Paved roads. Site was a pull through, but just long enough to fit our trailer & truck. Hook ups fine, no WiFi. Lot of Park homes, older too. Friendly people but they didn't really include the transcients in their get-togethers. Wouldn't return. We camped at Foothills West RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Rate is approximate: we stayed here Coast to Coast. We came 3 years ago to stay for only a few days and ended up buying a park model trailer. We like it here a lot and come back every winter. There are only 4 short term pull-through sites, but there are quite a few long term sites. There is also a nice community of snowbirds who come every winter. A nice friendly place to stay: short or long term. We camped at Foothills West RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Stayed here under the Good Neighbor Park rate. Had a very nice pull through site. They only have a few overnight spots as there are mostly park models. Staff not overly friendly. We camped at Foothills West RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.Undo

This park has insufficient power. Should not be used by RVers. Mostly residential units. We signed in for a week. First morning - power clicked on & off a hundred times. They moved us twice to get to an "improved" site and still poor power. It was cold and our inside temp got down to 40 degrees. The first site we were assigned was right by the dumpsters in the back of the park. Terrible! Finally, we asked for refund of remaining two days AND GOT IT! and left. Beware several of the Encore/Lifestyle parks are old and full of trailer homes and old camp trailers. We camped at Foothills West RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.Undo

This park has little traffic noise despite being on the approach for the local airport. There is not a lot of night time air traffic. There is no highway or other traffic noise. The noise from dogs, however, is quite another matter. If you stay here, do not park anywhere near #57 as they leave Yip and Yap outside all day unattended and even when home are oblivious to the the noise. Local dogs also add to the cacophony at night. We have stayed in different sites on the West of the park in other years and didn't have the dog nuisance. The pool and spa are nice and there is a recreation hall for use when not scheduled for regular events. There is a clothesline which I love. There is a putting green, horseshoe pit, shuffleboard and Bocce Ball but I have never seen these areas used. The $3.00 "Resort Fee" must be taken into account when staying less than a month. When I called to ask about rates they did not mention this little tidbit. Apparently, the old entrance came in from Hopi but that was changed some time ago so the entrance is now off Val Vista Blvd. Most GPS units I have encountered still try to take you in via Hopi. We have stayed here three different years for periods from two days to one month. We will not stay here again unless there is a guarantee they will address the dog issue. We have spent 3 winter seasons here but will probably not return. This park is owned by Encore, and they choose to call it a resort; which it is not even though there is a $3/day resort fee for anything less than a one-month stay. I don't know what that fee covers!! I like the rural setting of the park and the outside clotheslines. The residents are friendly, and it is a dog-friendly park, although sometimes so dog friendly that no one pays attention to non-stop barking. The park is neat and clean, but there is nothing beyond the ordinary. We experience extreme electrical power fluctuations very frequently, and we are subjected to sewer odors as frequently. We have been bumping through the same potholes in the road for all three seasons we have been here. A shovelful of asphalt thrown into the potholes is as much as is done. It is obvious that only the bare minimum needs are met by Encore, and there is no investment being made in the infrastructure. The manager is an unpredictable personality who has a need to maintain control. Therefore her workcamping staff are less than effective because they have not been given adequate training and "only know half the story". We as guests, even return guests, don't feel our patronage is appreciated. We will take a look next winter to see if there have been any improvements.
