26 Parks near Golden Valley, Arizona
Nov 2015 - $21.00
This is advertised as a Pets Welcome park but there is no pet walks, no pet walking is allowed within park. Pets must taken outside the fence on the sidewalk area near a busy street. No WiFi at sites unless you are willing to pay extra. Aside from the usual hookup on left (water, power, sewer), there is a power station on right. There are many social events almost nightly and the people are very friendly. - Ruffin It
Apr 2015 - $24.00
Nice place for over night, wouldn't stay longer. Neat and clean laundry, showers and restroom. To use WiFi you have to be in the office, then you get charged extra. This means no WiFi to us. There is no cable TV. - 1yrfulltime
Apr 2014 - $7.00
The rate reflects the monthly cost without WiFi, which is provided by an independent for an additional $39.00 per month. Verizon card worked fine and the independent service was excellent. The park is very clean and well run. There is a small rec room with a pool table and a few activities but not much beyond that. Restrooms and laundry were very clean. The park's interior roads are all paved which is a huge plus as it cuts down on dust. Sites are gravel and level. Golden Valley does not have much to offer but since you are only 10 miles from Kingman and 20 miles from Bullhead City, AZ and Laughlin, NV there is plenty in the way of shopping, restaurants and entertainment. I would have given the park a higher rating if it had a bit more in the way of amenities but for the price you can't beat it for a night or a month. - longgone
Apr 2016 - $18.00
All gravel, overnight pull-thrus were level, utilities were convenient and worked well. No cable but we got a good selection of over-the-air stations. Park is clean, laid out well, lots of cool old tractors and other antique equipment scattered about; staff on the phone and in the office are awesome-very friendly. Large clubhouse with tables, couches, TV. Walk thru the clubhouse and then into the laundry room (plenty of washers & dryers by the way) to get to one women's and one men's room, each with toilet/sink/shower and always very clean. Unfortunately the entire clubhouse/laundry/restrooms were only open 8am to 9pm which isn't as convenient for early risers. Close to the River (Bullhead City & Laughlin) to the west and Kingman in the east. Nice park for an overnight stop or longer. - lets move
Aug 2014 - $16.00
Great park for a stay over. The hosts are awesome and very attentive! Clean and well laid out! - DayTripper2015
Aug 2014 - $5.00
We completed our first week of a one or two month stay. 50 amp power is excellent. The free Wi-Fi works great most of the time, and at times when there is a disruption, it is for a brief period of time. AT&T signal is 3-4 bars, and data/voice connection is excellent. This park is typical in a desert setting. The roads and sites are well packed gravel, which results in very little dust, even when cars are passing, which is surprising. The managers are outstanding and accommodating. They do an excellent job in maintaining this park. There are a variety of RVs, but none in bad condition, and sites are well maintained. This is just a nice park with great 360 degree views of the mountains. The rate is based on a summer special monthly rate of $150. This will definitely be our go to park when in this part of Arizona. If we didn't like to travel, we would stay the winter. The location has everything we need and more. It is relaxing and peaceful. This park can accommodate any size RV. - RV Conus
May 2013 - $27.00
Personnel very friendly and helpful. Lots of road noise as park is by interstate. Dusty as on dirt. Full hookups with long pull through sites. Does have WiFi but it was slow. Good for overnight. Need to know where you are going or could turn onto frontal road instead of second road into the park. We would probably stay again. - Jerryws98516
Jul 2012 - $35.00
Great little park; really nice managers; clean and right off the main highway 93, just an hour and a half from Las Vegas. - redwoodoxie
Feb 2012 - $13.00
We traveled a few extra miles on our way to Vegas to get our "Good Sam" discount, and were so glad we did. A lovely site with beautiful surroundings, very quiet and some great trails around the camp. A really helpful and friendly manager despite us turning up after closing. The facilities are excellent with a great lounge area full of games, books, and films. There has been a lot of work put into making this a welcoming site and we would have stayed much longer if we had the time - I would definitely return. One of our best stops in our 2 month travels. - clariceb
Oct 2016 - $33.00
Convenient to the interstate but noise was not too bad. Plenty of room between sites but they are not angled, so some loss of privacy. Park is on somewhat of a grade so some leveling is required but not enough to necessitate unhitching from tow vehicle. All utilities functioned well. Small trees between sites. The dog park is so small as to be practically useless. Lots of long term residents, but sites are neat and well kept. This was perfectly fine for our overnight requirements, but I probably wouldn't want to stay here for an extended period. - Katy29
Aug 2016 - $33.00
This is a small, well maintained RV park. It has gravel sites, which is to be expected in this part of the country, but it is very neat. There is a little noise from I-40 but not bad. It's a good location to the tourist spots in town, as well to I-40. They have a small pool which was appreciated since it was so hot and also a small off leash dog area, which my dog liked. The sites were quite wide, which was nice since so many parks just cram you in. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Utilities were good and the site was level. Verizon cell and air card were good. We were here a couple nights and enjoyed our stay. We would stay again. - Danni
Aug 2016 - $33.00
Nice enough park. Convenient to I-40 and historic Kingman. Does seem to be quite a few long-term residents, but still clean and quiet. Some noise from I-40, but not bad.
Check-in was a hassle, as it would not accept any credit card ("no dial tone"), so had to pay cash. Wi-Fi was very weak, slow and intermittent. Very frustrating.
Dog "park" is small and totally gravel and without a trash can, although dumpster was not too far. - vwbluestar
Sep 2013 - $35.00
Park was ok. Manager was nice. Came in late - left early, but seemed like an ok place to stay. - Lazy Bear
Sep 2011 - $25.00
Basically a mobile home park that allows overnighters. Busy street next to park. Park is a little long in the tooth including the showers, but they are free and they work. $2 charge for Wi-Fi. - Thedogsma
Jun 2011 - $25.00
I found this campground through the Kingman Visitor Bureau. No website. Called to make reservations (none taken). OK for overnight stay, but dusty, lots of permanent residents, and close to busy street. Has a nice-looking pool, but found out (too late after a hot drive) that it closes at 6:00 PM! Price was OK and close to where we wanted to be and near a big shopping area, but would probably not stay there again. Address: 2360 Airway Avenue Kingman, AZ 86409 - looker
Sep 2016 - $54.00
This park is located a couple miles off I-40 in a semi developed residential area so it's very quiet. It's an older park but well maintained. Our pull thru was a typical, narrow KOA site that was built before RV's had slide outs. Each site has hedges and trees that add privacy but make a narrow site even narrower. The power pedestal is located in the front and the water, sewer connection is towards the back. I had to jockey around a bit to find the "sweet spot" where I could reach the power, sewer and not hit my slide outs on trees. All the utilities worked fine. Each site built in charcoal BBQ but in my case it's location is within a few feet of my neighbor's slide out.
The biggest issue I have with this park is it's way over priced. We are on a 30 day, 9 state tour of western states (not inc. CA). All of our stays have been at private RV parks and this is the second highest price we've paid. At the hightest priced park, also our favorite, we paid only a few dollars more than here and it's at a whole different level than this park. It's also adjacent to a national park.
If ever again in Kingman, I'll stay elsewhere. - Recycled
Aug 2016 - $60.00
Nice enough park. A little overpriced, we thought. Site was level and facilities worked fine. Pool and hot tub are as good as anywhere. There were more activities that may justify the cost but we didn't use them. I'd probably look elsewhere due to the cost next time we stay in Kingman. - ChrisE
Jun 2016 - $41.00
Very basic campground, would definitely stay here again...but it was hotter than...well HOT. (I measured 156 degree ground temps.) Nice basic KOA campground and we were tired so it worked fine, as long as our AC did. That would have sucked. - 7 on the road
Sep 2014 - $12.00
Rate based on monthly stay. You put a deposit down and there in very, very small print that if you are leaving you have to give 10 days notice to get deposit back. It was a wash because it was hot & we ran the AC a lot. OK place to stay and they give lots of discounts to various memberships. - PugetSound
Mar 2014 - $29.00
Nice place. Nice office greeter. Minimal train noise compared to other RV sites in Kingman. We will be back. - zzzya
Mar 2013 - $29.00
After climbing the 6 % grade west of Kingman take exit 51 or 53 off I-40 to four lane Airway Ave., which leads to easy in and out for a big rig at Zuni. The park is in a commercial area convenient to most franchise, grocery, drug, or fuel stores that anyone could want. Registration is friendly and easy. Landscape is appropriate to the high desert. Pine trees, well trimmed, are between sites. Sites are wide, and there is good space between sites. There are permanents here in their own area. The pool was empty, we assume, because of the time of year. The roads are paved. The sites are near level graded from the packed sand desert soil. Cable TV had a maximum of channels. Wi-Fi was strong with no problem. The bathrooms, showers, and washers are at the main office on Airway Ave. The clean bathrooms have a code lock on the door. We like this park, but we give this park a 7 compared to the 10's where we have stayed. We have stayed here several times, and we will stay here again. - feral cat
Jul 2016 - $18.00
Stayed overnight here in a 40 foot 5th wheel. The rate of 18.00is the Passport America rate. Interior roads are concrete. Sites are graveled and level. Convenient to I-40 and local restaurants. Staff was friendly and park was clean. We would stay here again. - richdoreen
Mar 2016 - $33.00
Just an update from our Sept 2015 visit:
Latest rate is $33 with Good Sam. We only stayed one night as we were passing through Kingman on our way to Las Vegas.
WiFi worked GREAT!
This park is home to many permanent residents and has only eight pull-thru sites. If you are interested in an overnight (or two) I HIGHLY RECOMMEND reservations.
All in all a good experience. - CO2RV
Sep 2015 - $18.00
Very clean park. Grounds well maintained except for tree clearances. Park has numerous pine trees that can make backing into a space very tight. Tree limbs are not trimmed to allow for clearance, especially closer to tree trunk. If you stay here, be sure to check that you can get your rig into the spot beforehand. Otherwise, a nice place. - Deck & Margot
May 2016 - $15.00
Very friendly owner who showed us the way to a non-hookup space. Nice shared fire pit area with nice fence and some trees.
Real western feeling with all the hand-made signs at the park and the restrooms. Lot spacing was nearby with sunny/open exposures. Site surface was gravel, featuring a fire ring and picnic table. - Leo22
Feb 2013 - $11.00
Friendly owner; rate is for week or more. Daily rate is $20. Older rest rooms/showers, but clean and in good condition. Short term campers are pretty crowded. 5 miles off US 93, 20 miles from Kingman. Chloride has 2 restaurants (1 with WiFi), groceries, post office, and several antique shops in walking distance. Chloride has interesting history and worth a visit. - marsingbob
Jul 2016 - $16.00
Rate reflects $10 in Coast to Coast points plus $3 for 50 amp and $3 for "Resort Fee" per day. Also, they advertise "Wi-Fi" but don't mention that it is provided by some mysterious third party and requires a daily credit card charge. I don't like giving my card # to unknown parties, so we passed on this "feature".
We had a huge gravel back-in site with full hookups and a view through our rear window out across the Colorado River to the lights of Laughlin. Our only complaint was the oppressive heat, which we cannot blame on management. - Alworth
Feb 2016 - $1.00
Stayed here for a week on our coast-to-coast membership. Can't say enough good things about this campground. The location to restaurants, casinos and shopping was perfect. Our campsite was very large, plenty of room to set at our fifth wheel and room to park our F2 50. Campground has paved roads with gravel sites and cement patio at each location. Their laundry facility was a very clean and all machines were working. Never had to wait to get the laundry done. The view at nighttime of the casinos in Laughlin Nevada is very pretty. Will stay here again next time through this area. - Dedra C
Jan 2016 - $17.00
This is an update of my review of 3 years ago. This park manager really understands the meaning of customer service. I was unable to make an online Coast to Coast reservation because of a "Special Event." I called the park to inquire about availability & was told to come on in because sites were available. We were even able to use Trip Points. All sites are level, gravel covered back-in with a concrete patio. The power pedestal is located at the rear of the site, so be sure your power cord will reach a few feet behind your unit. Water & sewer are located on the street side. Cable tv has 16 channels, but no ESPN or sports channels. We did not use the wifi. A water refill station is located beside the office. You can refill 1 gallon containers for 25 cents per gallon. Good laundry facility. Nice clubhouse & pool. Pick up a calendar for a list of the many activities in the clubhouse. All campers are invited to attend these activities. Rate listed is Coast to Coast plus resort fee & 50 amp charge. We will definitely return when in the area. - c lewis
