Spent 1 night in our 5th wheel. Sites fairly level, gravel, very narrow, picnic table area about a 30 degree slope. Very narrow roads in general, hard to get around. Nice dog park. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We were very disappointed. Right away, there was no designated parking spot to register, so we winged it. Registration was simple enough since we had reservations, and we were then escorted down a very narrow road to our tiny, tiny space. From there we were on our own and it took all my skill (I am a seasoned camper) to get into that space. Then we discovered that there was no sewer connection in that area of the park! Luckily, our tanks were empty, but that meant taking short showers. Two others tried to get into the space next to us but gave up and left. Those on the other side were able to get in but they too were never told there was no sewer connection. When we left. we had to back out (it was supposed to be a pull-through) because close trees and large rocks would have damaged our new unit. This is by far the worst KOA I've ever used and we will not stay there again. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Not up to KOA standards. Would be a decent park at $35 vice $70. Spaces are tight, gravel and dirt with little grass, close to each other and not very level. Road through the park are narrow. Laundry was clean but restrooms and showers could have used some work. Friendly helpful staff. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Pretty wooded sites. Access roads around park are narrow single lane. Sites are gravel rather narrow and not particularly level. We were unable to completely level our unit but it was fine. There is a great trail head on the back side of property that connects to a very nice trail system. Fat Man loop was a nice 2.4 mile loop through beautiful pine trees. This was a great location for a day trip to the south rim of Grand Canyon. We took hwy 89 north to 64 east and entered the park from east entrance. Lots of great lookouts as we made our way west to the main visitor center. We would stay again but would request one of their wider sights. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Trail network behind KOA is very good. Climbed to the fire lookout plus the Fatman loop. Also checked out the observatory. Not sure it's worth the entry fee, but ours was covered with science center pass.

A convenient location for downtown Flagstaff and day trips to Sedona or the Grand Canyon. Probably looks better when all the trees are in-leaf, but to us it looked scruffy. Roads are tight and our site was far from level, but not unusable. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We paid extra to get an end site with a patio. This was a good decision as the other sites looked to be very narrow. Leveling was a bit difficult. This is an older campground under new ownership. Their brochure says that they will be upgrading, etc. We might stay here again, but would also check out other campgrounds in the area. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Not a great site: very narrow, not level and difficult to enter/exit (after setting up a lynx level pyramid on one side we were able to get things mostly level). We were able to pull in/out but had to watch carefully as we turned. There were also tree branches overhanging the site and some touched the roof/slide when the wind blowed. Expected more from this rather large KOA. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

I asked for a space away from the road (Hwy 89), with trees and a view if possible. We were way in the back with trees, very quiet, and backed up to a large open field. Perfect for us! Other spots were not as ideal, too close together, no view. The comments about difficulty leveling are right on, be prepared! Office staff was young, and are seriously the only KOA people who have ever satisfied my site requests. A National Forest trail had a spur right next to our spot; wish we'd had more time. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Flagstaff is a fun town with many good dog friendly places to eat and drink. Cute downtown area. The Grand Canyon is driving distance for a day trip with time for walking on the Rim Trail, checking out visitor centers and museums, and having a picnic or even lunch at the El Tovar. Sedona is also close by...if you're a cycling and/or coffee enthusiast, drop in at the Bike and Bean for advice on local rides and a great cup.

The customer service was so good here, that I would love to find something about the rest of the park to like, but I just can't. The sites are very tight and wildly unlevel. I only have a 30 foot motorhome, no tow, and it was tricky just navigating through the park, let alone trying to get into the site. They advertise cable, but it is an extra charge. The park is old but fairly well maintained. Its a great location, if a little noisy from the traffic. I wouldn't come back here, just because the parking and navigating through were so difficult, but for smaller rigs, it might be a nice place to park. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Motorhome.

Park can use a lot of TLC. Sites are not level, our motorhome was completely off the ground on one side when we auto leveled it. Bathrooms were locked in the morning so we couldn't use them. Park is staffed by very young adults who were pleasant, however when we moved sites and tried to call the office to advise them it took several attempts to get an answer and we couldnt leave a voice message since the box was full. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Motorhome.

We found the service personnel to be friendly and efficient and the park is quiet; it is however way overpriced for what is provided. Most spots are not level and are tight for larger units. The biggest surprise was the "shared power pole" concept, something we've never seen before. We found our site, but the site behind ours had already plugged into both the 30 amp and the 20 amp outlets, so we had to move to another site (ask about this before booking, they expect one unit to use the 30 amp outlet, the later arrival gets the 20 amp)! We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall this is a nice place but management decided to turn off the water without telling people (guess what can happen to a RV's water heater without water in it). When I went to the office they said they had posted flyers around the buildings stating that this would happen. 1) I should not need to go to the buildings to get this information and 2) the flyers only stated that the laundry room will be closed not that the water will be turned off. This place has new ownership as of last year and I just hope they get the bugs worked out as this is a gorgeous place for a RV park but not one I will be staying at again.Watch out for all the boulders that are around the sites. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
