Overall Rating:

Park has a mix of tent camping along river, small RV spaces and also larger RV spaces and cabins. My favorite thing was the wood fire ring in our RV spot giving a nice camping feel while still in a powered RV space for daytime A/C. The park will only guarantee 30 amp, but will try to accommodate 50 amp requests if possible (site 18 had 50amp and fit our 30' TT easily). Our site was gravel/dirt for RV with concrete patio pad, table, fire-ring, and grass area but sites varied. Only 1 immediate neighbor on the back side so that made it quiet and once the crowd left on Sunday we practically had the middle of the park to ourselves. May be a little less enjoyable at full capacity. The resort fees for visitors and extra campers are quite high, but we paid the extra $10/pp for my folks to visit us one afternoon - Their reaction was "the photos online don't do it justice as far as shade/camping feel." This is an older facility, but the restrooms and showers were clean and free. WiFi was good and fast near clubhouse/pool... and some RV sites nearby are in range. No AT&T cell but Verizon had 1 bar, and we prefer off-grid anyway. Staff was friendly enough, took us on the golf cart to a few spaces to choose one. The selection of wineries/tasting/restaurants nearby were a pleasant surprise. Now the minor drawbacks: Clubhouse is just a room of old smelly furniture, and DVD area was semi-outdoor and smelled of urine. We didn't see raccoons, but skunks were around in evening so keep your flashlight handy - ignored them or ran in the camper when one had a tail up. Entrance is SCARY with a rig: a right turn and steep downhill when coming from the South. Recommend easier approach from the North/89A direction. The initial park entry is tight but opens up at check-in spot. Roads are dirt and pitted some - drive slow and careful. There is no dedicated off-leash area for dogs. We will definitely stay here again, but may wait till it is a little cooler outdoors. We camped at Lo Lo Mai Springs Outdoor Resort in a Travel Trailer.

'Up The Creek Bistro Wine Bar' just down the road from Lo Lo Mai was FANTASTIC for a nice steak or prime-rib dinner and for wine tasting flights.

I'm torn on this one...beautiful setting but priced too high. Price for additional person in trailer is also $20 per. So for 4 people, the price was almost double the published rate. The park has a terrible access road, with unmarked speed bumps and large potholes. They have everything from tent (no facilities) to full 50 amp hookups. The pull-through sites do not have 50 amp and some sites had only water and electric (no sewer). Most sites have trees, but you should choose site based on whether you want afternoon sun or shade. Our site also backed up to the Lo Lo Mai Spring and the running water was soothing. However, there are very few sites with this amenity. Our site was well-treed, but branches were so close we couldn't put our awnings out full. If pushed, we would stay here again - with only the two of us due to the cost of having the extra people, and that there aren't many RV parks near or in Sedona. We camped at Lo Lo Mai Springs Outdoor Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

If you're here, you probably plan to go to Sedona, and it's one of our favorite places. Also, take time to go to Tuzigoot, Jerome, and Montezuma's Castle. Nice disc golf course in Cottonwood and local wineries to visit. Lots of geocaches everywhere. If you go to Jerome, you MUST go to the Haunted Hamburger for lunch. Unless you're a BIG eater, plan to share a meal - the sandwiches are huge!

This park was built in the 50's and everything about it reflects that. Narrow, bumpy road in with speed bumps that are not marked, small narrow slots very close together. The pull through slots have no sewer so we opted for a back in, the kid from the park that was helping us maneuver around two mature trees didn't help much we still scraped the top of the rig significantly on a branch. The other mature tree had our electric hookup so close that you could only open it about 3 inches, so you had to feel your way around. We were parked right next to the clubhouse and an employee parking space, so every morning 6:15 someone would pull in and slam their car door. The slots were short so everyone had to park their trucks along side the narrow roads theough the park. We camped at Lo Lo Mai Springs Outdoor Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice campground along running creek close to Sedona. Rough road going in. Our site very close to one of the rental cabins. Their fire pit close to our open windows. Was able to get Satellite reception. Wooded area. Others close buy. Not a lot to chose from close to Sedona. Would return. We camped at Lo Lo Mai Springs Outdoor Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here for four nights in the upper portion. We had nice pull through site with a stone fire pit amid the trees. This was a great time to stay because there were less people. The internet was decent except during the late afternoon when everyone is on line. We camped at Lo Lo Mai Springs Outdoor Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We paid a pretty high price for this campground considering that the wifi was terrible and there was no cable. Our site was well shaded but kind of tight in length. Our neighbors we also kind of close, there fire pit was right near the back of our camper. The layout was really funny with tent sites mixed in with rv sites. The road in was terrible, not only because of the speed bumps but road heaves as well. I guess it would have been okay overrall if the price was in thr $40 range. We have stayed at many campgrounds with lower prices that were much nicer and full services. We camped at Lo Lo Mai Springs Outdoor Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The facilities are nice. Showers could use a bit more cleaning. Pool and hot tub were small, but fun. The camping spaces weren't the best as they were uneven, muddy, and oddly shaped and when we arrived there were little pieces of garbage from previous campers You were on top of others at times. Biggest complaint was the staff. I have never been to a "resort" where every time you go to the front store to buy anything or ask a question you are treated as if you are a burden and bothering them. When I called months in advance to reserve, the gentleman on the phone was curt and abrupt. When I called back to confirm he was even more rude. When we were at the establishment, I stood IN FRONT of the office lady, with my money out to pay for something, and she ignored me for five solid minutes while she was on the phone. I was three feet directly in front of her. She should have at least acknowledged that she saw me and would be with me in a moment. At the same time the two other office people (in an open office space) did nothing to attend to me either. When we went to go buy wood the man who usually was there just grunted at you. When inquiring on local attractions or points of interest you were met with "I don't know". There were no smiles, no welcoming attitude. The older lady who works in front was a downright crab with no social ability. It does not take much to present a more hospitable environment. For a "resort" they really don't seem to care AT ALL about customer service. Too bad as we would like to make this one of a regular stops. I think many people share the sentiment considering for Spring Break time they weren't too full. We camped at Lo Lo Mai Springs Outdoor Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Great setting for a campground! We are a family of 4 and stayed for over a week. We enjoyed biking around the grounds, the pool, the creek and the basketball court. Lots of other families around and everyone was nice. There is no cell signal at all here so you would expect them to have decent wifi for their customers and they did not. It would work once in a great while but not what you would expect after paying over $70 a night. We found this to be unacceptable. I highly recommend this campground for an "unplug" weekend but not for any long term stay. After long days of hiking and biking it would of been nice to be able to have wifi. We camped at Lo Lo Mai Springs Outdoor Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

For the price we give it a 4. That being said, our perception is skewed by expectations for a Class A rig. This campground has a lovely setting beside Oak Creek, swimming pool & hot tub. There is a great concrete patio for some full hookup sites but the rig is parked beside it on packed uneven dirt. The road down into the office is steep, narrow with high speed bumps which rock & roll the rig. People are helpful, efficient and friendly. Free videos helps with the no TV issue, we enjoyed them. No cell service for us and most others we spoke to, good luck. Wi fi was sporadic, sometimes nothing for 2 days then it was good. Our secure hotspot was useless. Camp ground is in a gully so we joined other cars out one the Hwy junction to make calls. FaceTime worked when wifi worked. All roads are dirt and potholed so there was dust. Families with children loved this place, it was developed in the 50's and has a real old fashioned campground feeling. Kids filled the pool and swings having a great time! We camped at Lo Lo Mai Springs Outdoor Resort in a Motorhome.

Just to preface my review, when I'm paying $64/night for a campsite, I expect more than when I'm paying under $40. My initial impression when we pulled in was not good, but this campground grows on you. It is more rustic than the name "resort" implies to me. There was nothing resort-like about it. That being said, the natural spring and stream running through the campground is really lovely and unique. On the other side of the campground, there is access to Oak Creek. The bathrooms and showers were clean. Our site had a cement patio next to a gravel/dirt pad. Nice firepits, picnic table and grill. The firewood can be purchased by the wheelbarrow for $8, which is a good price--and the wood burned beautifully. They have a very large DVD library and check out for free--this is good because there is very limited reception and absolutely no cell service (Verizon). The roads were pretty tight and we saw several units struggle to maneuver around the corner, but of course, everyone ultimately gets into their space. Site 16 has truly beautiful views out the windows because we can see/hear the waterfall fed by the springs. My niece and her family stayed in one of the cabins, and it was super cute (but pricey). There are numerous really old, over grown, partly dead trees and the grounds did not look well maintained. Interestingly, there are several skunks and raccoons in the large tree by the office at dusk...kind of fun to watch. My only serious complaint is that they charge $20/day for a guest. I have never experienced such a high charge for a guest, and it influenced my rating. Lots of locals come up on the weekend, but on weekdays, the park seemed very quiet and less crowded....we stayed here one week. We camped at Lo Lo Mai Springs Outdoor Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Follow the campground's directions when driving south from Flagstaff. We inadvertently followed GPS down 89A through Oak Creek Canyon. I definitely would not recommend that route when pulling a trailer. We enjoyed hiking in Sedona, visiting Jerome and having appetizers and drinks at Agave 89 in downtown Sedona.

Stayed here with another couple who brought along their Casita. Very busy office (it was a weekend) and location is extremely popular with families however, they strictly enforce quiet times so no worries there. Lots of shade and we were on a dead end past the spring and pond so did not get a lot of traffic. If you are in the sites near the office (probably best for class A rigs) you will constantly get traffic as that is the turn around for everyone arriving or departing. Hook ups at our site were in the back but there appeared to be variety throughout the sites so ask if you want a specific side to attach utilities. Water, electric and sewer at site all functional. Pool and spa clean and maintained daily. Playground and outdoor sports (horseshoes, basketball) areas as well as a variety of equipment and games available for rent. Very small store with bare necessity supplies is cash only. We spent a day visiting two of the wineries and a fish hatchery in the area. Would definitely return! Stayed here for 5 nights while visiting family in Sedona. This campground is centrally located to area attractions. Great value for a full hookup site. We had site #1 which backed up to the stream. End site with no one on curb side of unit. Television reception is null. if you are looking to spend your time inside your unit watching TV this is not the place for you. Although I thought that going without satellite hookup would be devastating. I found it to be quiet and relaxing. This is too nice of an area not to be outside. The office does lend DVDs at no cost for the evening movie.

I would definitely stay there again if we are in the area. We camped at Lo Lo Mai Springs Outdoor Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
