Full hookups including cable TV in a national park and just $36? This is rare. It's not the most beautiful rv park, but the spaces aren't too close. Our site wasn't level, in fact it was inclined and leaned 2 inches to the left, but we just got out the blocks. I wish they would dump the cable TV and improve the cell service. I don't watch TV, but I do like to be in contact with the house sitter! Cell service was very spotty everywhere we went. Text messages worked better than voice calls. Forget data unless you have a booster and a lot of patience. Yet, the campground is very close to the rim of the canyon, within walking distance of the visitor center and a very good (though expensive) market. The shuttle bus service is good, but very crowded during the peak season. I would happily stay in this campground again. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Get away from the blue line shuttle stops. The rim walk on the outer edges (red and orange shuttle) is much quieter and the views are just as good as in the center of the park. We saw deer and a snake during our walks. It was great. Bring a bike. Lots of biking opportunities.

Park is operated by a concessionaire to the NPS. They do a good job of keeping it clean and well maintained. Stayed in a pull thru with 50amp service, water & sewer. Sites are reasonably spaced considering you are in the Grand Canyon park. Shuttle buses arrive at park every 30 minutes and take you anywhere you wish. Market, post office and bank is within walking distance. Our only issue is with parents who allow their little ones to ride bicycles back and forth in front of others site. There are bike paths- Let them go ride somewhere. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Check out the rim trail at the Shrine of the Ages. Least crowded and very beautiful

The best reason to stay at Trailer Village is that it is an hour closer to the Grand Canyon than anything in Williams. It is basically a large open area with sites for RVs. No other real amenities. The sites are reasonably far apart, very level and long enough for any unit. There is no Wi-Fi and no store at the campground, though there are plenty of stores in the park. We did have an elk cow that spent a day dozing under a nearby tree. Something you don't get very often. The only time we used our truck was to go to the market to get groceries. The rest of the time we used the free shuttle buses. Like most National Parks, pets are not allowed on the shuttle buses or in any of the buildings. You can take your pet in most of the paved trails. Cell phone coverage is very spotty, but you shouldn't be using your phone anyway. Put it down and look around. We would definitely stay here again and make our reservation earlier. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Get your reservation early, in January.

Paved, immaculate. Can park your rig and walk to free buses to the park. Beautiful setting with yearling Elk eating throughout the park. One of the best parks we have stayed in. Spent 4 days there and left too soon. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Buses go to all part of parks and run every 15 minutes. Great hiking or bike riding as cars are limited to certain areas of park. Park could be dangerous to young children or ignorant adults., especially at the canyon rim. Beautiful park and great NPS staff.

Prices in town such as gas was 25% higher at the only station in town, case of water was 17.99 (normally 3.99) Buy gas before that town.

We stayed at Grand Canyon Village for a week in May. We first came to the grand canyon in 1995 when we rode the train from Williams. We didn't get to see much of the canyon but, this trip we saw all of the south rim thanks to camping at the Travel Village. We made our reservations on line which I am not a fan of but, this time it came off without a hitch. The greeter at the gate was friendly and helpful. We were able to find our spot with no problem. The space was perfect for my 40 ft. rig. The hookups were in working order and in the right location. There was a table but, unfortunately there are no campfires in the full hook up area. Strangely there are campfires in the tent area and on the last day there was a forest fire from those camps.. go figure, they have no water on site to put the campfires out unlike the full hook ups. There is plenty of room between camping spots. The location is close to a market and post office. Eating out for dinner is not easy. The only ones are at the Village a distance away and not that good of food. You can however drive into town where there are plenty of restaurants. There is no wifi but, our Verizon hot spot worked for us. There are spots for RV's where trees do not interfere with your satellite. The location of the camp ground is close to the south rim of the canyon. You can walk, drive or take the free shuttles from the campground. You can walk all of the south rim or take a shuttle to each point of view. You can also walk down to the canyon floor or ride a mule. This is a nice park. The only con is that some people don't know park etiquette and walk through your camp instead of following the roads. I take into consideration that this park gets people from all over the world and a lot of them rent rv's. We will be back again with family and friends. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Go see the free movie about the Grand Canyon at the visitors center before you explore the canyon. It will give you a whole different appreciation of where you're at. Hike Mather Point to Hermits Rest to see every awesome view possible. There are free shuttle buses along the way if you get tired. Check the canyon out at dawn, noon and sundown to get the best out of your trip.

We were very happy with this park. It is uncommon to find a National Park with full hook-up. The site are gravel and level but not long enough to keep your toad hooked-up. There is sufficient room between sites for you not to feel too cramped. No outside wood fires are allowed in the park. They have a grill at each site and an employee comes around each morning and removes the ashes. Trailer Village where we stayed has restrooms but no showers. For a shower or laundry you must go to the Mather campground which is maybe a 10 minute walk. There is a fee for the shower. The staff we spoke with while checking in and for other questions were extremely pleasant add helpful. We recommend Trailer Village to anyone thinking about going to the Grand Canyon. Book early! The campground was full. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The park has a fantastic shuttle service. A shuttle comes into Trailer Village and takes you around Grand Canyon Village. There are places on this route that you can pick up other shuttles to take you to various places along the canyon. The shuttles normally run about 15 minutes apart but when it gets busy they add more buses so the wait time decreases. There are paved trails throughout the park and you only need to find a bus stop if you get tired. There are elk roaming around the park and even in the campground.

This RV park is more than satisfactory for visiting Grand Canyon. This is the one that has full hookups including cable TV. Sites are spaced fairly close, but we have seen a lot worse. There is a picnic table and some room between sites. The park has a few trees. We would definitely come here again to see Grand Canyon. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

This RV park is run by a concessioner, not the NPS. Built up a hill, nearly everybody had levellers in use.

There is no shower in this park. You can walk/drive over to the NPS Mather CG 1/2 mile away for that.

WiFi is pokey, at least from the top of the park.

Restrooms are really kept nice and clean.

Digital cable, about 50 channels, was also really good.

So, it's in the National Park, a short walk or shuttle bus ride to Mather Point.

No showers, pokey WiFi, 6. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

The sites are a little closer than I would prefer and leveling is a must in most of them. However, there are so few campgrounds in the National Park system that provides full hookups, it was nice to have them here. AT&t cell service is poor to non-existent but the proximity to the various canyon overlooks is easy by either the shuttle, your toad or your pickup. I would stay here again. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Park is nice. No fancy amenities, but that is not needed at the Grand Canyon! We were there 3 nights. Easy to get around and trials to take hikes with the dogs. Would definitely stay again, and definitely recommend. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Fifth Wheel.

Very convenient to shuttle and tourist areas. Sites are narrow, some have decent space between them and others don't. Our space was small and not level. Although they knew we had a big rig we were assigned a space which was extremely narrow and was constricted on both sides by concrete curbs. If our neighbor hadn't run out to help we would have busted a rim on the 6" right side curb. Anyone with a similar problem (big fifth wheel with long tow vehicle), make sure you don't get site #64. Many of the other sites would be fine. Registration and check-out were awful, mainly due to their "upgraded" dinosaur of a computer system, but also due to one employee who shouldn't be in that job. The other two employees were great. We will probably never return to the area so will not have to grit our teeth and stay here again. The only thing that really makes it worthwhile is the convenience of being in the park. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Fifth Wheel.

You are not too far from the rim. They have a shuttle bus to get to far the view points. It is a short walk to the stop. If you want showers they are at Mather campground (coin operated). For Wi-Fi you have to go to the cafe by the market. The sites are paved and fairly level. Picnic table and BBQ. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Dec 1 to Feb 28 you can drive to Hermits Rest. The rest of the year you need to take the shuttle.

We really enjoyed this campground. It is nice and convenient to be inside the NP, and be able to ride the bus shuttle to different areas of the park. There is a nice market within walking distance of the campground. We were greeted by elk the day we pulled in and got set up. The sites are long and level, Verizon signal is decent, we were able to use our satellite, but there was also cable available. We will definitely return to this campground.....highly recommend! Very nice RV park, with long, fairly level, pull-through sites. Very convenient to the shuttle bus and the Market Plaza - the ideal RV location in the National Park. Full hookups. No WiFi, no TV. No AT&T cellphone coverage. While Verizon coverage is strong in the historic Village, it is feeble in the RV park. My little MiFi hotspot displayed 1X or 3G, but it was running at dialup speeds. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here four nights while visiting the Grand Canyon. All sites are pull-through and fairly level. Fair amount of space between sites with a grill and picnic table. Our site did not have a cable TV hook up; with an antenna, we were able to get one station. Phone service was spotty throughout the entire Grand Canyon park. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this park. It is nothing fancy but it is so convenient to everything the Grand Canyon NP has to offer. Just a short walk to the shuttle service and paved walking paths. Mule deer and a single bull elk wandered through the park eating acorns. Lots of services within the park to take advantage of. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Travel Trailer.
