The park is almost perfect. There are not many places for those who want to stay a few days. A very large number of permanent residents. The park is very quiet and clean. A lot of space for RV.Park does not have its own internet and tv. Verizon is receiving very well. Park manager is very helpful and kind. All park employees are very nice. Park is located in a valley with a river and surrounded by mountains. We are already in this park for the third time and we will gladly come again. We camped at North Clifton RV Park in a Motorhome.

THIS PARK IS A GEM!!! Unlimited stay on Passport America! $9.50/day! Mostly long term residents but they keep their places nice. A lot of the residents work night shift at the Morenci copper mine so it is very quiet. 30 amp service that is one of the three best we have ever experienced in 13 years of RVing!!! Could run the microwave without unplugging the electric heater! The grounds are very clean and well maintained by inmates at the local prison. Good Verizon WiFi and Dish satellite TV. The scenery is beautiful and lots of things to see. We camped at North Clifton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The free Greenlee County Museum is very nice for a small museum. The Morenci copper mine, with 3,000 employees is largest in the northern hemisphere, does not offer tours. Morenci, up the hill from Clifton is a company town. There is a Bashas' market and an Ace Hardware as well as several restaurants. Gas costs less here than in Willcox, AZ.

In 1983 a flood took out much of the town of Clifton including houses where the RV park now sits. Their loss is our gain as this rv park is a Gem!

What a gem of a park. The last reviewer said it all and I want to update the review. We have a 42' Class A. They have added two larger sites at the outside edge of the park. The sites are accessed from the street as opposed to a road in the park. The staff people that we had contact with were very helpful and friendly. The site had only 30 amp power but it was adequate when we were there. We also got a good signal from the park Wi-Fi.

This park was one of the best values we have encountered. We camped at North Clifton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

It may not seem like an attraction, but the nearby pit mining is worth seeing. This is a historic area of Arizona and the old towns are very interesting.

Overall Rating:

Absolutely cannot beat the price (Passport America) for this lovely, quiet & beautiful park. We usually only stay three days anywhere, but we extended four more because it is a great park. We bicycled to the quaint town. A few shops, lots of history, good biking along the San Francisco River up into the great hills surrounding the park. Copper mines all around. Good Mexican food and cheap in town. Craft fair/Thursday & Farmers Markets too. Wildlife (big horn sheep and javelina come into park, very early morning or after dark), and lots of birds singing all day. Washers and dryers only $1 each, Showers were clean, and the management nice. We camped at North Clifton RV Park in a Motorhome.

We rated this a 9 because of the price (17 or 8.50 PA). 95% of the sites are occupied by workers in the area so call ahead. The main drawback is that if you need to use the women's bath/shower and the person in there has locked the door; you are out of luck and must wait until she unlocks the door even though there are 2 stalls and 2 showers inside. Very quiet and the managers are friendly and helpful. Check out the views of the mine if you go. Also, if you are not driving a large rig, take the Clifton to Silver City route for a great scenic trip. We camped at North Clifton RV Park in a Motorhome.

City owned park in a nice, quiet setting by the river. Spaces are shaded and level. The laundry, showers, and bathroom area were clean. The on-site staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Some permanent, run down units probably should be moved to upgrade the park. I would stay here again. We camped at North Clifton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Since the economy has taken a downturn the mines are laying people off, there is plenty of room here.We found lots to do in the area from Morenci Mine Tours, old abandoned mine rock hounding, historic town walks and many interesting drives around the area.We stayed about three weeks and will return. We camped at North Clifton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Park is very clean and well maintained. The rec. room had books, a modem hook-up and a pool table. Info. brochures were availabe and the manager, was very helpful with area information. Call ahead to see if there is space available as there are a number of people living there on a month to month basis. The mines have been hiring more people and we were only able to stay 2 nights. We were located next to the park/picnic area and were able to see the javelina rooting around at night under the park lights. If you are continuing on route 191(north) make sure you are under 40' including your tow vehicle as the road has over 400 turns and is very narrow. We camped at North Clifton RV Park in a Motorhome.
