Overpriced for what you get. The sites were relatively level and average in size. Large trees provided some shade, but like most rural parks in Arizona, the roads and sites are dirt, dirt, and more dirt, which resulted in dust, dust, and more dust. They periodically started up an old water truck to spray the roads, but let it idle long enough that we were almost overcome with diesel fumes. The deal breaker was the two work campers who spent about an hour causing a huge dust storm around our freshly washed coach (and everyone else's rig) with leaf blowers. It is clear that management's first priority is not the people staying here. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

This is a nice little park that is well maintained. Crushed red rock sites and roads. Great divider vegetation. We had a satellite friendly site but there are some in trees that would be challenging. The sites closest to Highway 260 could be a bit noisy during the day but there is not much traffic at night. Sites farther away from the highway are very quiet. Great park. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Sites have good spacing. Most have mature trees for shade. There are places to walk, a good dog run, very little road noise, helpful staff, everything is very clean and neat. We stay here once or twice a year. Some folks spend the summer here. Community campfires, community dinners/picnics in a very nice area. Worth the price. Showers and restrooms are immaculate. Lots of touristy things to do in the area. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

The folks that work here are super friendly and hard working to keep the park spotless. In our 12 years of RVing, this is one of the best parks we have stayed at. They are definitely the MOST dog friendly park for sure. Spots are bigger than normal and clearly marked off with cute little fences between each spot. There are some nice trails to walk dogs and one ends up at the creek. Also, sites are level and we didn't need to do anything. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice RV camp. Agree with all other positive reviews, but WIFI not working either of the 2 times we've been there. Our gravel site was spacious, had some shade, and included a picnic table. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $14.00

The park is spotless with sites ranging from very large to a bit cramped, some close to the highway and others further back with very little road noise. There are many large trees which must provide great shade in the warmer months. Looking at the pictures on the website, we were concerned about low hanging limbs but this was not an issue. The majority of sites are back-ins with a few pull-thrus. Electric was good. Because the water comes from a well, the pressure was great when the pump was running but very low when it was off. Verizon phone service was fine but internet while showing 4G was painfully slow. The laundry room was very clean.
The one very negative for us in this park was the daily noise caused by the park owners. Although there was enough existing firewood for several seasons, the chain saw and log splitter were in use for several hours at a time most days, including the holiday weekend with a full park. It drove us crazy and we empathized with those parked directly next to the activity. The owners had previously run an excavation or similar business and still owned the heavy equipment. This also needed to be started and driven around on a regular basis. It was unfortunate because it is a pleasant park but we were not unhappy to leave at the end of our months stay.
Also, for those staying monthly there is a $5.00 charge for reading the electric meter. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great place. Super clean and well cared for. If someone complains about this park then they cannot be pleased. We will return here. Nightly rate might not be accurate as I cant remember. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

What a little gem this is. Very friendly staff, escorted to our site. Clean level fine gravel. Nice shade trees along & between sites are adequately trimmed. No cable, but good antenna reception of major channels. Most notable thing negatively was a significant amount of road noise from Hwy 260, quite surprising to us though quieter at night and didn't bother our sleep. Despite staying a short time, we were eagerly welcomed to a great Halloween potluck; such a friendly group of both permanent & longer stay folks as well as short stays. We would certainly return & like to stay longer. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a well maintained adult-oriented park, staff were friendly and helpful at check in. Roads and pads are gravel, our level pull through site was spacious and big rig access was good. Quiet with plenty of space around our RV to park our towed. There was a split rail fence in between each site with shrubs and trees for privacy, and the huge cottonwoods were wonderful for shade. A small picnic table was also on site. A few long term residents, but they kept their sites neat and tidy and were very friendly. The laundry was clean and well equipped. The bathrooms were spotless. Pet friendly with a pet walk area and a pet play area, but they do enforce the pick up after your pets rule. WiFi and cell were good. There was a pretty walking trail all along the creek. You will find food stores in Cottonwood about 15 miles down the road and plenty of sightseeing all around this area. We would stay here again. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice RV Park. The sites are roomy by RV park standards. Everything is neat and cared-for. Each site is level and has a nice picnic table, with lots of huge cottonwood trees, and trees/shrubs between each site, along with split-rail fences. Staff is friendly and helpful. There are a couple of we'll-maintained hiking trails along Clear Creek. There is a group picnic area, with grills, and donuts/coffee on Saturday mornings. There is a bonfire once or twice a week, at which everyone is welcome. Close to highway, but not noisy. Night lighting is dim, so you can see the stars. Restrooms clean as a whistle. Showers good. Highly recommended. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

About 8 miles from Interstate. Very quiet. Lots of shade. Pull through sites are spacious. We found to be Very dog friendly. They have a small doggie fenced area plus a 1/2 mile walking path to a river stream. Friendly staff people who ask that your dog not use the grass area and not be kept unattended. Lots of happy campers who really enjoyed the campground setting. Closeness to lots of attractions, hiking and beatiful scenery. Gravel roads and sites that are raked after each use. Will definitely return and our Golden Retriever enjoyed his stay under the cottonwood trees and shade. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

This is a review is for DOG OWNERS. I wanted to stay here but after calling I realized this is not a dog friendly park and my dog is my best buddy. Dog parents will understand. I want to give my fellow dog parent RVers a heads up to avoid problems or having to move to another campground under undesirable circumstances.

When I called to make a reservation I was told there was grass but a dog was not allowed on it.

Additionally, you could NOT have your dog tied outside your rig unless your were physically outside. In other words, if your dog was tied up at your site and you were sitting in your rig with the door open, you would be breaking the rules.

Otherwise the majority of users give this park good reviews, and I am sure it's very nice it just not a dog person's park. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

We read one of the reviews about this not being a dog friendly park but decided to stay here for a week anyway, since online this looked like the best place to spend our time. Boy are we glad we did! There was absolutely nothing about this park that we found to be objectionable. The park is spotless, the staff is great, friendly, and efficient. They do have a grassy area which is off limits to dogs, but we are willing to take our dogs for their walks on the well kept trails and save the grassy area for folk that do not want to have to "watch their step". While walking the trails we noticed several places where dog owners refused to pick up after their animals and I would not want to see that in the park's very nice grassy patch. We were completely happy with the everything about this park and have put this on our "favorites" list. We will definitely be back. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Second time and will stay again. $38 reflects weekly rate. About 10 miles from freeway which is a plus for us. Extremely easy in and out with our 57' total length. You really feel like you are camping. Very close Sedona, Cottonwood, Prescott. You won't find nicer folks to enhance your stay. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice older park near the river. The place is spotless!! Each site is raked, one direction, before you arrive. Great, very large shade trees for the afternoon sun. You are taken and helped guided into your site by the manager. Nice public area for gatherings. Some sites are a little close. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.
