Because we were there during September, the office was still on limited summer hours so we needed to check in just before leaving the following day. We were only there overnight to get our new motorhome weighed. We think the Escapee Smart Weigh program is something every RV owner should take advantage of. We were in one of the pull through sites at the front of the park. They are long but have a hump in the middle. Still able to get level. We camped at North Ranch - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed in one of the pull-thru sites, which are available for the Escapees Smart Weigh, and have a 3-day limit. These sites were near the office, restroom, & laundry. For stays longer than 3-days, we would have needed to move to a back-in site. These sites were relatively narrow, gravel sites. There was a small slope between the MH and towed car but we were able to level without a problem. Electric limited to 30A. Everyone we talked to seemed friendly and desk staff was helpful. We camped at North Ranch - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Highly recommend the Smart Weigh program. We learned we were not over our weight limit which was a concern since the weight limit on gassers is relatively low. The weighmasters were more than happy to educate regarding safety related to weight. - Great program!

Stayed overnight to get smart weighed. This looks like it might be a really nice park if you were in the permanent section. There was a lot of activity and lots of friendly people. Customer service was excellent, especially from the Smart Weigh guy.

The sites for overnighters were nothing to write home about: kind of close together, a little barren and sort of dilapidated. Still, it was a fine place to spend the night. Lots of o/a tv, wifi in clubhouse only (I didn't try it), Verizon signal was roaming on an external network, but I didn't experience any issues with it. Off the beaten path (i.e., in the middle of nowhere). Easy to get in and out of the park. Site was sloped back to front, and could not level without taking wheels off ground. Great recycling area! We camped at North Ranch - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Motorhome.

Came to the park to get our RV and trailer weighed using their smart weight program. Site was a gravel pull thru with a shade tree and FHU. Dog park was far from the site so we walked her on the paved streets of he residential section. People were not very friendly except for the weight masters who were very friendly and helpful. Recommend the smart weight program. We camped at North Ranch - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Motorhome.

Checkin was ok but they shorted us a day when we asked to arrive a day early then called us on the last day and almost implied we were dead beats over the phone. I had to go back and show them we had actually reserved another day and got no apology at all. Not what I would expect from Escapees. Park was ok. Dated a bit and RV area is really a dirt parking lot. It's a huge park and has full blown houses and RV casitas in year round areas. We walked around and got some free grapefruit, oranges and lemons folks left by the road in "free" boxes, very nice. While certainly not the nicest park we've been in, would stay again if in the area. No wifi on sites, VZW jet pack worked well with 3-4 bars LTE. Water pressure was fine. We camped at North Ranch - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Motorhome.

We arrived late evening and were very appreciative to have a pull-thru site ($4 extra). I called ahead to reserve a site. Office said they added pull-thru sites a few years ago. We have stayed here in years past as we head to Phoenix area. Park is very friendly and accommodating. Park is somewhat remote but Wickenburg is not far away. Electricity is now included in rate. In years past power was an additional charge. We camped at North Ranch - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a clean park with some traffic noise and some distant train noise. There's much less traffic noise at night. Sites are long, wide, unshaded, near-level gravel with utilities at the back. Each site has a picnic table. Voltage is good. Roads are wide asphalt in excellent condition.
WiFi is strong. It's Tengo. I didn't buy service. Verizon LTE works well.
There is one clean, private, non-accessible shower per gender.
Terrestrial broadcast TV: ABC CBS CW FOX NBC PBS.
Staff are friendly and helpful. We camped at North Ranch - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

The RV portion of this park is poorly maintained; the trees are dying from lack of water. Strong septic odors when walking by the end sites. Horrible! The park is not the problem, much potential and could be a lot fuller, heard they mailed notice to anyone with a gold pan on their table last spring not to return this year. So after hearing this we didn't stay as long as we were going to. Could be a great place to winter. Friendly, friendly campers and home owners. Texas Escapee management really needs to get involved with this park. We camped at North Ranch - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is our first time in an Escapee Park and the rate reflects the Escapee Member rate plus and additional $4 for a pull-thru site which seemed over-priced. We chose to come here for the Smart Weigh feature, which was great. We stayed 2 nights and RV area was 'ok'. We had one little tree, all gravel and level but cell phone service was marginal and you had to pay for wi-fi which was sketchy at best. No cable but our satellite dish worked fine. Friday night we heard trains much of the night but Saturday night only heard one. The RV area is fairly close to the road but most of the road noise died down into the night. We enjoyed talking to the full/part-time residents in the housing area of which there were very few this time of year since many come for the winter months. We probably won't stay here again. We camped at North Ranch - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Motorhome.

Right off of the highway so easy access. We were there for the Escapees SmartWeigh. With only 30 amp service this park is severely limited. Everything is gravel, the pull-throughs are long. Probably our least favorite Escapees park. We camped at North Ranch - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We only stayed overnight (March 2016) and this RV park was perfectly good for an overnight stay. The price (for Escapees members) was great and the staff was friendly and helpful. The sites and roads are all gravel (typical for a desert RV Park) but we found the sites to be closer together that we like. A little more space would have made a big difference. Our back-in site was along a row of trees which were very nice, but the branches prevented us from backing our rig up as far as we normally would, so we were sticking out into the road a little bit. We had no AT&T signal but Verizon LTE worked well enough. The park recycles paper, plastic, and cans which was a nice change from most parks we stay at in Arizona. There's a pretty nice fenced dog area (gravel) and a dirt path for walking dogs. We'd gladly do a short-term stay again, but the small sites, 30-amp hookups, and lack of AT&T service would make us think twice before a longer stay. We camped at North Ranch - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Motorhome.

This is an Escapes park, our first experience with this campground and a pleasant one. We will return here in the winter. The Escapes members are welcoming and helpful, so much the opposite at the previous campground we stayed at in nearby Wickenburg. Site sizes are fairly large. The sites are sunny and open. The site surface is gravel and there was a picnic table at our site. We camped at North Ranch - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Congress is in the desert with beautiful mountain views. Open valley driving on great roads and mountain drive to Prescott five or six miles away. Surprise, AZ forty to fifty miles south (suburb of greater Phoenix). Rodeo heaven during the winter months, so that means cowboys/cowgirls on the roads with their trucks and trailers in great numbers. Terrific cowboy museum in Wickenburg.

It's not a luxury park, but I gave it a 10 (excellent). It won't wow you with anything, but everything is as it should be. The workers were all very friendly and helpful. The fellow guests were nice. Someone here complained about the train, I just don't get that. It took me a few days to realize there was a train track in the area, and my hearing is fine.

Many of the snowbirds here are hobbyist gold miners. You might talk one into taking you with them for a day, who knows. There are also quite a few guys with UTVs who go out into the desert, but there is NO racing around inside the park. Everything is peaceful.

The value for the money is very good. We did however get the Escapees member rate. If you are going to stay for a week like we did, joining the Escapees pays for itself and quite a bit more.

It is about 15 minutes from downtown Wickenburg. But it's an easy drive. We would definitely go back, possibly for a longer stay. We camped at North Ranch - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Motorhome.

Price reflects member weekly rate. Park is 30 amp fhu back in only or boon docking sites. Roads are paved and sites are gravel. Nice mountain views and good company. Dog off-leash area is a nice touch. Many privately owned sites with homes/park models or casitas. We chose to stay here to fly out of Phoenix due to the tremendous price difference in weekly rates near to the city. We will return. We camped at North Ranch - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Motorhome.
