This is a 55+ park and mainly a winter destination. We actually stayed from the end of Sept 2015 through March 2016. The park wakes up starting in November when people start arriving. There are a plethora of activities, a wonderful sewing room with cutting boards, rulers, etc. pickle ball, lawn bowling, horse shoes, a bike club, cards, knitting, clogging, exercise classes, a restaurant etc. There is also a small post office, laundry, hair salon, nail salon and church on site. The people who live and stay in the park are just wonderful, friendly and helpful. You couldn't find nicer people. The park is gated and has security.

So the problem? Management of the park. The overall managers are terse, rude and have a don't care attitude. They downgrade a wonderful park with their attitudes. The stories abound of people being fired on the spot and even in public for slight or no infractions. The managers lack people skills and rule with an iron hand. We camped at Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are several malls with the typical Target, Kohls, WalMart, Safeway, Frys, movie theaters, etc. near by. El Mirage is basically the outskirts of Phoenix. There is a VA center, Banner Medical, a variety of dentists, doctors and veterinarians, and 7 or more quilt shops all within 10 to 15 miles. Many restaurants from fast food to fine dining. Many people come in March for the baseball training games. Phoenix is about 35 miles away.

This RV Resort is designed for long stays and it is a very nice place. We stayed a week and enjoyed the location and the facilities. Two cautions: 1. The trash pickup is only two days a week-we had to purchase a cheap trash can at Home Depot to hold our trash. 2. They don't tell you at checkin but you have to register in the mail room to receive mail. We received a stern lecture from the mail worker that we hadn't registered. And it is not mentioned in the large stack of resort information materials we received at checkin. We camped at Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Stayed a week during baseball's spring training. Very busy time for the RV parks. This site is billed as a "premier RV Park". I found it to be less than advertized. The grounds and facilities are very clean and landscaped immaculately. The staff is very friendly, but ineffective. The sites were spacious, but dirt. The picnic table was unusable as it encroached on neighboring site. Inacurately, they doubled my bill and was told it was a computer glitch they couldn't fix. It did get fixed at check-in. The site has all the attachments at the rear and shared with adjoining site. Bring extra hoses. The electric box is mounted facing the other direction. Most sites do not have free WIFI or cable. You must pay a fee. If staying longer, you must contact the utility companies directly. I did not feel the park lived up to a premier billing. We camped at Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Surprise, Ariz., and surrounding area is a wonderful town. Heavy traffic, but every food, movie and recreation imaginable. Spring training was a hoot.

As others have stated, this doesn't really fit as a "resort" RV park. It is primarily park models full of snowbirds. The sites are dirt and gravel, most with some type of concrete pad. The utilities all the way at the rear of the sites was probably intended for park models. LONG hoses and power cables are needed. Overall, the facilities are nice and well maintained. One plus I found was a complete wood shop. It has just about every type of woodworking power tool you can imagine with plenty of countertop work space. It's very popular and has some very helpful people supervising it.

A couple of peeves: The twice a week garbage pickup would not be a problem except there is no dumpster for the other days. This seems very short sighted and inconvenient. The jet noise from nearby Luke AFB during our stay was completely over the top. Others have stated that they don't fly at night or on the weekends did not apply during our stay. Last night, at least 3 very loud jets flew over quite low at 1:00 AM. That was the end of sleeping for me. I don't know if they are doing some kind of intense training right now or if it is always this way, but we would not return for this reason alone. It can be ear shattering and seems non-stop at times.

The posted speed limit in the resort is 10 MPH. We must have a different speedometer than most of the other tenants, as they regularly blow past doing 20 to 25. We have seen other resorts using those radar speed displays successfully.

The El Mirage Road in front of the resort is being totally rebuilt, so is a mess. No one mentioned this during my reservation phone call and it was not on their web site. The route we chose off of State Route 60 went thru the worst of the road work and forced us to the curb lane which had overhanging tree branches that added many new scratches along the top of our nearly new motorhome. It is unbelievable that the resort management doesn't get the word out to advise the best routes in and out. We camped at Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

This is a clean 55+ facility with lots of things to do. Unfortunately there is no mention of the ear splitting noise that comes from close proximity to Luke AFB. There is no free wifi or cable. You do not have easy access to any of the freeways either. This place is pretty off the grid, you're at least 30 minutes from anything but a small mall and some restaurants. We were in site 115, and while it offers a clean exit strategy its on an extremely busy corner and there's little privacy. There are concrete pads at most sites, but unfortunately not this one. The only saving grace was the fact that it is conveniently located to the Pickleball courts, and my husband was playing in a tournament here. We camped at Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

This is mainly a 55+ snowbird park, the place is empty of RVs at this time. Lots of mobile homes but even most of them are vacated this time of year. There are 6 pull thrus with free WiFi. Jets are not that bad. Definitely for people wanting activities. Obviously very hot, so would stay again but not in June to Sept. We camped at Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

We spent a month+ at this park. It is a beautiful 55+ park. The landscaping is very nice and kept up well. The golf course is well manicured and wanders all over the park. The pool area is gorgeous. The sites are ample size and most have a concrete patio. I had 2 pet peeves: they have no dumpsters for garbage and only have pick up garbage service twice a week. That was not often enough for me. Even 3 times a week would have been better. Second, for the expensive price they charge, WIFI should have been included. It was not. The cell phone coverage was poor in that area which only made it worse. Everyone complains about the jet noise from Luke AFB. We knew that was going to be there and it was. Some days it was irritating when outside. Most of all it was okay. They do not fly late at night and not on weekends which is nice. I loved all the activities offered at the park, how clean and nice the park was, shopping was close and spring training. We camped at Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed for six weeks and took advantage of the many activities. This park is perfect for active adults. There are groups for hiking, Pickleball, biking, walking, dancing, bunco, card games, billiards, woodworking, etc. The list seems endless. If you want a place to stay for a couple of nights, it is very friendly and clean. But to really appreciate all the amenities a longer stay works best. We will be returning in winter 2016 for three months. As for the jets, it is all what you get used to. I think we had to pause conversations about once a week. We camped at Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

It is clean and the facilities are impressive, but that's all I can say positive about this place. No cable. No wifi unless you pay an ADDITIONAL $15 per week. For $315 to stay a week WITH Passport America, this is just a rip-off dressed up as a gated community & golf course. We camped at Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

As I am writing this the noise from the F-17's flying overhead (time-8:00pm) is so loud that I have to wait until they pass to speak to my husband. El Mirage is located directly under the flight path of Luke Air Force base. While I do enjoy the sounds of freedom I don't like paying $54 base rate/night plus 12.27 tax to listen to it. The air base practices maneuvers Mon-Fri - 8:00am - 8:00pm. It is deafening. They do not warn you about this when you register. The park is nice, very large. Great pool, spa, fitness and laundry area. Combination of manufactured homes and RV park sites. You are not close to very many amenities or any sightseeing in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. Maximum speed limit on the roads is 35 MPH. Look out for the speed screens! No cable, Wi-Fi or table included with rate. Back ins only, no pull-throughs. Not close to interstate roads either. Lots of surface street driving. There is a golf course here but you will be deaf by the time you finish. We camped at Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice park with many amenities and under different circumstances, we would definitely give a higher rating. However, we are in the landing/takeoff pattern for Luke Air Force Base, and there are literally hundreds of F-16 Jets based here. The following information comes from the Luke AFB Website: "The millionth F-16 Fighting Falcon flying training hour at Luke Air Force Base was reached March 13. F-16s first touched down at Luke AFB on Dec. 6, 1982. To date, Luke has graduated 18,164 F-16 fighter pilots. Approximately 2,000 F-16 hours are flown a month by Luke pilots and students." We believe that virtually every flight out of Luke goes directly overhead of this RV park, and the noise is deafening and incessant. We would definitely NOT stay here again, as these jets fly night and day, and with no discernible pattern. Our nerves just simply would not and could not stand it. We camped at Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

This place looked great with a 24 hour manned security gate, however they would not let us camp because our trailer was 1 foot too short of the 26 foot minimum that we didn't know about.....really? Too snooty for our taste....good luck We camped at Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Rate is based on 3 month stay. The park is very nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. We had issues with the people staying in the park models that insisted on parking in the middle of the road while they visit and not let you pass. Also the F-16's jets would fly overhead. They were so loud you had to stop a conversation and let them pass before you could continue to talk. We would not recommend this park for the two reasons listed We camped at Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

We stayed here several nights. The park is well kept, clean and neat. Nice pool, jaccuzi and workout room. Wi-fi was good, and cable was provided. Satellite reception was also good. We had a premium site, back in. Site widths were good, approximately 40 feet. Site was gravel parking with a concrete pad for your patio. We also had a table and bench seats. There was a place in the table for an umbrella, but none were provided. Really need that for shade. Power and water pedestals were on the opposite side of the coach. Sewer was ok. They combined Power/water sources for two sites into one location. You will need long hoses and cords if you get one of these sites. No trash recepticals. They collect trash twice a week. You must keep it on site until pick up days. Not convenient. You are also in the flight path of F-16 and F-35 jets from Luke Air Force Base. You get all the noise from full throttle take offs, Monday through Friday. Usually starts around 7:30 am and can go until 9:00 pm at night. The weekend was quiet. You can also get some traffic noise from El Mirage Blvd. Suggest you try to get a site further away from the road. We camped at Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

This was our 3rd visit to this resort. The resort is on the edge of agricultural land and traffic to the resort is light once you leave the 101 loop on the west edge of Phoenix. Access to the resort is easy and internal roads easily accomodate big rigs. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. You must be guided to your site and they are all back-in but wide enough for modern and large RV's. Most of the hookups require longer hoses and cables to reach the RV connections. Each site has a gravel base with a cement pad to place chairs on. The premium sites have cement benches and picnic table as well(additional fee). We stayed for a month and our monthly rate of a premium site included WiFi at our site and extensive cable channels but also higher fees. The regular sites do not include cable and internet and thus require arrangements with local carriers. At this time of year the resort is just starting to receive snow birds and thus activities, of which there are many, were just kicking off for the winter season. We have found the winter activities to be very appealing and everyone in the park is very friendly and regularly encourage others to join in no matter the experience level. The gym, pool, pickle ball courts are all very nice. Although popular we had no trouble finding them available and accessable during our visit. Another benefit to this park is the very close proximity of the NHL arena and NFL stadium for pro-sports. Tickets were relatively cheap and easy to come by. We really this park however there is one downside. The Luke AFB situated a few miles to the west of this resort is a jet fighter training centre and frequently during the day F18's fly over the resort resulting in some significant noise levels at times. If an individual is disturbed by these such noise levels(some evening flights occur) they should be forewarned. We camped at Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.
