Great location, nice pool, pet friendly, small dog park, within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, theater, and medical. Affordable rates, friendly neighbors. Year round RV space availability. - Crossroads mobile home park
Mar 2010 - $20.00
This is an older trailer park with the empty spaces rented to RV's. No amenities at all. Pads are gravel with full hook-ups and concrete patio slabs. Some spots are partially shaded. Some are difficult to get into. Location is excellent: right in the middle of town. Price is the weekly rate. We stayed 2-1/2 weeks. Be advised that the park is sold and will be closing approximately 3/31/2011. EDIT: Park is open as of March 2017. - whizbang
Dec 2007 - $13.00
This is trailer park with RV Spaces. Located at Grant & Swan it is conveniently located in the middle of town. Has a pool and no organized activities, which we appreciate. Rate is $399 a month and includes Electric. It ain't the Ritz, but it works. - bobnjoann

I stayed 2016 winter here. It's a fairly noisy park with nearby roads and dogs in and around park. One dog -pit bull, in park is kept inside a fence around a mobile and kept jumping the fence and attacking other dogs and campers. There is a surcharge for their elec so you pay more than the local rate -17.8c. Parking is insufficient -cars are parked in roadway making it hard to get in/out. I probably will not be back and caution others from. - 2 maybe 3 eagles
Aug 2015 - $30.00
Wi-Fi only works if you stand next to the manager's trailer. Useless through the rest of the park.
A COCKROACH fell ON MY FACE while I was taking a SHOWER!!! That pretty much says it all about this place. No... there's more and worse. There's a coded lock on the door (and a sign) to keep the prostitutes and druggies out of the bathrooms at night, but someone in the park props the door open every night so they come on in anyway. I tried to take a shower at 11, then midnight, then fell asleep and finally took a shower at 3am... the door was still propped open but at least druggies and prostitutes were gone.
Hot shower. That's all I can say. But a COCKROACH on my face. And be careful... in all the nooks and crannies and corners of the shower/laundry house are BROWN RECLUSE SPIDERS. I dropped my toothbrush by the sink and thank God I looked before I stuck my hand between the sink and wall.
It is not an experience I would ever care to repeat in my life. I'm an RVer, a traveler. After the reviews I read on Google, I expected a good experience, not the experience of staying in a seedy motel where prostitutes do their business. - Kayla Genteel

If you are broke and need anyplace HERE YOU GO. I did not actually have any problems here but not brave enough to use bathrooms . Gun shots heard almost every night, police w/ sirens and helicopters over head numerous times, Loud traffic almost 24/7, Worst wifi so far I have encountered even at the 40 dollars a month connection. Manager promises a lot, follows through on little. Paid for a full month so there is a 50 dollar deposit on electric and I used it all somehow ? met a few nice people there but DRUGS and dealers Prostitutes Homeless people everywhere. crappy bathrooms (I got gym membership so I could have a clean place to shower ) may not bother some people but the fact I made it 30 days is A miracle. I don't recommend it and strongly suggest you look elsewhere unless you are looking for that kind of place - tatmanco
Apr 2016 - $33.00
Park for small RVs only with no programs and very tight spaces. Value for money poor. Has no discounts. Clean older park with very friendly staff that is in Hi traffic area. Would not stay here again. - RVLuver
Mar 2014 - $29.00
I stayed here for 2 nights to have my motorhome checked and repaired. The shower rooms were rundown but clean. Manager very friendly and helpful. But there is more to a park then just the manager and shower rooms! The permanent residents there think that they are better than those of us that are just there for a few days. I sat in my lawn chair and watched as the ringleader of the larger group put on a mask of concern while talking to the manager then as she was walking away with most of the group she tells them that "The fat Bitch needs to go". I would have returned to that park just because the manager was so nice but also because she promised to put me as far away from that group but she no longer works there. - Annita

Mar 2015 - $34.00
We were visiting friends came in on a Sunday they were very relaxed about paying and were able to wait until Monday. Our site was very nice and convenient to the pool and club house. But we were NEVER informed that there was a shower room available for RVers. This is a big oversight in my mind, very disappointing to learn two days before we are leaving that showers were available. The shower rooms are very nice upgraded with new tile it sure would have been nice to have the use of them for our whole visit! - DebbieSisters
Oct 2014 - $30.00
Very disappointed. I thought Encore/Equity Lifestyle was a large company. This park has very low standards. Very weedy in common areas and some sites. Multiple RV's on single sites, work trailers and boats in yards, overflowing carports with junk. I like the fact that kids are allowed to live here and my dobermans are OK in this park. Bikers are also prevalent at all hours. Not too many teenagers yet, just a few that live here. The clubhouse leaves much to be desired, with a lack of activities and exercise bikes. The only bright spot is the admin lady, very friendly, but she has to work maintenance all the time. This is a park that I will not stay in again. - jbanner77

Nov 2017 - $16.00
We stayed here for four months the winter of 2017/2018. The manager was very generous, affable, accommodating and diligent about park cleanliness and security. The park is located in a part of town that has some homeless and a lot of traffic. The traffic noise is in your face if you park up by the front of the park, not so bad in the back. The park is just around the corner from Interstate 10 so makes it easy to get around Tucson. There are numerous chain and mom and pop restaurants. The park isn't as ritzy as some of the other parks in the area but my wife and I don't need that. We need everything to work, like bathrooms and sewers, electric, etc. and they did at Whispering Palms. The manager and her husband got to be good friends as well as some of the other people in the park. A friend came to visit us for a month and management made sure their RV was parked right next to us. Can't say enough good about this park. You can look up a good video on you tube about the park made by a pro. - steppin right along
Jul 2016 - $18.00
Gravel full hookup pull-through convenient to the Interstate but a long way from Saguaro National Park. Many long term residents, but plenty of room for travelers. Wi-Fi was good, but the cable was dead at our site. (They had been installing new water lines and may have cut some of the cable connections.) We picked up cable from the vacant site next door. We would stay here again. - Alworth
Mar 2016 - $15.00
We stayed for 2 nights March 28 and 29, 2016 in our teardrop camper during a two month trip across country. Management was very friendly and helpful. Park was very neat and clean. Restrooms were excellent. Some parks we stayed at during the 2 months on the road were poor, but Whispering Palms was great. Would definitely stay there again when in Tuscon. - Jo and John

Mar 2018 - $40.00
Staff favors long term rvers. As do guests. We were crammed into a double site with our mh and friends with a huge 5th wheel toy hauler. Empty sites on both sides but we were told good luck and to figure it out ourselves!. Discussed slides and their response was " Maybe"!. Not very friendly! Sites too crowded for two rigs!. Empty sites on both sides were never filled. - Coates
Mar 2017 - $35.00
This is a park of contrasts, the landscaping at the entrance is very nice, and although the park is literally next to the Interstate Highway retaining wall, the wall is painted and since the roadway is so high, you don't hear any traffic noise. Check in was very pleasant, the office area was nice with a spacious, comfortable lounge. We were escorted to our pull through site which was long and appeared of average width for a campsite. That is when the fun began, we pulled into the site leaving about 4' on the drivers side for the slide outs, we were told, this is two sites, you need to move over so the motorhome wheels were about 12" from the utilities to allow room for another RV which will pull in the opposite direction than we were facing. Our slide outs are both on the drivers side, and when extended were a few inches past the utility box. After awhile, the same gentleman pulled up leading a 5th wheel into the neighboring site. To make a long story short, once our neighbor was guided into just the "right" spot, his slides were deployed on both sides of his rig, without exaggeration, we had about 12" to 14" between our rigs, the neighbor had to maneuver such that his slide was positioned so we could open the door to our motorhome. Fortunately our new neighbor and I have good senses of humor, so at least we did not have any issues with each other. Shortly thereafter a motorhome pulled in on the other side of us, and the slides were also about 12" apart. All the sites in our section were that tight, other areas had a bit more space, but not much. The grounds and restrooms were very clean though, thus the 'good' rating. - Wyn
Nov 2016 - $35.00
Park sits below a huge freeway wall but noise goes mostly over the top. Our site was small and at odd angles with our neighbors. Some traffic noise is apparent but is tolerable. No Wifi, no cable. Sites are level and electric is solid and stable. VERY small patio with picnic table. Access roads within the park are good for large RVs but some sites are quite small. Main advantage of this park is easy off and on from freeway and quick access to all things near Tucson. - cba

Jul 2017 - $25.00
The managers were very helpful. We stayed three nights here and loved it. We even had the help of folks getting out of the park as well. I really did like this park it was close enough to Hwy 10 to give you access to the city but far enough that you didn't hear any of the hwy noises. - CourtneyHawke
Apr 2017 - $10.00
Have stayed before and came back. Park is under new management. It is not the happy friendly place of the past. Most of our friends that return every year had already left because of the unprofessionalism of how the park is now run. Management involves themselves in Loud and profane Public conflict with patrons. They have several noisy dogs that are allowed to disturb residents. We hadn't been into it a week and had a note on our door stating that it is resident responsibility to get rid of the existing weeds. Children are allowed to run freely and unattended through the park and tamper with residents belongings. WiFi was so weak it was unusable. Gravel sites are close together. Facilities rundown and unkempt . The dog area is not picked up or clean and was full of trash. The Receipt of Payment seemed sketchy. It said balance due and had the amount we just paid as still owing. The stay was so disappointing that we left much sooner than we wanted to. We will not stay at tratel again. - PurpleGypsie

Location, location, location are the key reasons to stay at this park. This is an RV oasis in the heart of Tucson. They have taken a large city lot and added all the things you look for in a place to stay with your RV, even a small pool. A combination of wide, but closely spaced pull thru and back in sites, nicely level and well equipped. There is a "club house" that offers a comfortable lounge, table tennis and a small library. The laundromat facilities are also in the club house so you can wait in comfort while doing your laundry. BE AWARE that this park offers Passport America discounts on Monday - Thursday from April to October but it is not obvious on their website. Once they have charged your stay they have no way to reverse those charges and offer the lower PA rate. All in all, a great place to stay, especially if the University or other urban locations are your local destination. - Dunwoodyradio
Mar 2018 - $45.00
If you are looking for a resort, this is not it. However, if you are looking for a convenient location, this is the place. As others have pointed out, this is basically a paved parking lot with a few trees around the periphery. The small park is well maintained and the staff was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. We had a pull through space, which was large enough for our trailer and tow vehicle. The sites are close together, but there was enough room for our slideout. The location is definitely urban, so expect some traffic noise. There was some distant train noise, but not bothersome. The park is no more than 10 minutes drive from downtown Tucson with many restaurants and other amenities. Nothing within easy walking distance, though. The park has a small pool,. which we didn't use. - jwppagosa
Jan 2018 - $40.00
We stayed in a pull through which are small but very adequate. The staff is very friendly and also very helpful. They have a shuttle service if you need one and they also have a game room with pool table, ping pong table, TV lounge, and table and chairs for various activities. Not the best area of town but it is a safe place to stay. There is plenty of walking paths in the area. Great location for site seeing. Would stay here again when in the area. - HenryMech

Mar 2018 - $25.00
Three month stay this yr. camp sites are dirt & gravel with small concrete patios with no tables or shade. Upgraded sites have larger patios with concrete tables & benches & some trees. All sites are tight and close to each other. Limited extra parking. Gated Entrance check in is insufficient. We were there 3 days before office called to tell us we needed to go to clubhouse office to register. Office staff is young, indifferent, not helpful or friendly while mgr is trying to make improvements. Lots of activities & entertainment. About 35-40% are park model sites. Part of park is designated pet friendly while rest is non pet friendly. Monthly newsletter with activities available. Close to many stores & restaurants. Lg laundry room is clean & well equipped. Library with free computer usage, billiards pool, ballroom. Nice clean lg pool & hot tub. Area around wood shop & dumpsters looks messy & unkept. Storage should be behind fence or inside bldg.beside the Tucson Loop walking trail. - Travelbug312
Mar 2018 - $50.00
Needed a place for one night to visit a friend who lived in the area. We were told that they could accommodate us in a pull-through site. Upon arrival, those sites didn't exist. In fact the site we were given couldn't accommodate a 37' motorhome let alone the tow vehicle. A kind neighbor came out and questioned us as to why we were trying to get into that site. She had never seen a big rig fit in there. The office staff were young and not very savvy to the intricacies of parking a motorhome towing. We moved to another site after paying an upgrade fee to get a premium site. Still parked in dirt and gravel and still had to disconnect towed vehicle. This would be a good place for long term stays, but not for one night. - Greenteach

Very tight spaces. 4 inch raised cement patios you must avoid while backing in or the corners will blow a tire on the RV. Narrow roads don't help things either. WIFI non existent unless you are sitting in the office. Monthly electrical expense highly inaccurate; overpriced for what you get. Pool was the only positive. - Bookoo
Nov 2017 - $39.00
Near I-10. Beautiful cacti, clean. New management. majority are year round camps. Not very dog friendly, one accident ant they will immediately kick you out. Dog "run" is tiny. Refused to give me a Good Sam discount, even though it is a Good Sam Park. Check in says they do not ask for discount eligibility at check in. Manager says they do. Both say if you ask for a discount after the fact they will not. Dumpsters are inconvenient. Manager was condescending. Wifi does not work. Cable TV costs extra. - Lumatic
