While the most obvious draw for Trailer Village is the location (you can walk to the Grand Canyon Visitor Center and South Rim), it's actually a pretty nice campground too. The campground is huge: row after row of pull-through sites, and there was very high turnover. We'd walk our dog in the early afternoon and see the "Campground Full" sign and wonder at the many dozens of empty sites, but by late evening they were all full again, usually with Cruise America, El Monte, or Road Bear rentals. The sites are average in size... don't expect much privacy, but enough space to not feel cramped. Our site was extremely unlevel, and even with all our wood blocks and leveling jacks we could not get level (a first for us) and had to settle for a slightly crooked stay. We saw many other RVs in a similar predicament, though plenty of other sites looked fairly level. Our Verizon hotspot worked pretty well in LTE, and AT&T worked pretty well at 3G. The park shuttle stops at the campground, there's a decent park-run grocery store adjacent to the campground, and lots of trails and paths for dog walking. We saw elk and mule deer in and around the campground almost daily. We paid $36 but a few days after we arrived we saw they changed the sign to read $44. Too bad, $36 was a pretty great rate in our opinion, for full hookups inside a major National Park. If and when we return to Grand Canyon we'll definitely be staying here again. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Second stay at this location. Asphalt pull-through 50 amp full hookup sites. None are perfectly level and it takes some maneuvering to get a big rig level. Cable at site and Wi-Fi available free at the hotel and grocery store. Bus stops at entry for easy park access. New concessionaire, "Delaware North", got this campground. Looks as if they are raising prices, but still a nice place to stay INSIDE the National Park. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Get a reservation a year in advance to stay at Phantom Ranch at the bottom, then hike in down South Kaibab Trail and back up Bright Angel Trail. We did it staying only 1 night, would suggest at least 2 nights as it is VERY strenuous.

Location, location. Would be way over priced if not for being fhu inside the park. Cable worked ok, no wifi at rv, leveling issues. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Good stay here for two nights, staying in park made it very convenient to get to most of the GC sites and hiking. Shuttle bus stop is right in front of entrance so very convenient. Bathrooms clean, but no showers available unless you go to adjoining campground. We had full hookups, site was a bit unlevel but we adjusted easily with levelers. Highly recommend this rv park but did think it was a little pricey but worth it to be able to stay in the park. No cell phone service or wifi unless you went to some of the lodges or restaurants in the park. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Travel Trailer.

This is THE place to stay while exploring the Grand Canyon. Elk came each day to graze nearby (warn children to not approach them). Sites are various lengths. We booked one to accommodate our 40' fifth wheel and tow vehicle (just barely long enough). Sites were wide with picnic table. No fires allowed. Poor WIFI. Minimal to no AT&T cell/data coverage. No local TV antenna. Our satellite DISH worked okay. Adequate water pressure. Pleasant neighbors. We would love to return here. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Plan ahead and bring meals with you, or enjoy any of the many restaurants. The grocery store is small and carries only essentials.

FHU sites within the National Park. Reasonably well spaced sites, loved sharing the campground with the elk in the area! Reasonable Verizon data / cell connections. Prices have increased since we originally reserved our spot, but it's still worth it to be right in the park and minimize driving back and forth. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Easy biking distance to Yaki Point, shuttle stop to transport you to other areas of the park.

Reception upon arrival was poor. Indifferent staff, clearly the high demand (due to location) makes it too easy to get customers.

Even though it was winter/spring (we even had snow one afternoon) it was not allowed to make a campfire, which in my opinion is a necessity to get a true camping feeling. I don't think they ever allow campfires here.

No wifi on the campsite. Site was clean and level. Not much privacy, it is more or less a large parking lot with a few extra's. Pull-through was easy, and there was a stop for the shuttlebus, which was convenient. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

This is the only full hookup campground in the park. Sites are adequate but not overly large and are to short for anything over 40ft. Utilities are grouped together on the rear quarter of the site. The roads are paved but narrow making maneuvering very tight. The cable at our site was not working and when reported to the office it was duly noted but never repaired. As mentioned in other post the trees need trimming again noted but not acted upon during our stay. Overall this park is barely adequate and not being really maintained. Also be aware of various wildlife that have the run of the park as they routinely travel through the campground and can be dangerous if approached. Also your unit must be self contained as there are no showers or restrooms at this campground. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Very close to the Grand Canyon with shuttle bus stop at the front of the campground.

We came during the busy spring break season which was much more busy than when we were here a few years ago. We called a month ago, and all sites were booked up, so we thought we would take our chances and see if there were any cancelations. Arrived at 2:00pm and there was one site available! Not a great campground, but it served our purpose as a home base for exploring the park. Site was paved and mostly level. No open fires allowed, just charcoal grill. The bathrooms are dated, but clean and functional. Price reflects 5 adults. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you need hookups, try to put in a reservation at this campground as soon as possible (a year in advance in busy seasons). Also, take the red shuttle bus to Hermits Rest, preferably early in the morning before the crowds build.

Great location for a visit to the Grand Canyon. Hook ups were fine and cable TV included. There it is an asphalt path to the canyon so you can walk to it easily from your campsite. Nice to come "home" for lunch during a day at the Grand Canyon. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Take a tour of the Kolb brothers studio. It is given daily at 10 am and is very good. Must sign up before this free tour. They take a max of 15 people.

$36 is too high for a park rated as "full hookups" but only providing electric due to frozen connections. No potable water anywhere, so you're out of luck if you arrive dry. Pay showers are at Mather and take 8 quarters for 8 minutes, the first of which I spent waiting for hot water since the control valve is plumbed backwards. Shower stalls are about the size of two phone booths with a gapped curtain in between which allows water to splash onto your dry stuff (important in winter). With 86 RV spaces crammed into a few acres, this place is more like "Trailer Ghetto" than Trailer Village. Restrooms are clean and heated, but showers are roughly a mile away in the Mather Campground. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Truck Camper.

Tips for other Campers:

Nice walk to Grand Canyon.

The campground is in the Grand Canyon NP with full hookups and a shuttle stop, it does not get more convenient. The spaces are close together and not particularly long, our 38 foot fifth wheel took the most of the driveway. There is some room to park very close to your rig. The entry to the various rows is tight with lots of low hanging branches, we saw many folks struggle. There are no lights so arriving after dark might be challenging. Part of the campground was closed for the season but the section that was open remained full. We had several inches of snow during our stay and the staff was out early plowing the roads and sites as people pulled out. Verizon phone was ok and internet was 3G, sort of.
This is a "pack them in park" but it has good utilities, is clean and has location, location, location. Not glamorous but perfectly fine. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Fifth Wheel.

Level, paved site, convenient to shuttle buses that can take you anywhere in the park without worrying about finding parking for the towed. Just leave it in the camp ground. Just a shirt walk to shuttle stop. Sites are very close and some appear to be un-level although ours was fine; our neighbor had both front tires and one rear tire off the ground. Hookups are easily accessible and work fine. No sitting patio just a gravel area between sites. Saw elk and deer wandering through the campground. We would stay again despite closeness of sites just for the convenience. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

I think for a full hookup park inside the National Park is a good deal. We stayed 3 nights, never used our vehicle to get around with the free shuttle service. Good cable TV system, yep, would have liked wifi. Our site some unlevel, but overall was pleased and would definitely would return. Very clean, staff helpful. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at Trailer Village several times over the years and love it. It is far better now with asphalt sites as opposed to the old gravel ones. However, you would have thought they would have leveled the sites before laying the asphalt. Most sites are very uneven; we had to have 3 blocks under the left tires. Staff is excellent. Trailer Village is convenient to the Marketplace (can walk) or the shuttle stops right there as well. Certainly hope we can return again (am a serious / professional photographer s0 take MANY pictures). We love the Grand Canyon South Rim where you can see the vast expanse of this wonder - go all the way west to east! We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

See sunrise & sunset to get all the great colors & the shadows. Mather & Yavapai points are super at sunrise; crowded. Or go to Grandview Point; not as bad. About 3 miles back from Grandview is an unmarked parking area on the right-for the road to Shashone Point-road gated; used for events; but you can walk up this road to the Point on a good dirt road-a mile. You will be at a place & see views that 99+% of visitors don't even know about.
