This is our third winter season here. More trees than the newer RV parks in the area. Nice size park with planned activities. Convenient to shopping and restaurants. Older park but improvements are made every year. We love it here! We camped at Destiny RV Resort / Phoenix West in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park, well appointed, lots of seasonals, book ahead, far enough away from HWY 10, jets overhead during the day, within 5 miles of all shops, would definitely return. We camped at Destiny RV Resort / Phoenix West in a Travel Trailer.

What a wonderful surprise this campground turned out to be. The staff - all of them are great. This is a great campground for extended stays. Love the security! They are located right off interstate which makes it perfect to be home base. So much to do nearby. Zoo, shopping, restaurants. The sites are close like most campgrounds. Parking your tow can be challenging but not impossible. We had a picnic table and a BBQ. Loved waking up to the birds chirping and the planes going by. At night it's quiet. They have citrus trees you can pick from in between sites. Nearby a zoo, restaurant and outlet shopping. It's an up an coming area. We camped at Destiny RV Resort / Phoenix West in a Motorhome.

Very nice and large park. Sites were plenty big enough. There were quite a few sites that were seasonal and had some residents that have been there awhile, however, there were no "trashy"rigs. The park has lots of mature orange trees that provide shade. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay there again if in the area. We camped at Destiny RV Resort / Phoenix West in a Motorhome.

As we walked in the woman at the desk chose that moment to pick up a piece of mail and write on it, ignoring us. After a few moments of standing there she acknowledged us. She seemed bored and tired. I questioned the total amount charged, to which she said, "Taxes." So once we were settled, I sat down and did the math. We had been over-charged $40. I went back to the office to discuss this. She admitted she'd charged us an extra night; she had counted our departure date, though we had clearly stated "3 nights." She called her manager over and there was some unhappy discussion between them. He never spoke to me, never said, "Sorry," nothing. She then refunded the amount and was gracious about it; but there also was never an apology from her. Later we found we could not access the pool; went to the office and were given a key (no word about that on check-in). So, management issues overall! That said, this is quite a nice park. Level, concrete sites with picnic tables and patio. The roads in the park are tight, but the sites are spacious enough, and there are orange trees with fruit that can be picked. The pool is very nice. The park is quiet and peaceful...except for the jets from the nearby air force base! During the day, that intermittent noise really gets annoying. This is a gated park, so appreciate that extra security. At night the globe lights are not overly bright, appreciate that as well. We camped at Destiny RV Resort / Phoenix West in a Motorhome.

Nice well maintained park. A lot of amenities. Spaces were not close together. All concrete pads. The pool and other amenities closed too early at 8. Would like to see them stay open longer. Pet areas were all gravel and far apart. Need more grass pet areas to walk the dogs. Security gate access was a nice plus. Air Force base next door. A lot of noise when jets depart. I'd stay here again. We camped at Destiny RV Resort / Phoenix West in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Had a week long stay here at the end of March 2018. Had to extend my stay due to RV mechanical issues. The office was nice about letting us extend our stay. You can tell they try to keep this park clean, the pool and showers were nice and clean. Issues: Dismal water pressure, about 40 PSI at the bib, sewer connection is odd and every time I tried to empty it would overflow. I learned quickly to just open my valve half way to avoid this. Dog area is for small dogs, not very spacious and there is nowhere else close to go if you have a big dog. Also, the streets in the RV park are very narrow, so some careful driving is required if you're in a big rig. Also, this park is full of snowbirds this time of year. All in all, I don't think I'd stay at this park again as I'm sure there are nicer parks around for the money. Oh, one other thing, the office here has no list of RV repair places, so you're on your own if you need that. Thought I'd mention it as I thought that was odd. My site was level and in good repair, I had an end site which offered me more space but I was charged for this "premium" site. We camped at Destiny RV Resort / Phoenix West in a Motorhome.

Spent a month here; large campground with lots of snowbirds. A bit far out from Phoenix, but quiet and easy access. Fruit trees at each site, able to pick what you want throughout the park! We camped at Destiny RV Resort / Phoenix West in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Beautiful entrance to the park! Easy to check in and the receptionist was really friendly and nice. We pulled into our site then realized it wasn't the correct site....they fixed it so we didn't have to move. Electric box needs the 50 amp plug updates as it's plastic receptacle is broken. It worked but the power is hovering on the 110-114 volt line. Sewer is at the back of the site on pull through so we didn't hook up for 1 night. There are 2 water spigots and one leaks profusely so I used the other one. The sites are narrow asphalt and roads are narrow! There are trees at most all sites for shade. Some are citrus and when ripe you may help yourself. The shaded dog run was really overbearing with urine odor, my dog would not go inside! They may want to use lime to keep it slightly more sanitary if possible. Probably will not return to this park. We camped at Destiny RV Resort / Phoenix West in a Motorhome.

After several calls to delay our arrival, each with very positive responses, we found the office staff inattentive to arriving guests. Some of the turns getting to our site were a bit tight. Sites are all concrete parking pads, with a nice patio and table. Good satellite and Verizon. Having a local friend join us for dinner, we found it quite annoying when their security guy came by and quite rudely said the car couldn't be parked in the adjacent site (despite MANY empty sites around us, and it was after 8 p.m.). Upon departing the next day, the exit gate was blocked off necessitating a drive all around the park to the entry gate. They could have informed us at check-in. This park really could do better at customer service, especially in the off-season. We'll probably return only because of the proximity to friends. We camped at Destiny RV Resort / Phoenix West in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice resort with new managers. Pool area is one of the nicest. Easy in and out with a security gate. One issue is upon registration I was required to sign a document stating that I would not participate in various crimes. Drugs, prostitution, etc. We were only staying three nights and found this really odd. What has happened to require this document? Lot's of snowbirds and numerous permanents.....but all of the sites were clean and it appears that the overnighter's are seperated from the perm's. We camped at Destiny RV Resort / Phoenix West in a Motorhome.

We loved the citrus trees throughout with fruit available to all. We stayed here twice. It was very clean, well maintained, and well arranged with many pullthroughs. It was relatively quite. The day we arrived we were invited to happy hour at the pool. There seemed to be social gatherings for those interested. We camped at Destiny RV Resort / Phoenix West in a Motorhome.
