What a great find. Loved the campground, all new,and very nice. The staff is very friendly but needs a welcoming g committee. Be nice if someone came to the site and dragged us to some events. Helps people join the community. Definitely will return. We camped at Sundance 1 RV Resort (Active Adult park) in a Motorhome.

Stayed here 2 months, very busy place. Nice office people. clean and spacious lots with good hook ups. Sewer hook ups are in back of lot, so you need a lot of hose. Our sewer connection was high so it was hard to dump tanks because hoses had to go up hill! Sites need more gravel for fill around patios. Pool is nice and laundry room was ok. We camped at Sundance 1 RV Resort (Active Adult park) in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is very clean. The site was level with central hook ups. The cable was included but wifi was not but could be purchased from a local provider. The roads were wide and paved with easy turns and no obstacles. They also had a "washing permit" which was $10.00 that allowed washing both the rv and truck--great deal. We camped at Sundance 1 RV Resort (Active Adult park) in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed a week at this park. The sites are reasonably spacious and are gravel with a concrete patio. This park mainly caters to permanent park model owners. But probably 25% of the sites remain available to RVs. The amenities in the park are very good and there are numerous activities to participate in. This park is very much a destination park. While pets are allowed, they are clearly not welcome. We camped at Sundance 1 RV Resort (Active Adult park) in a Fifth Wheel.

This appears to be mostly Park models with a few short term sites. (unsold park space?) They have a very very active activities and there is something happening most of the time, they publish a schedule, if that's what your looking for. People were friendly & nice dog park. I was in the area on business so didn't use the facilities. They have a very nice large laundry facility. It is a gated park and we were not issued a gate pass so had to stop each time we entered, we did have a pass code for nights. We camped at Sundance 1 RV Resort (Active Adult park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

They have cable hook ups but my 25ft cable was not long enough. I suspect it is a problem they know about, they sell cable at the check in center. They advertise WiFi but is only in the "quite room" not at the sites. Verizon hot spot worked well. Walmart and other chain stores within 5 miles.

Very nice park, lots of space between sites. It was a Saturday when we arrived, office closed but host on duty took all our info and led us to our site, he was very friendly and helpful and was available if we needed anything. Good cable TV. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Sundance 1 RV Resort (Active Adult park) in a Motorhome.

Began with confusion. We were not told the office is closed over the weekend, no one to check in arrivals. No credit cards accepted, cash or check. CG is mix of park models and Rv's, permanent and snow birds. Our site was a pull through with plenty of space, unusual though, with gravel under the back wheels and asphalt under the front. Fun leveling. Hookups are convenient, CTV works well. Folks in this park are very unfriendly. When approached they avoid conversation and walk away. There is daily garbage pickup service, at your site. My front leveling blocks sank into the asphalt and had to be pried out. Activities here are pretty much geared to the permanent residents. We camped at Sundance 1 RV Resort (Active Adult park) in a Fifth Wheel.

These reviews can be very hard sometimes and this is the one park that is difficult.

This park is not for the discerning palate. Yes, it appears very clean and neat with lots of park models. All RV rental spaces are heading W or E, no north or south. So the heat blasts you all day long on one side of your rig until evening. At that time it comes blasting through the windshield on an bus type rig. I searched for another location so I could face E and avoid the evening sun. Problem was I wanted to be surrounded by other rver's. After all, that is one reason I do this. Could not find another spot as they scatter park models just anywhere and everywhere. We got parked on the main street in a nice double concrete pad. Only problem, incoming/outgoing rigs pass by spot most of the day. The management just does not seem to be connected to their RVing guests. They make a lot more money with park models being locked into annual rates for rent. What ever happened to true RV resorts for us middle class. Dumping trash is a traffic jam and no park pickup at site. That's quite a hassle with 700 spaces. Will not return......our rate is based on annual rate. We camped at Sundance 1 RV Resort (Active Adult park) in a Motorhome.

Our third year in the park for 10 days prior to storing the RV and going home. Virtually empty but always helpful & friendly hosts and office. Passport America rates up to 2 weeks is great. They allow mail to be delivered. The lots are big with a concrete slab, cable, excellent (paid) WiFi from AirBeam ($2/day), great pool & hot tub. We stayed one month, which is reflected in the daily rate. Sundance 1 is a destination. It is huge and a beautiful place to stay if you are going to be in and around Casa Grande. The drive to Phoenix is close to an hour, so if being close to Phoenix is your goal, stay further north. The sites are very large with lots of outdoor space near your rig. There are a lot of park models (very nice) and its winter visitors are regulars, with some having been at Sundance 1 for over 15 years. There are activities every day (at least during fall/winter): cards, pool, games, quilting, sewing, book club, knitting, crocheting, etc. They have newly added pickleball courts, a great indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub, (a very well organized) lending library, etc. However, there are three reasons we won't go back: first, as stated above, it's not close enough to Phoenix for us. Second, there are several train tracks nearby and the trains run and blow the whistles all night. DH counted 22 blows from one train at 2:00 a.m. While some might not be bothered by this, it kept me awake most nights (thus the reason I didn't rate it excellent). Third, it's not pet friendly. We have a ten-year old dog who can't always hold everything in before she gets to the designated spot. I had requested to be close to the doggy area, but we still had to walk quite a ways to the open space. We camped at Sundance 1 RV Resort (Active Adult park) in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is very clean and well maintained. No picnic table on site. There are a lot of park models so we found the park not as friendly as some others we have visited. Pool was nice. Mail service good. Our problem with the park that it was not dog friendly. We were on one side of the park and the dog run was completely on the other side. Told we had to keep dog on the street and there were many signs that said no dogs. I ended up taking our dog around the storage lot. The park was also very noisy - there is a train nearby that runs all night and blows its horn all night. Since we were parked by the dumpster we had a lot of road noise. We have been to other parks in Casa Grande and will choose one of them next time. We camped at Sundance 1 RV Resort (Active Adult park) in a Motorhome.

Internal roads are wide and paved, sites are gravel, level, and have a small concrete patio. Facilities worked well, but are located at the back of the site. The water connection is below ground and awkward to access. Our site was satellite friendly. Staff were very friendly. The park WiFi would not work at our site. They give you 24 hours free, then you have to pay, I could not connect to their WiFi at all, so bring your own Internet solution. T-Mobile cell and Virgin Mobile MiFi service was very good. The park was quiet as most of the residents are long term, friendly Snowbirds. We were escorted to our site, which was nice. We would stay here again. This is a gated 55+ community with many permanent park models. The visiting RV area is half asphalt and half gravel, kind of between 2 roads but very convenient for the activities center and all the many craft rooms. We stayed 2 weeks over Christmas and New Years and had a fantastic time. There is so much to do it's hard to keep track. They have just opened (Dec 2014) a new sports area at the rear of the park with many excellent facilitied for Pickle Ball (8 courts), Shuffleboard, horse Shoes, Boche Ball. there is even an asphalt paved RC Car race track!

Bring a bicycle to get around, the park is nice and flat.

The whole place is extremely clean and well landscaped.

everyone we met was friendly and welcoming.
