This is a really nice adult park in Camp Verde. The staff are very friendly and eager to help. We had a very nice man escort us to our site and help back up in. These sites are nice and wide, with a wooden fence in between to separate you from your neighbor. We were in site 12. It was easy to back into and was up against a hill that blocked the wind, which was nice. My only complaint was that there was a lot of traffic noise from Hwy 260. It wasn't too bad when we were inside, but it was hard to ignore when we were sitting outside. There isn't much around the park, but there is a nice trail that leads down to the creek. We would stay here again. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Great park out of the way. I like it when they take you to your site and ask if there is any they can help with. We used this as home base for travel to Sedona. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

This park is a total 10 from the moment you check in. Very clean and well maintained park, perhaps one of the nicest parks we've stayed in. It's so nice to be out of the "resort style" parks. Nice and down to earth. Sites are a good size. Someone mentioned road noise, during the day there is a bit but nothing distracting at night it's very quite here. No cable but picked up about 35 TV channels OTA. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Friendly office and ground maintenance staff. Nice walking trails to the creek. Our big rig just fit on site #50. It was a busy corner and we could hear the road noise, no leaves on trees yet. We would return but request a site away from the road. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Camp Verde adds a "privilege tax" on camping on top of a high county and state tax. Take a trip to see Montezuma's Well and Castle. Sedona and Cottonwood are a 30 min drive. Cottonwood had a city tax on all groceries. Visit Tuzigoot National Monument, drive Oak Creek Canyon scenic byway. Jerome has fantastic views, drove the scenic byway to Prescott for craft beer. Flagstaff was chilly and some snow. Highway 17 going north from Sedona to Flagstaff is in need to maintenance.

Overall Rating:

We have stayed here several times. Great RV Park for adults. Wide rows with spacious RV sites, very level gravel which they groomed after each check out. Many trees, a fantastic dog park with a small agility course. Our dog just loved the long run and playing with other dogs. It's next to a small nature area for walks in the woods along a babbling creek. Camp hosts are wonderful, they go out of their way to make sure you're having a good time. All the staff are friendly. Saturday mornings they have coffee and donuts, there's a tip jar to help with the cost. They periodically have Pot Lucks. They have camp fires at night in the group area. There are many seasonal RV's who are also very friendly. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Moscato's Italian restaurant in town was delicious. White table cloth, excellent service, reminiscent of Italian restaurants in Chicago or New York. Sedona is close and Flagstaff is an hour away.

It is well maintained with very friendly service. They added personal touches with gathered information about the area with doggie treats and candies for their dog owners. They provide social gatherings such as donuts and coffee and a Super Bowl Party. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed for a month (rate + electric). Very well maintained. Clean restrooms, showers and laundry area. Campground has many trees so if you have satellite be sure to ask for a satellite friendly site. Gravel sites. Saturday mornings have coffee & pastries. We were there around Thanksgiving and held a pot luck for anyone who wanted to attend. Decorated campground for the holidays. No fires allowed at sites but have a community fire pit. They supply the wood, chairs & blankets in case you get cool. Have walking trails nearby and a small dog park. Convenient to town. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Zane Grey RV Resort is a great park at a great fee centrally located in Camp Verde, Arizona. The staff is amazingly cheerful and helpful and they've created a very warm atmosphere in the park. The park is 55 and over so it's quiet (which we like) but, if you are on the rowdy side, Zane Grey will not work for you. The bathrooms and showers are extremely clean and the gravel sites are raked and blown regularly. You will get gravel inside your coach, however. There is a dog run, and excellent stream with hikes, and the office even rents videos for $1.00 a night. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Nice Park. Beautiful BBQ and picnic area. Restrooms clean and spacious. # of showers not adequate for size of park. Very helpful staff. Gravel sites well maintained, but fine gravel was constantly tracked inside. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This park should be called "Zen Grey" the way it is so well manicured throughout the park - every time someone departs their space, these guys appear and rake the spots so they look beautiful again. The staff was extremely helpful and professional. Large and level spaces all with large shade trees. You can tell the staff is very concerned about their RVer's. This is also the only RV Park for miles around that we were able to use our MiFi and got good service for our phones and internet. We would take a daily walk around the path to the very pretty creek - less than a mile all the way around and a wonderful nature trail, we saw deer in the evening and some mornings - very relaxing atmosphere. We highly recommend this park as one our favorites...not only in Arizona, but we travel full time. They may have their equal somewhere, but none better. Overall Rating:

This is, hands down, one of the best parks I've ever stayed at. Spotlessly clean, very friendly and helpful management, and very peaceful and quiet. Spaces are large with some pull-throughs. Big rig friendly. Sites are level. The park is situated on a river, so what you have is about a half mile wide swath of forest in the middle of the desert. HUGE trees and lots of shade. The river is gorgeous...beautiful trails lead you there. I could spend forever by the river. The park is 40 miles from Sedona, Jerome, and all the attractions of the area, so less than an hour drive, but away from the tourists and noise. I'd give Zane Grey RV Park 20 stars if I could. Can't wait to come back. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

I considered rating this park as excellent but the drill sargent that checked me in really gave me a bad experience. She not only treated me poorly on an couple of interactions but she also forced one of our members to accept a back-in site when she had reserved a pull thru site. This lady is in her mid to laste 70's and not very experienced with backing up a large RV. As others have stated, the WiFi is not usable. In fact I found that the staff were using their own access points because the WiFi is so poor. I was told that they have a new owner for the park and that they will be fixing that problem. The majority of the staff are excellent. I was escorted around the property to show me all of the amenities. We will consider this park for a future visit.
