Pretty pricey at 60.00 a night. Interior roads narrow and not helped by vehicles and campers that overhang their site. Lots of trees which is both a good and bad thing. Section I was in the sites were very unlevel, would expect better at 60 a night. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Stopped here en route from Kingman to Moab to visit Montezuma's Castle and Well. Had no problem negotiating the park's road system. We had a end site that gave us a little bit more room. Found the park to be well laid out and clean. Was a good place for an overnight or extended stay in the Flagstaff area. Would stay here again. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the worst resorts we ever stayed. The nightly rate is between $ 60.00 and $ 75.00 per night and that for a resort that doesn't even offer a pool. The resort is convenient located but is so badly maintained it is a shame. Grass is over ankle high, the sites are not level and uneven. The backhoe is working the whole day, producing lots of noise and dust, so no peace at all. There's no pet policy, so people set up pet kennels outside their RV and have four or five dogs barking all day. What fun. When you go to the office and try to talk to the management there's never a manager around. He's always somewhere else and the front desk staff just smiles and say "we're sorry" but nothing is happening. This is a total joke and a waste of money, a complete rip off. If you can avoid this place, there are nicer resorts around for sure that offer for less money even a better value for your money. Also the roads are too narrow and in a very bad shape, it is hard to maneuver a big rig in order to get in or out a site. To get to this resort is hard since the signage on the interstate/highway/city road is not sufficient. There's no good visible sign in order to turn into the resort in a timely matter, so many people have to make a dangerous U-turn in order to get into the resort. The sign "turn here for the KOA" is after the turn-off. Don't know who thought about that, but that person did not invent the black powder. The only positive about this resort is that the wifi is excellent. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Motorhome.

Read previous reviews about tight roadways. These are accurate. However, this was our first time hauling our 42 foot fifth wheel and we were able to navigate safely through. Only hiccup was needing to back and re angle slightly to make the left turn onto the street leading to our space. We stayed at a pull through and had plenty of space length-wise. Width is a different issue. We were about 11 feet from our neighbors on either side. We had no place to put their picnic table were it would be flat. Needed to use numerous blocks under the jacks to achieve level. They do keep the place clean and garbage is emptied out a few times a day. They seem to have put more thought into the tent spaces than the RV spaces in my opinion. Also, they had a water main issue so Day 2, no water. They did issue refunds for everyone who asked though. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites are easy in and out, park is adjacent to national forest and excellent hiking trails. Do Fat Mans Loop, great views. Only drawback at the park is the traffic noise. Enjoyed our stay! We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Very convenient off of I-40 just for a one night stay. The park driveway was narrow and difficult to traverse with my trailer. Someone just before me had sustained damage while trying to scrape past a tree on a turn to get into a site. The sites are gravel and uneven, clearly designed more for a family camp out than traveling RV's. Difficult to enter space and to tie in. I was disappointed to pay so much and to have such poor quality. The staff was excellent and eager to please, very young. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Very tight for a big rig. Sites are close together, and there are many large rocks throughout the park which hinder turning coaches. We had to back out of our site to avoid a rock in at the front of our site because there wasn't enough room to pull far enough forward to avoid it. Picnic table was leveled with large stones under the legs. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Motorhome.

Reservation email said I have a pull through in the back of the park. Arrived and was told they are all full. Assigned a pull through right by the entrance and road. Couldn't get level without significant blocking up wheels. Not a happy camper. Asked to be moved to a level site and was told all are taken. It is now 10:00 PM. Noone in the site I asked to be moved to. Not coming back. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Motorhome.

Definitely not the best KOA I have ever stayed in. Site was graveled with loose sand, up hill, tilting "a lot" to the left. Never had problems pulling 36' 5th wheel into a parking place before. Kept burying the right 2 back truck tires, had to use a shovel and long boards to get all the way in. We travel past here 2X a year, will not stay again. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

In the past, I have read reviews how a particular park was "tight". When I arrived at those parks, I would think, "This isn't that tight." Then I arrived at Flagstaff KOA. Believe me! This park is "tight" and has virtually no maneuvering room for any rig with a total length more than 28'! There are pine trees and large granite boulders near the interior roads and lining every campsite. This is obviously a very old KOA built when even large RVs were probably not more than 25' in length. The space around the sites (and around the boulders) could use a trimmer to knock down the foot high foxtail weeds. The laundry is comprised of old, worn washers and dryers with several "Out of Service". Spaces in the back are on an incline. The hydraulic levelers had to lift the downhill tires off the ground for level. Note: Each electric box has a Main 50 amp pair of breakers in addition to the 30 amp breaker and 50 amp breaker pair. You must turn the Main on for power plus your chosen amperage breaker. The sad fact is that this KOA is probably the best campground on the east side of Flagstaff. I might stay here again, but would make all attempts not to even stay one night. It is definitely not worth the KOA discount price of $45/night! We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here one night because of high winds on I-40 further west. Interior roads are paved, but narrow and tight turns. Site was grave and fairly level. Women's bathroom near us was being renovated, so it was closed. Men's bathroom was clean, but didn't use the showers. Wi-Fi was available, but we have our own hotspot. TV was over-air and we got good reception for Phoenix stations and PBS. Cable TV is available, but only in certain sites. Didn't use the laundry, so can't comment in facility. We stopped here on short notice and they had plenty of space available. It's close in to Flagstaff, so there's close shopping for groceries. We'd consider it for an extended stay again in Flagstaff. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Motorhome.

We wanted a base camp for exploring the flagstaff \ Grand Canyon area. Stopped here because it had the only available sites in the area. I'll keep driving next time. Sites are gravel and dirt. Our site was not even close to being level. We had a large tree in our site that prevented us from deploying our awnings. WiFi was ok, and we could get 31 ota TV stations. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is older and needs updating. Piles of junk, old phone booths, old golf carts. Noticed electrical wiring going into office/bathhouse that looked like the house on Green Acres TV show! Difficult to get into site. Sites are close together, unlevel and muddy. Congested traffic at check in. Bathroom/shower was outdated but clean and surprisingly warm and not drafty! Best water pressure of any campground we've ever stayed in. I would not stay here again. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Travel Trailer.
