Small campground behind the Shell Tuck stop. Great for an overnight with the Passport America rate of $12.00. We had a pull through site and we were able to keep out tow car attached. Full hookups worked fine. No showers but ultra clean restrooms at the truck stop. The campground fills up fast in season with people traveling through Arizona. There were 8 rigs dry camping next to the campground when we left early in the morning. Good place to dry camp as very few trucks seemed to be stopping here so the noise was minimal. We will stay here again in our Big Rig motorhome. We camped at Holt's Shell RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small, first come/first served RV park tucked behind the Shell station. Despite the fact that it is a busy truck stop, no glamour, it is very quiet in the RV park.. We were just needing a place for the night and happened upon this. Full hookups and everything works. On gravel, not just desert dirt. Propane available. Laundry is good. There is free WiFi, but it's iffy out here in the RV area. We could get no TV reception. Cell service is good. If you are just needing a dump station, they have a free one here. $23.99 a night, but with Passport America we paid $11.99. If you are looking for Mexican yard art and such, there is plenty of it in the gift shop. And, for those who like to get weighed once in a while, there are scales to see just how overloaded we can get an RV. GPS 32.93143, -112.67275 We camped at Holt's Shell RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stopped here but didn't stay. Old truck out back says "$19 a day". Went inside and the guy says it's $40 a day - that's an old sign. Absolutely NO ONE staying in the park. All gravel, run down. We left and went to a park down the street. We camped at Holt's Shell RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is an Emergency stop over only. The park is all gravel. The hookups were okay but there was no cable, no tv signal and wifi would not stay connected. There was truck noise all night. We camped at Holt's Shell RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great quiet park! Spots were large and easy to pull in and out of. Full hookups was awesome. We only stayed one night as it was just a stopping point on our way home. Would definitely stay again! We camped at Holt's Shell RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

No frills, but exactly what we needed for an overnight stop. Large, level spaces behind Shell station. Would stay again without hesitation. Unless it was the middle of the summer. We camped at Holt's Shell RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a no-frills kinda parking lot, with good hook ups and some amenities. There is a subway within close walking distance, and a little store. It is actually a well stocked little store! Friendly staff to check in. I have a dog and he wasn't too keen about the walking areas; all gravel and it was really hot, but for the price and a quick stop over, it is very adequate. Well kept and clean. We camped at Holt's Shell RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

LOVE this place! Convenient location on I-8 and surprisingly quiet with only minor truck noises (engine idling) which died off to almost nothing by midnight. At only $11.99 (+ tax) per night for full hookups using Passport America or Escapees membership, this is a real bargain. We originally were going to stay one night but decided to stay longer once we realized how nice a place this is. We found everything clean and well maintained.

All sites are covered with gravel and are level. Some sites have shade trees. Most sites are long pull-throughs with ample room to extend an awning. The single unisex bathroom available in the RV park area was clean. More clean bathrooms and pay showers are available at the gas station / truck stop where you check in.

Speaking of checking in: My suggestion is to park your rig alongside the truck scales located on the north side of the gas station (don't block anything) ,then go inside the gas station to register. If you pull into the RV park before you register, there's a risk you may unknowingly take a site already assigned to someone who's in the gas station registering too.

During our stay, there were maybe 8 to 10 long-term residents and their sites were kept clean and tidy. We noticed a few RV's dry camping (for free) outside the RV park area. A free dump station (with potable water) is available between the gas station and RV park.

Note that if you're considering a longer term stay here, the nearest grocery shopping and Walmart is some 41 miles to the north in Buckeye, AZ.

During our stay here the water pressure was 40psi and no-load voltage was 123. Both AT&T and Verizon had strong, moderately fast LTE signals. We'll definitely make this place a regular stop. We camped at Holt's Shell RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This park is a great overnight stay park. It is a little noisy due to the big rigs driving by, has no cable tv but the wifi worked well and we felt comfortable and safe. This park was cash only. We camped at Holt's Shell RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was a good stop to break up the trip between Tucson and Yuma. The site was level and traveled. You are located pretty close to your neighbor and they do have a few long term guests. We did see a pretty sunset. The store has some basics, but since it is the middle of the desert the prices are higher. We might stop again. We camped at Holt's Shell RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This park provides a great stay for overnight or longer stay travelers at a remarkably low price. Be sure to check in at the convenience store before entering the park; there's plenty of room to park while registering. Easy access to the park from I-8, long, level pull-thru sites, and full hookups with a laundry and desert dog-walking area. Some noise at night from the truck stop, but otherwise quiet and dark at night. WiFi at the store; unusable in the park. Good Verizon cell and data, and no obstructions to a satellite. Get here early and call ahead to check if there are spaces available, this park fills up quickly. We camped at Holt's Shell RV Park in a Motorhome.

We love this place. It's great for an overnighter or for a few days. For us as fulltimers, it's a chance to avail full hookups, 50amps and fresh water. The pull-thru gravel lots are easy to negotiate and plenty wide. Although there is WiFi, we couldn't log on, maybe because the campground was busy.

The nearby store is great for gift shopping and basic supplies. The staff is friendly and efficient. Propane and diesel fuel is all right there. We've been here several times and have had a consistently good experience. We camped at Holt's Shell RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Our intent was to spend one night and stayed for two. We were also pulling a tow vehicle and did not have to disconnect.

We arrived from the East going to California. Our site was easy to pull in and pull out when left. The Interstate also was easy to get back onto. Everything was clean and level at the site and we did not use any other facilities.

The park was really interesting in the way it was located just enough off of the Interstate. They has all the services that we needed. We stayed another day because we wanted to walk up and down the desert trails by the Gila Bend River, (no water).

They also have lots of dry camping outside the park with a free dump and water. If you need propane they have it also.

Reading the other reviews I agree this is a great stop when traveling. .

We would definitely stop here again in the future. We camped at Holt's Shell RV Park in a Motorhome.
