The park is very clean and well maintained. No picnic table on site. There are a lot of park models so we found the park not as friendly as some others we have visited. Pool was nice. Mail service good. Our problem with the park that it was not dog friendly. We were on one side of the park and the dog run was completely on the other side. Told we had to keep dog on the street and there were many signs that said no dogs. I ended up taking our dog around the storage lot. The park was also very noisy - there is a train nearby that runs all night and blows its horn all night. Since we were parked by the dumpster we had a lot of road noise. We have been to other parks in Casa Grande and will choose one of them next time. We camped at Sundance 1 RV Resort (Active Adult park) in a Motorhome.Undo

Internal roads are wide and paved, sites are gravel, level, and have a small concrete patio. Facilities worked well, but are located at the back of the site. The water connection is below ground and awkward to access. Our site was satellite friendly. Staff were very friendly. The park WiFi would not work at our site. They give you 24 hours free, then you have to pay, I could not connect to their WiFi at all, so bring your own Internet solution. T-Mobile cell and Virgin Mobile MiFi service was very good. The park was quiet as most of the residents are long term, friendly Snowbirds. We were escorted to our site, which was nice. We would stay here again. We camped at Sundance 1 RV Resort (Active Adult park) in a Fifth Wheel.
Be sure to see the Casa Grande Ruins National Monument.

Short term stays are placed in a gravel parking area right along the road where the other residents speed past. This campground is very close to a level railroad crossing so there is train noise and whistles blowing at all hours. At 6:30 am the maintenance staff were working on the trailer directly behind us to get it ready for the occupants to arrive. They were noisy too! The weekend staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful but the office staff were busy training someone which was their only focus. On the positive side the facilities in the park are very nice. Would not recommend and would not stay again. We camped at Sundance 1 RV Resort (Active Adult park) in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

This is a gated 55+ community with many permanent park models. The visiting RV area is half asphalt and half gravel, kind of between 2 roads but very convenient for the activities center and all the many craft rooms. We stayed 2 weeks over Christmas and New Years and had a fantastic time. There is so much to do it's hard to keep track. They have just opened (Dec 2014) a new sports area at the rear of the park with many excellent facilitied for Pickle Ball (8 courts), Shuffleboard, horse Shoes, Boche Ball. there is even an asphalt paved RC Car race track!
Bring a bicycle to get around, the park is nice and flat.
The whole place is extremely clean and well landscaped.
everyone we met was friendly and welcoming.
If you have an RV over 10 years old call them before you get here. We camped at Sundance 1 RV Resort (Active Adult park) in a Motorhome.
If you want to try Pickle Ball they have classes on Mondays morning and afternoon. There is usually a band or DJ on Friday evening if you like to dance for a small fee.

Very large resort with mostly park models. The resort is very clean and has many activities and amenities. Short term RV are parked in one area where the sites are very wide but not real long. The sites are also 1/2 pavement and 1/2 gravel, which made walking a little treacherous. There were two major problems with the park for us. It is not pet friendly. There is one area for pets, a large fenced in dirt lot. There was no trash receptacle at the dog area so you had to take the poop bag back with you. The area was a long way from our site and the gate was locked at 6pm. Not sure where your dog was suppose to "go" after 6 pm! There also was only one dumpster for trash and it was a long way from where our site was located.
This park is just not for us. We camped at Sundance 1 RV Resort (Active Adult park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Don't come here if you are a dog owner. There are new rules that allow dogs anywhere in the park. Many of the owners of park models are unhappy with this and are unfriendly if you are walking your dog to the dog run areas which are just outside the park through a gate. You must either keep your dog on your lot or walk him in the street to the dog park. There is no parking at the dog park area since you are not allowed to park on the street. A few residents do have "we are dog friendly" on their park model. If no dog this is a great and friendly resort, with many activities, and large RV spaces. Only without a dog would I come back. This is a nice park if one wants to join in social activities with others who live in the park. There are rooms for crafts, sewing, stained glass, ceramics, computers and more. The wifi and cellular service are bad, though, at least they were at the peak of the winter season. The water hookup was difficult and required wrenching the underground, key-less spigot; other hookups were normal. Cable TV had a good selection of movie, news and sports channels. The distance to the nice dog-walking areas and laundry were a bit far from some sites, and the one trash dump area was quite far away from more than half the park. This park is definitely geared toward residential use by people who would enjoy staying for a month or more at a time. We camped at Sundance 1 RV Resort (Active Adult park) in a Motorhome.
It's about four to five miles to the shopping centers, so ask for a site near the office where the spigots are above ground if you don't have a toad and need to unhook in order to go places.

We ended up here by chance. Our truck broke down on the freeway from Yuma, and the two company needed a campground to leave the trailer at when they took the truck in for repairs. Good Sam gave us a few numbers. This was the first and only one my husband called. When we arrived at the RV park, a man in a golf cart shouted "follow me." He checked me in while the trailer was being unloaded. We had a gravel site. The park seemed very clean and tidy and nicely landscaped. We were only going to stay overnight, but ended up two nights, just to relax from our ordeal the day before. The office doesn't open until 10 a.m. but someone dropped off our receipt and final paperwork at 9 a.m. so we could get on the road. We definitely would stay here again. Level lots, good WiFi (extra cost), friendly people. There is train noise; however, you soon get used to it. Nice, clean facilities and lots to do. We stayed here on a 50% discount due to a special offer. We camped at Sundance 1 RV Resort (Active Adult park) in a Motorhome.Undo

We pulled into this park in the afternoon, after hours, and were greeted by a park host in a golf cart. He personally escorted us to our site and gave us an extensive amount of information on everything from hook ups to activities. My husband enjoys RC flying and there was a group meeting the next morning at a local field. The weather was spectacular. The facility was clean and spacious. Everyone was incredibly pleasant...so much so, we stayed a second night. The pool and spa were large and immaculate. Showers are required prior to entry. Pride emanated at this resort. The activities are too lengthy to list. The laundry facility was huge, spotless, in working order and inexpensive. We will definitely return! We used Passport America and they honored the discount. Very friendly park host greeted us upon check-in. We were offered a choice of several sites & we chose the one we spent the next 4 days in. Clean resort, lots of amenities, but a few things we found odd. 1. The dog walk outside the park is a virtual mud hole when it's wet! Odder still, there's nowhere to deposit pet waste once you've picked it up! 2. Not a garbage can anywhere to be found - ALL the garbage cans for the entire park are about 1/2 mile away at one end of the resort. 3. The available wifi is expensive for what you get (according to residents). I opted to take my netbook up to the library, where you can hook up for free. Other than those little hiccups, the sites are large with patios. Considering how lovely the weather is as a rule in Casa Grande, a patio is almost a requirement! Close to town for the inevitable necessities, and close to attractions. Also necessary when you're in the area as a tourist. About 20 + mins to Casa Grande ruins. We'd stay here again - for no other reason than the people in the park! Nice to be surrounded by friendly faces when you're a long ways from home! Passport America rate in November. Wanted to check out one of the 'mega parks' in this area for future considerations. Huge park: mostly park models/single wides with some RV's parked amongst them long term. To me, it's a stick built subdivision that let some RV's in. Guard gated with code for after hours. As others have stated, transient/overnighters are parked on the 'hot lot,' near the office/pool, which is a large cement lot with hook ups, side by side down the row. A place to spend the night (or two) but Wal-Mart has the same thing (without the hookups of course). Checked out the facilities. They have a ton of things going on. Warm pool/partially covered. Nice large covered spa. Friendly staff and 'hello's' from the residents as they went by on their morning walks or bikes or golf carts. An older park, on the edge of Casa Grande. Not as dazzling as some other places we saw for about the same (regular) rate. Mixed feelings about this place as the residents I met like it here, but it wasn't my thing. Train bothered us: sounded long and loud horns several times all night long. Not the park's fault of course, but it is a consideration. Provided cable good, AT&T cell ok and Verizon air card worked. Since there are no trees, of course satellite TV was fine. Even though the rate was fair, and maybe fine for some, we will continue looking and would not come back. The nightly rate was based on weekly stay. We had to pay for internet if we didn't wish to sit at the office areas for connection. Stayed in pull-thru which was very hot on pavement with no shade. Very friendly staff, residents and other campers. There was combination park models, transient units so there were lots of activities. The restrooms, showers, laundry and all facilities are super clean. This park has some "no dog" areas and no dog runs within the park so had to take our dog outside the park to exercise. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Sundance 1 RV Resort (Active Adult park) in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Very well maintained 55+ park. Everyone extremely friendly and welcoming. Sites are large, level, gravel with concrete pad and back-in except for short stay, pull through area which is all concrete. Loved the "no pet" sections: no waking to barking dogs for 2 months. However we heard that the owner's may change this in the near future, despite objection of current residents. Beautiful pool and other facilities. Every activity you can think of is available: some have slight charges, but mostly to help pay for pot luck party supplies. During our stay, we did not experience the bad smell, but were told it has happened, and just depends on the wind direction. Train noise was minimal to us. Monthly or seasonal guests are charged extra for cable TV. Wi-Fi was only available in clubhouse and not very good. Verizon cell and hot spot worked OK. Direct TV signal was fine. We will return, provided the "no pet" areas continue. We camped at Sundance 1 RV Resort (Active Adult park) in a Motorhome.Undo

We stayed here for the winter, 5 months. The park is awesome but the trains are annoying. A couple times a week the winds will blow in the smells from a nearby cattle feed lot but being farm people that didn't bother us. The park is about half park models who kind of keep to themselves so try to park near other RV's. The park has a gate and a wall completely around it. The wall is not high enough to keep the thieves out. One night 22 sites were burglarized which seemed to be no big deal to the park, police or newspaper. Just seemed like an everyday occurrence to them. The dust in the air is probably the worst thing about the area. It seems to never rain to clean the air and most people have allergic reactions. I would have to give the park very high ratings but not the area. If you like this area, this is the place for you. We camped at Sundance 1 RV Resort (Active Adult park) in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
