Absolutely cannot beat the price (Passport America) for this lovely, quiet & beautiful park. We usually only stay three days anywhere, but we extended four more because it is a great park. We bicycled to the quaint town. A few shops, lots of history, good biking along the San Francisco River up into the great hills surrounding the park. Copper mines all around. Good Mexican food and cheap in town. Craft fair/Thursday & Farmers Markets too. Wildlife (big horn sheep and javelina come into park, very early morning or after dark), and lots of birds singing all day. Washers and dryers only $1 each, Showers were clean, and the management nice. We camped at North Clifton RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

We rated this a 9 because of the price (17 or 8.50 PA). 95% of the sites are occupied by workers in the area so call ahead. The main drawback is that if you need to use the women's bath/shower and the person in there has locked the door; you are out of luck and must wait until she unlocks the door even though there are 2 stalls and 2 showers inside. Very quiet and the managers are friendly and helpful. Check out the views of the mine if you go. Also, if you are not driving a large rig, take the Clifton to Silver City route for a great scenic trip. We camped at North Clifton RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

City owned park in a nice, quiet setting by the river. Spaces are shaded and level. The laundry, showers, and bathroom area were clean. The on-site staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Some permanent, run down units probably should be moved to upgrade the park. I would stay here again. We camped at North Clifton RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo

Since the economy has taken a downturn the mines are laying people off, there is plenty of room here.We found lots to do in the area from Morenci Mine Tours, old abandoned mine rock hounding, historic town walks and many interesting drives around the area.We stayed about three weeks and will return. We camped at North Clifton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
Date of Stay: March, 2006 - $8.00
Park is very clean and well maintained. The rec. room had books, a modem hook-up and a pool table. Info. brochures were availabe and the manager, was very helpful with area information. Call ahead to see if there is space available as there are a number of people living there on a month to month basis. The mines have been hiring more people and we were only able to stay 2 nights. We were located next to the park/picnic area and were able to see the javelina rooting around at night under the park lights. If you are continuing on route 191(north) make sure you are under 40' including your tow vehicle as the road has over 400 turns and is very narrow. Excellent park for destination or overnight. Very nice staff, large sites with tables,
some beside a fast moving river. Not all sites have sewer hookup but there is a dump station. We camped at North Clifton RV Park in a Motorhome.
