Been coming here for seven years and have always loved the RV Park. We are considered transient, 1 to 2 weeks at a time. Park has changed significantly over the years where the desirability of staying here is less and less. Specifically, more long term RVers who take up most of the quality spots, more people living out of an RV and working, and generally the minimal facilities (bathrooms, showers, clubhouse, and pool) to support a large number of occupants in the park. In addition the very heated pool use to be a main attraction for us. Sadly, the pool is so cold you have to get out to get warm, not get in to refresh and enjoy. It is apparent that the bread and butter for the RV Park is long term residents which is understandable. For transients like ourselves where the amenities are lacking, the pool is small and cold, little space between RVs that only provide minimal if at all views of desert landscape, it's just not the same. Kudos though to the office staff. They are friendly and great to work with but they obviously are not the decision makers for park amenities. That belongs to Tribal leaders. We camped at Eagle View RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This been one of the best parks we have stayed in. All sites are back-in. The only negatives comments we would make would be the same as a few of the other reviewers. Showers are just that, showers only, no mirrors, sink, etc. Poor design. There is very little shade throughout the park, some but not much. Do your research, use Google Earth and the parks nice map to reserve a spot. If its available they will work with you. WiFi was very good for us, we stayed in site 120. I think they provide the best service they can. They do offer "wired" internet and some sites, ask before reserving. You may need to bring your own router. There are a lot of rules for this park and Security is very high. The resort is on Indian land so the rules are strict. The Verde River is not visible from any of the sites. Doesn't really matter though since there is a rule for that and it is you cannot touch it. Look but don't touch. Driving beyond the Resort to the south is not a good idea either. No trespassing signs abound and from what we hear they are very strict about this. Be respectful. Pool area is very nice but shallow, max 4 feet. It is a short pool too, laps would be difficult. Garbage is picked up at your site every day of the week, this was very nice. There are no tables at the sites and no campfires are allowed. The office/lodge was nicely kept and they offer a nice library of books and DVDs to use. The pastries were yummy. Nice place, very quiet, good dog park. The only negative is the Wifi. Another park that does not put enough into having a good wifi. People need it these days. I could rarely get on and when we left, we were told that the best wifi in there in the office, year, that is where I want to go every time I need to get on. I have stayed here twice, both long stays of multiple months. I am a full-timer and a full time student. This park is the nicest on this side of the valley (phoenix metro). It is a nice clean park, allows pets, nice ammeneties has showers both handicap accessible and non accessible, laundry room with up to date machines, pool, basketball and tennis courts, work-out room, daily doughnuts and coffee in the morning. Very private. People are friendly enough not a lot of live ins mostly people who stay for a few weeks and some overnighters. This park provides 24 hour security and has a storage lot next door if you need to store your rv while not in use. I would recommend it, as it is out of the city with lots of area to hike/bike/walk the dog etc. We camped at Eagle View RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The nearby town of Fountain Hills is beautifull. Within 20 mins of Mesa and Scottsdale and or the metro freeway system. The park is located just off the highway with easy access to Payson. The Fort McDowell Casino is just across the highway and offers entertainment for the adults.

It is easy to get in, out and around in the park. All roads paved. Sites are asphalt and pretty level. Utilities work well. Wifi is very good. The pool and hot tub are great. Nice fitness center. My only complaint about the park is the smell of sewer pretty much everywhere as I go for a walk. We camped at Eagle View RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Go into Fountain Hills and walk around Fountain Lake. At the RV park, you can go across the road (through the RV storage area) and up an old dirt road for a walk in the desert.

The word "Resort" should be changed to "Parking Lot". We attended a Heartland Local Chapter Rally here. All sites are asphalt back ins with gravel between the parking spots. There are no picnic tables anywhere - not even in the Bar B Que area. No trees. No store in the office although the showers and laundry is very clean. A Chevron station near the park entrance that has your quick needs at premium prices.
It is very clean mainly because the RV Resort is fairly new. The location is a short distance from Fountain Hills with the only thing close by being a Casino.
We visited a few tourist sights in the area and also noted several other RV Parks that were pretty rough looking.
All in all it was an OK stay. We camped at Eagle View RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We had stayed here before and thought the park had beautiful scenery and the sites were accommodating. The problems we saw this time were it was so loud and rowdy by the pool, big party people with foul mouths. They also are getting a little rundown with loud bikers all over. The showers are not as clean. They now allow junk kept by various sites it is not as neat as before. The pool is not heated, was cold. Wifi may be free but does not work. Continental breakfast: a stale donut and coffee. We were sad to see it getting deteriorated. We were excited until we got there. Rates go up and park down, used to be our favorite. Stayed here in a 42 foot 5th wheel for a month on site 106. This is a very nice RV Park and everyone was wonderful. The park is kept very clean with trash picked up from site on a daily basis. The views surrounding the park are beautiful and you are close to Fountain Hills, AZ, a very nice town with all services you need. Having coffee/juices/donuts daily along with a newspaper and excellent WiFi made this a very enjoyable park. The only improvements we could see would be to have a picnic table on site and more social opportunities. We camped at Eagle View RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Fountain Hills is 5 miles away and has the country's tallest shooting fountain and a beautiful park. Mesa, Scottsdale, Glendale and Phoenix are all in easy striking distance and have great shopping and entertainment opportunities. The holiday time frame was a great opportunity to enjoy all the decorations and lights. Great RV Park we highly recommend.

Excellent winter campground if you prefer quiet and scenic over lots of activities. Asphalt sites are level and roomy, but lack landscaping. Roads are wide and well maintained. Good hookups, though water pressure can be low at times. Helpful staff and nice clubhouse/gym with free juice and breakfast pastries. Clean pool and hot tub. Great views of the mountains. A roadrunner likes to hang around and walked up to within a few feet of me. If you're up late you sometimes hear coyotes, otherwise the only noise is an occasional plane or what sounds like a rifle range in the distance. Good Verizon and AT&T. Cable, electric, and taxes are included in the Oct-Dec special. A few miles from town and 15 miles to Scottsdale/Mesa. We camped at Eagle View RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Fantastic park, excellent location. Swimming pool was a clean comfortable oasis. Spots on the back and side back up to green area. River is not visible. We traveled to Scottsdale for Spring Training and found it very easy to get there in around 15 to 20 minutes. Would return here again. Excellent WiFi in the lobby and free hard wired computer with printer. We camped at Eagle View RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Except for the intense summer heat, we very much enjoyed staying at Eagle View RV Resort. Entry into the park was quite easy with ample parking space for check-in. The one-person office staff was very friendly and helpful in pointing out the RV resort's amenities--pool, spa, computer room, continental breakfast, and exercise room. Our camp spot was along the fenced river border. Because of the time of year (late June) the whole RV park area was eerily quiet with only about 25 RVs in the 150 space facility. Our only "visitor" was a roadrunner wandering aimlessly. All spaces are back-in, but the amount of room to do so makes the task very easy. The distance between campsites is about 25 feet. The friendly, professional security force patrols frequently during the evening hours. Outside Eagle's Nest, a short drive can lead to many interesting recreational activities--Phoenix, Fountain Hills, the Goldfield ghost town, and the touristy Tortilla Flat. In the spring months, reservations are very hard to obtain and must be obtained months in advance. We camped at Eagle View RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

When I made my reservation to stay at Fort McDowell RV park I was told that I could have a river front site. Sure, my site backs up to a river, but I can't see it or hear it. I was also informed that I could fish on the river. After reading the instructions for the campground, I learned that there is no fishing in the river as it is on Indian reservation grounds. The term "pet friendly", I would have to use very loosely here. Yes, there is fenced area, but it is peppered with sand burs and goat-heads. The park is very clean, quiet and patrolled by friendly security. The 50 amp sites that are along "the river" are the most private, although the entire campground is just a large, asphalt parking lot. The public restrooms, pool, recreation area and gym are all well cared for. The staff was friendly and helpful with knowledge of the surrounding area and casino. The park fills up quickly in the winter time for prime sites, but during our mid November stay, there were many openings available in the 30 amp section. We stayed here for a few nights. We camped at Eagle View RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is our second year and we have booked already for 2013. We like this park. If you like large paved spaces with gravel in between, quiet, friendly mostly transient RVers, nice clubhouse and large enough pool, great desert views, you will like this place. They recently closed off river access from the park but the views are still there. A great dog walk is in the desert off the RV storage area. Close enough to Fountain Hills and Scottsdale for all amenities and there is a shuttle to the casino that is minutes away. Downtown Phoenix is a bit further. Security does regular drive troughs and garbage pick up is every day at your site. One wish would be to have more recycling. We camped at Eagle View RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We were kind of "so-so" about this park, especially given the somewhat pricey nightly rate. It basically is a cement parking lot, which was neat and clean. There is daily garbage pick-up and a heated pool. But the place lacks interest: no trees, no cacti, no desert vegetation within the park itself, etc. There is some mountain view, but nothing like what you get at McDowell Regional Park a few miles away. The staff was efficient, although not overly helpful or friendly. There is only one small restroom to serve 150 sites, which was inadequate. We camped at Eagle View RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
