Typical KOA, close quarters and gravel sites. Our set was pretty unleveled. Also typical, great and friendly staff. Nice dog park, great cable TV and WiFi. They have a little food trailer (Kamp Kitchen) with some great breakfast. We had a nice patio, but way too much furniture on it. Didn’t plan to use anyway however. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Motorhome.

As a curmudgeon, at first there were many things I didn't like. Perhaps being in a KOA "Holiday" over the last weekend before school started was part of it. The sites were narrow and many were far from level. Ours was more level than others but still our right rear wheel was off the ground. The park was near full and there were lots of families with young kids that hung around all day. In the evening campfires everywhere came to life, forcing us to close all windows and vents. After I met the friendly campfire family next door, however, I started to mellow out and appreciate some good things about the park. The ponderosa pine forest throughout was beautiful. The too-narrow roads became just the right size not to dominate the forest. People enjoying themselves became contagious. There were neat trails to walk the dog. The wifi was so fast that we streamed Netflix (no rule against it) and the Verizon service was good. We asked for FHU and got FHU. We would return and maybe spring for a $93 deluxe site with patio, furniture, and gas grill. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Motorhome.

Older, typical KOA park that needs a lot of TLC and updating. Roads can be tight, spaces barely long enough and not really 'big rig friendly'. Water spigots are dual-site use so it may not be on the correct side. Our site was fairly level, but noticed some that would have been terrible. OK for a one-nighter, but might be looking elsewhere if we came back through. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Staff was friendly and as helpful as they could be. We were directed to a site that was too small for our rig and didn't have full hookups. We went back to the office twice to try and find a site that would work. We were finally given a full hookup site but had to pay more $$ even though that is what we requested when we made reservations. Roads were very narrow and our site was not level. There were two small bushes and no trees. The worst part was the fox tails, weeds and trash. We couldn't let our dog out except on the carpet we put out because of the fox tails. Fox tails can be deadly to dogs. I picked up a whole bag of trash at our site alone. Fellow travelers were friendly and for the most part kept the noise down even though we were crammed in next to each other. This was our first KOA experience. Other campers we spoke to who had visited other KOAs said this was one of the worst they had stayed at. We saw trash and fox tails everywhere we walked. We won't be staying there again. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Check in was easy and we were directed to "just drive and you will find your site" by three KOA employees behind the counter. The KOA site says it is BIG RIG FRIENDLY, but the road is extremely tight and sites were very close together. Our site was very unlevel and our back left wheels were completely off the ground by about 4 inches. Our pooches loved the Kamp K9! We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Motorhome.

Spent 1 night in our 5th wheel. Sites fairly level, gravel, very narrow, picnic table area about a 30 degree slope. Very narrow roads in general, hard to get around. Nice dog park. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We were very disappointed. Right away, there was no designated parking spot to register, so we winged it. Registration was simple enough since we had reservations, and we were then escorted down a very narrow road to our tiny, tiny space. From there we were on our own and it took all my skill (I am a seasoned camper) to get into that space. Then we discovered that there was no sewer connection in that area of the park! Luckily, our tanks were empty, but that meant taking short showers. Two others tried to get into the space next to us but gave up and left. Those on the other side were able to get in but they too were never told there was no sewer connection. When we left. we had to back out (it was supposed to be a pull-through) because close trees and large rocks would have damaged our new unit. This is by far the worst KOA I've ever used and we will not stay there again. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Not up to KOA standards. Would be a decent park at $35 vice $70. Spaces are tight, gravel and dirt with little grass, close to each other and not very level. Road through the park are narrow. Laundry was clean but restrooms and showers could have used some work. Friendly helpful staff. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

As we were only staying three nights, we selected a water/electric pull-thru at reservation time. Our site (#80) was certainly long enough, but very narrow and unlevel (4.5 inches of blocks and we were still nose-low). I can see how it would be a pull-thru for smaller rigs, but we definitely had to back out, as the 90-degree orientation of the sites to the narrow roads coupled with encroaching trees wouldn't allow the turn. All the interior roads in this older section were very narrow. We watched several medium-sized travel trailers struggle to get into and out of sites near us; some gave up and one crunched his rig on the site number pole. We weren't able to get DirecTV but there were a couple of OTA stations. Park Wi-Fi was slow (essentially unusable) but Verizon 4g was acceptable. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Motorhome.

Pretty wooded sites. Access roads around park are narrow single lane. Sites are gravel rather narrow and not particularly level. We were unable to completely level our unit but it was fine. There is a great trail head on the back side of property that connects to a very nice trail system. Fat Man loop was a nice 2.4 mile loop through beautiful pine trees. This was a great location for a day trip to the south rim of Grand Canyon. We took hwy 89 north to 64 east and entered the park from east entrance. Lots of great lookouts as we made our way west to the main visitor center. We would stay again but would request one of their wider sights. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Motorhome.

Trail network behind KOA is very good. Climbed to the fire lookout plus the Fatman loop. Also checked out the observatory. Not sure it's worth the entry fee, but ours was covered with science center pass.

A convenient location for downtown Flagstaff and day trips to Sedona or the Grand Canyon. Probably looks better when all the trees are in-leaf, but to us it looked scruffy. Roads are tight and our site was far from level, but not unusable. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We paid extra to get an end site with a patio. This was a good decision as the other sites looked to be very narrow. Leveling was a bit difficult. This is an older campground under new ownership. Their brochure says that they will be upgrading, etc. We might stay here again, but would also check out other campgrounds in the area. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Not a great site: very narrow, not level and difficult to enter/exit (after setting up a lynx level pyramid on one side we were able to get things mostly level). We were able to pull in/out but had to watch carefully as we turned. There were also tree branches overhanging the site and some touched the roof/slide when the wind blowed. Expected more from this rather large KOA. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
