighbors awning Sites 35-50 are pull into sites facing out of the park Excellent for a motor home - some with views I would have preferred them over my pull through Other items were back in with double wide space with parking and patio Excellent dog park and clubhouse We would stay here again. This is a premium Snow Bird location. Most sites are back-in with a few pull-in. I've not seen pull-in sites before but seems practical for the big diesel pushers they put there. Most sites are concrete double width so parking your toad or truck is not a problem. The large staff keeps the park immaculate. There are no discounts during the Snow Bird season, hence the Value rating. We camped at Distant Drums RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Would have rated the park much higher, however the roads within the park are extremely narrow, much narrower then any other park we have been in, making the parking of RV's very difficult. Not likely to return. We camped at Distant Drums RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

If you are looking for peace and quiet and space to stretch out, this is NOT the place for you! If you are looking for a place to stay overnight, this park will do. We'll start with the positives aspects of this RV park. +The front office staff was friendly. +The park was clean and well-maintained. +All trash was picked up by staff on golf carts. +The grounds support staff delivered/picked-up an air compressor that I needed for a tire issue. +The grounds support staff escorted us to our site and assisted in parking. +There is a casino and gas station directly across the freeway. +The weekly rate was very reasonable. For our needs and desires, the negatives far outweighed the positives. -The overwhelming majority of sites at this park are very, very close together and fit together like puzzle pieces! For example, the tow vehicle/parking spot for the site behind us was directly parallel to the rear of our trailer. -Our site only allowed for space enough for our trailer and truck; there was no place for our chairs, tables, etc. other than in front of the trailer near the road or the three feet of space between the trailer and our truck! -The WiFi was completely unusable! All of the long-term folks shared the same story and all of them relied on their own mobile hot spots. -There were no tables or space to relax on our site. -No fire pits and/or open fires. -When we opened our shades, it was like we were at an RV dealership! All we saw, within feet of our trailer, were our neighbors' RV's! -The freeway noise was intolerable! We ended up leaving two days early because it was impossible to sleep and/or relax! -As there were many long term tenants, one of them had their coaches power-washed starting at 8:00 A.M.! In conclusion, we only recommend this park for an overnight stay. We camped at Distant Drums RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Nicest park we have stayed in. Easy in and easy out, close to highway. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent fenced in dog park. Concrete pads and patio with picnic table. First time we stayed at a site that was a buddy site (patio to patio), but it was fine. Sites could be a little bigger but they are so well landscaped and taken care. That makes up for the size. We were in a pull thru, other sites are a little roomier. Highly recommend. We camped at Distant Drums RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park with one major exception. Power was poor when we were there, enough that my EMS shut my AC down (voltage dropped to under 104VAC). That should not happen in a new park like this, and it wasn't just me. It is a well laid out park, showing someone designed this to maximize use of space. Interior roads are paved, but a bit narrow. Sites were concrete, just large enough for a big rig, but mine and most others were a bit off level. Enough that I needed to add boards to get level. Hot tub was great. A nice park, but I would not stay here again due to power issues. Our rate was a group rate, we had a rally here. We camped at Distant Drums RV Resort in a Motorhome.

A great park. Escort to site and help backing in. Wifi good at times. Roads easy to get around. No noise from highway. All the other guests where quiet. Casino $10 was fun. Concrete pad large and only needed 1 level on the side. Room for car on the side. Pick up garbage at the front of site. Would come back if ever in the area again. Although this park can hold lots of people, the sites are designed so that you have a small patio, a place to park, a little tree and something to look at other than your neighbor. It's a very attractive park. There is a great dog run with shade. Also a nice pool. The people who work there are awesome. One thing that was a problem was that Verizon didn't work so well - sometimes not at all. But the lovely ladies at the desk were great in finding places where I could get reception in their building. This is a central place to stay and you can explore all around you. We camped at Distant Drums RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This a very nice park owned and operated by the Navajo Nation. Our site was a head-in, which means we had to back out to leave. It was a lot easier than it sounds! No problem at all. Our tow vehicle easily parked beside us. Utilities were good. Trash is picked up at your site. They give you $10 play money for the casino and there is a free shuttle. We would stay here again. Very clean, manicured, well run park. Easy on/off highway and plenty of room at registration. Excellent pool, dog park, laundry and club room. Small but nice store area and all, the employees were friendly and helpful. Utilities are well laid out and in great condition. Wide open sky for satellite and decent cable tv. The website and map does not indicate that some sites are pull-in, some are back-in and all the pull-through sites are 'buddy sites' (patios facing each other) Some are 'premium', with more of a view. These things should be indicated on the map! We stayed in a pull-through, and although it was long enough for our 36' motorhome and towed vehicle, our slide outs were 22" from the motorhome next door! This is the closest we've ever camped next to another motorhome. Nice, convenient shuttle to Cliff Castle Casino next door (which is a very nice place, btw) Wifi was awful (no excuse for this these days) and Verizon cell service was horrible. Might stay here again, but only in a pull-in site which has nice views and actual elbow room. Both the Shell and Chevron stations at the intersection of I-17 and 260 have some motorhome/RV access. We camped at Distant Drums RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sedona Pink Jeep tours are fun! One of the best and most relaxing train rides is at the Verde Valley Railway (splurge for first class!) in Clarkdale. Johnny Rockets and Storytellers restaurant in the casino. Bascha's grocery in town carries everything (and has a Wells Fargo) Do not miss Montezuma's Castle and Montezuma Well!

This is a tough campground to rate fairly. The service is excellent along with how they keep up with cleanliness of it. Most pads are level and cement. Dog park is OK. This is a resort in every way. Pool, bathrooms, showers, and the grounds all kept in immaculate condition! Sounds great doesn't it? Now the bad. Road noise from I-17 never stops. Its goes on all day and night. There's a ridiculous high intensity lighted bill board that lights up almost the whole campground at night. Wi/Fi is a joke and shouldn't even be advertise as having it! Truly the worst cable Tv we have ever experienced at a resort type of campground. Verizon signal barely works. Wish I could give it a higher mark as the people were very nice here as we stayed for a month waiting for our new home in the area. It is what it is and even if they update the wi/fi and cable, the road noise and that billboard would prevent me from giving them anything higher then a 8.
