Called to make reservation with Passport America. When we arrived they would not give us the Passport discount. Very hard to get to park and it is only a few feet from interstate so it was noisy. Supposed to have 50 amp service but only had 30 amp when we arrived. Satellite friendly. Verizon worked well. Check in Lady was friendly and helpful under the circumstance. We camped at Krazy K RV Park in a Motorhome.

When we called for reservation, they were full, but the helpful people said we could stay in their "overflow" which did have a full hook up. The short entrance road is a little rough, but easily doable, just drive slow. The site was at the top of the hill and the water pressure was a little low and the 30 amp did not have a breaker at the pedestal. Since we were at the top of the hill our sewer ran somewhat uphill, however other sites did not have this issue. The wifi was so/so. The staff was very helpful with local information and helping us park. We camped at Krazy K RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

First off, this place is immediately adjacent to a 75mph highway, so regardless of where you stay in the park, road noise is a real issue. Getting a reservation pretty much anywhere near this area in Feb/Mar is a big challenge, and this turned out to be our only option. We stayed in an overflow spot with no sewer connection, which was certainly not ideal. It was also the closest spot to the highway, so that day and night, it sounded like the Daytona 500 was going on outside. It was awful. The location was also pretty far from most of the things you'd want to see in Sedona, etc., so it wasn't particularly conveniently located. The staff complained bitterly about parking people in the evening, despite the fact that it took almost no time to accomplish. I could have done it without their assistance. The facilities were nice, but since only a 30 amp was available, using a/c was not possible and several days were quite hot. Opening the windows just made noise that much worse. The interior roads were in a state of disrepair and in need of immediate attention, including the main entryway. The nearby terrain was topographically severe. The food options locally were not good, and you had to go to Sedona or further for decent options. Our stay was not particularly pleasant, and we likely would not return unless we had no other option. We camped at Krazy K RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Difficult to get a reservation here. We expected an overflow site and when we arrived found a camper had vacated early and we were escorted to a full hook-up, pull thru site. Quite a surprise in view of how busy this CG is. The site is level gravel with concrete patio, plenty of parking room, no TV. Utilities are an easy reach. Trees block OTA antenna and no CTV. Wi-fi is good. Owners are very accommodating and friendly and the host campers do a good job. Amenities are fairly close, either in Camp Verde or Cottonwood. We enjoyed our stay here and will return in the future. We camped at Krazy K RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots of historic sites in and around the Verde Valley. The old mining town, Jerome, is a cool place to visit. Propane at Flame in Camp Verde is $1.99. In Cottonwood there is an RV dealer selling propane at $1.50.

Avoid this nightmare! The name characterizes the Managers. Krazy. This camp charges Champaign prices and delivers flat beer product! Besides being right next to freeway, ALL sites, and small spaces. Campground is noisy, crowded and dirty. To add insult to injury, poor access to campground. Even though the campground can be seen from freeway (17) Basically need to drive 3-5 mies, outta the way, to get to it. Prepare to be disappointed if you stay here! We camped at Krazy K RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We selected this park because we thought it would be close to Sedona. If this is your goal too, we discovered that the parks in the Cottonwood area are actually significantly closer and aren't right on the freeway. So live and learn. Overall the park is nice. The people are friendly and the facilities are clean. Lots of trees (for the area). It's an ADULTS only park (with lots of seniors) so it's very quiet and most everyone keeps to themselves. You see people sometimes walking their dogs or driving around in their golf carts to go to the trash or laundry area. We are here in June during a crazy heat wave with 115 degree highs during the day so that's forcing us inside, but that's not the park's fault. We're told the heat is unusual. But it's still the desert in the summer so I'm assuming 100+ degree days are probably typical this time of year. Even with our 50 amp connection, we keep tripping the breaker, just trying to keep the inside cool. Overall we have no complaints about the park itself. For us, though, we will probably not be back because of the freeway noise. We are literally parked 40 feet away from the I-17, which is a very busy interstate with trucks and cars zooming by all day and night. Sure, you sort of get used to it, but I like to drink a glass of wine outside and watch the sunset and the freeway noise is just overbearing. But again, the park itself is decent. We camped at Krazy K RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Downtown Camp Verde and downtown Cottonwood and nearby Jerome are all really charming and we highly recommend visiting them all. Also, when driving your rig along I-17, the right lane is a disaster, filled with potholes and is a horribly bumpy ride with steep inclines and declines (6%+ grades for miles). So be careful and take it slow.

Reserved in advance, arrived on time, paid for rest of stay and was then told they had homeless using the shower/restroom so, as of today, they would be closing the restroom at 8:00pm and not reopening again until 8:00am. Absolutely no acceptions. The owner then forgot to open until 8:20am. We could have boondocked at Cliff Casino (5 minutes away) and had better service at zero cost. We stayed in a 43ft 5th wheel in a nice pull through spot. Power water and sewer were convenient. Driveway was wide enough to park with one try. The park is quiet and clean. With the windows open you can hear the freeway but it was not annoying. The check-in staff were very friendly and led us to our spot and watched out for obstacles. I would return again. I reserved a site that was flat 5 months in advance. I got there and they gave my site away. I got the site next to the dirt road with all the dust. Its way out of level. My bottom step is up 25 inches off ground. Its terrible trying to get up into motor home. I also reserved a pull thru so I did not have to take off the tow dolly. when I told the person at the office, she just looked at me. The place is dusty and dirty. Only 3 wash machines. Work our room is tiny and full of broken equipment and TV. Jacuzzi is not heated to therapeutic temperatures. Its a warm bath. can you spell dump? We camped at Krazy K RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here several times in the past few years. The owners are friendly, helpful and busy. The CG is small and busy. There are many permanent/long term residents but they welcome transient RVers as well. If there is a drawback it would be I-17 just outside the concrete wall on the north edge of the CG. Utilities are well placed and dependable, concrete patios. There is decent separation between sites, roads are gravel and sites are crushed rock. Hot tub and laundry are clean and accessible. We enjoy our stays here and will return when in the area. We camped at Krazy K RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice little park right next to I-17. Noise was not an issue at this time of year, but maybe during nice weather with windows open. Owner was friendly at check in, offering to guide me into site. There are about 20 ota channels. Wifi (free) proved to be pretty much useless. Laundry 3 washers $1.50 & 4 Dryers $1.00 There is a Bashas supermarket Walgreens, CVS in town and a few gas stations. Rate is based on weekly rate. We camped at Krazy K RV Park in a Motorhome.

Convenient to Route 17 and PPA accepted which is why we chose this place. Stayed two days and spent very little time in our camper. Convenient to Sedona, Cottonwood, and Jerome, as well as the Montezuma National Monument in Camp Verde.

Visited all the above and came back to our camper only to sleep.

Management was very accommodating, however WiFi not so good. We got our money's worth. We camped at Krazy K RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Don't miss the sights in this area. Montezuma National Monument is a wonder to see, Sedona is awesome, and Jerome, although quirky, is worth visiting.

Do not attempt to drive your RV to Jerome. Road has several S turns and is tricky to navigate in any vehicle larger than a pickup truck.

Overall Rating:

We camped at Krazy K RV Park in Camp Verde, AZ for four nights the first part of March, 2016. We chose Krazy K and Camp Verde to see the sights of Sedona. The campground is about 30 to 35 minutes away from Sedona, but the value for camping at this park far exceeded the very pricey parks in Sedona itself. The park is very rustic, but it completely accommodated our needs. It is located right next to the interstate, but that was not a problem for us. The park has a small pool and hot tub and a small dog walk area. Clothes lines are not allowed. The staff was very friendly and helpful and very welcoming of our two small dogs. The park is small but does have full hook up, spacious, pull-thru lots. If we are in the Sedona area, we would probably stay at this park again because of the great value for the money. We camped at Krazy K RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
