Overall Rating:

we had site 166 reserved when we made the reservation however they gave that away and we where placed in 213 somewhat tight since or neighbor parked a second trailer against our site made our site look smaller O well. Most of the park people where very friendly there seems to be a lot going on I am sure there was something for everyone. We did not do any park scheduled events. We stayed for one week the wi fi was bad I know wifi can be hard to get but this was the worst that I have encountered while traveling. As far as being an RV resort not sure that is correct there are more parks models than RV's I was told that they keep 20% for RV's which seem correct however a lot of RV's are permanent. The sites are nice if you have a park model people show pride in there yard's and there housing very clean and well kept .This is a long term park and thats what they cater to I understand that and I cannot commit to long term we will not return We camped at Val Vista RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

As many other reviews have already said, it is an older park with tight RV spaces sprinkled between park models. Well kept, very friendly and good activities. We booked to stay for the entire winter but once the new water came out we had to cancel. Even the fall special was shortened by 1 month (which was fine), but almost doubled in price. Apparently to be equal with all Cal Am parks. BUT all Cal Am parks are not equal. Some have a golf course, some have ball park, some have multiple pickle courts, etc. Therefore all the prices should not be the same. Jan - Mar. rates went up over 22%. YIKES!! take into account exchange rates it's got totally our of hand. Unfortunately for us we liked it and wanted to come back BUT we found this resort too late and the rates are just too high for what you get. The office staff were all excellent But be aware you have to use cash or cheque here. In this day and age this surprised us and had to make some changes. Not very convenient. Also you can only fill your laundry card at the office. This could and should be in the laundry room. We camped at Val Vista RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Contrary to a previous review there are only about 40% Park Models in the park. RVers are spread out among the existsing Park Models which allows for a good mix of people. The park offers numerous activities and if you are not busy it is really your own fault. The park is situated on the north side of Casa Grande which offers a great location if yopu are travelling into the Phoenix area or the Tuscon area. We arrived mid November and were only going to stay until January but decided to stay until the end of February. We will definitely be back for next year. Rate was based on the three month rate. We camped at Val Vista RV Park (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is an older park but well maintained and clean. There are a lot of activities for the older folks, however the swimming pool and hot tub are too small for this park. We had a hard time getting into the pool and hot tub due to being overcrowded.

There are new owners and they are fixing a lot of the broken items and making some changes. Most of the permanent residents feel that the rules do not apply to them. The snowbirds are grouchy and run in cliques. This is not a 55+ park, it is a 70+ park. If you are under 65 you'll be bored here. Also note the local airport is right across the road and its flight path goes right over the park. We stayed here for the winter but we will not stay here again. We camped at Val Vista RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed 3 months here and can't recommend it. Noisy with small planes flying over day and night. Mostly full with permanent park models and they could care less about people staying lesser amount of time. Sites are mostly blindside back-ins, long and narrow, hard to get into. Better take a picture of the electric meter if you are staying long enough to pay for electric. They charge whatever they feel like you should pay for electric. Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

The rate cited is based on the $180 weekly rate, which includes tax and electricity. One of the many geezer parks in Casa Grande. It is way on the north end of town, so it's a couple miles to the nearest supermarket. It is open to travelers only from October through April. It is probably 80% park models and most of the rest of the sites are taken by seasonals. That said, the staff and residents are very friendly to short-term visitors. The roads are paved and wide enough for a big rig to make the turns. Unlike most of these parks, the sites are angled from the road, so getting a big rig into a site is very easy. Sites are large enough that your awning isn't bumping your neighbor's slideout. They are deep enough to easily park your toad or tow vehicle in front of your rig. You could easily park two there, in fact. Wi-Fi was pretty slow (around 300 kbps download speed), but so was Verizon data (around 400 kbps down). Nice library. Pool. The laundry is one of those where you have to buy a card for $2 and any value left on the card when you leave is lost. Worse yet, you can add value to the card only with $5, $10, and $20 bills, so it's difficult *not* to leave wasted money on the card. Fairly poor Verizon 4G data service, but good voice service.

There is an unmanned gate at the only vehicle entrance to the park. You press the poorly labeled "Call" button to raise somebody to open the gate for you. After you check in, you get the code to open the gate. Be sure to ask for the code to the pedestrian gate for the dog walk at the back of the park as well.

We would return to this park. We camped at Val Vista RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a HUGE Fry's supermarket about two miles from the park. Fry's also has just about the best prices in town for gas and diesel, although getting a big rig through that station could be a challenge.

Overall Rating:

My spouse & I stayed here in a 38ft RV in October 2014 with full hookups. They had a beautiful heated pool & indoor jacuzzi within walking distance. Also had a library that was open to guests for reading, making puzzles, or playing on computers. Everyone was extremely friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely return! For 55+, this is a wonderful, quiet, clean and well laid out park approximate half way between Phoenix and Tucson. The campers, residents, hosts, are friendly and it has a plethora of well planned activities, entertainment and dining. We spend our winters in a 5th wheel and have stayed here for the past 5 years for times varying form 1 month to 3. We camped at Val Vista RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.
