Great location. We were happy to have a full hookup in a National Park. Being off season, there were several sites available (we could imagine during full season the park would seem quite full). The bathrooms were basic, but clean and heated. I noticed several sites were not quite level (despite being concrete), but no biggie. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Travel Trailer.

Great RV park in GCNP. Only park with hook ups at the South Rim. No ATT cell phone service, no WiFi. Lots of people had trouble with the DirecTV. We had no problems with the TV. This park can be very crowded at peak times. Be prepared for noise. Ask for an end spot near the woods. The end spots also allow for extra parking. We were in a 40 foot MH, with a tow dolly. My son also joined us. With 2 cars, the end provided the extra parking we needed. We were traveling with dogs and it worked out great to be on the end with our own large grassy area. It was a beautiful park. Shuttle bus stops near the office. You can walk to the grocery store, if you are energetic! No complaints! We got snowed in for three days and they were nice about letting us stay two extra days. Large spots. The pull thru spots are great. Water good. Each spot has a grill and a picnic table. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Shopping at the nearby grocery store- they have everything you migh need, plus lots of souvenirs. They are pricey, but great if you forget anything. Highly suggest you take the shuttle busses where ever you want in the park. Driving can be a pain at peak times.

This was my first time to the Grand Canyon and I didn't know what to expect. This campsite was good, but it didn't have a rustic, camping feeling. It was a normal campground in an extraordinary national park. But, it has full hookups! For next time I would seriously look at Mather Campground.
There are deer everywhere! It's so amazing to look out your window and see wildlife snooping around your campsite.
Try to get a site that is NOT under a tree! Our site was under a pretty oak tree, but it dropped acorns constantly! Nothing like relaxing, or trying to sleep, inside your RV and having loud acorns dropping on the roof and rattling your nerves. Cleanup wasn't very exciting either. I had to get on the roof and sweep debris while my girlfriend was pulling the slides in.
No wood burning campfires. We used our propane firepit. I didn't have room to park my tow vehicle at the site. I should have parked the trailer at one end of the pull through instead of right in the middle. That may have freed up enough room for my truck. I parked it in a small, nearby parking area. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Travel Trailer.

The shuttle stop is conveniently located right outside the park. Unfortunately, we couldn't take our dogs onto the shuttle so we drove around. Parking was only a struggle at the village by the train station; everywhere else was not a problem.

Trailer Village has improved immensely since the first time we were there some years back - we have been there 7 or 8 times ---- we LOVE the Grand Canyon (and I have sold a lot of pictures of images I have shot there!) It is NOT a campground - they tell you it is an RV Park. All sites now are asphalt pull thrus. However, you would have though someone could have made sure on the side to side level; not good sometimes. But with all the high traffic there they do a great job. It is clean and staff are great. They take reservations 13 months in advance and you best have a reservation or the chances are next to nil that you will get in. And no place else to go as Mather will be booked solid as well. We have reservations for 6 nights next September. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Fifth Wheel.

To tell people you have SEEN the Grand Canyon and not just BEEN to the Grand Canyon you have to see it at sunrise and sunset with the shadows and color. I am fortunate to have gotten many shots that are purchased on paper and canvas.

This campground is great if you want to be right at the Canyon and have full hookups. There is a convenient shuttle stop at the campground that takes you to the Grand Canyon Village and you can catch the other shuttles that will take you throughout the park. Laundry was located outside this campground closer to another campground, but they had many washers and dryers and it was very clean and easy to do several loads at once. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Close to the Grand Canyon Rim and easy to shuttle around to all areas. Driving could be an issue when crowded, as there are not always spaces available. We would stay here again. We had some type of deer in the campground everyday wondering close to our camper. Nice to look out and see them first thing in the morning.

I would have rated this campground a 5 instead of a 6, but I bumped it up because the location is absolutely perfect. Very convenient access to all Grand Canyon sites. The free Grand Canyon shuttle bus actually has a stop at the campground entrance which is certainly convenient. The campground is nothing special--it's an RV parking lot with hookups, but this is one place where you're only in your trailer to sleep. No frills but full hookups. No showers at Trailer Village--you have to drive to the neighboring campsites to the Camper Services area for showers. The bathrooms were clean. Our site was a gravel pad with a reasonable amount of space between sites but not very long. There was cable TV and our cell signal was good. The staff is very easy going...not a lot of rules. The extra person visitor fee was only $3.50/day and there was no charge for pets. This campground is nothing special, but I would definitely stay here again if I was visiting Grand Canyon, and recommend it for its prime location. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Fifth Wheel.

We especially enjoyed the drive along scenic Desert View and visiting Watchtower at the end of the drive (about 21 miles from visitor center). The architecture of Watchtower is very unique and lovely with several breathtaking outlooks over Grand Canyon and the history is interesting.

Make sure you make your reservations in plenty of time as sites during prime vacation times book up quickly. Cable was good, although half of the channels showed as mirror images. Cell reception was spotty, and no wifi. It is all about location with this campground as you are conveniently located a short 10-15 minute walk from the rim (it also connects to a greenway that is paved and will take you throughout the park), or right on a free shuttle bus loop that will take you right up to the Visitor's Center which will allow you to connect to all the other shuttle bus routes throughout the park.

My site was sloped pretty badly and required me to use almost about 16 levelers and lower my tongue jack to the ground to get my camper level. The only downside was that the Delaware North Corporation, who runs the campground and many of the other contracted services on the South Rim, has permanent, temporary, and trailer housing on the south side of the campground. Some of these units are pretty rundown or have a lot of clutter around them. Other than that, the location could not be beat. I would camp here again. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Travel Trailer.

Grand Canyon Trailer Village is all about location, location, location. The site was gravel, unloved front to back and side to side. The site offered a small tree on one side an picnic table on the other. WiFi is non-existent in the campground with very limited cellular (ATT or Verizon). However, we were one mile walk from the South Rim Visitor Center. The Grand Canyon NP bus system picked up in the campground and the Market Plaza was with in walking distance. We had elk walk through the campground and the clarity of night stars are awesome. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Take the opportunity to turn off all outside lights and any inside lights that filter outside. Just sit in as much darkness as you can find to observe the night sky. Awesome. Also, look for the elk just before dusk. We saw 10-12 each evening.

Pull Thru with full hook up and you are in the Grand Canyon!! Nothing really special about the campground. It was clean and easy to pull in. No WIFI in campground but available at different locations in the park. Have to drive to showers that are shared with other campgrounds In the area.

This is true with the laundry. Not a problem but could get pretty busy with all the campers. Showers were $2 for 8 min. Hot water. Dryer $1 for 30 min. Washer $1.75. The shuttle was close to the campground that would take you to the visitor center to catch other shuttles. If going to the Canyon for a few days this is a great option. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Travel Trailer.

No wifi in the park. Cell service is very spotty (Verizon). Sites are a bit tight, but doable. We had to park our car next to the motorhome as the site was not long enough to park behind. All utilities worked well ... including 50 amp electric. We were able to use our small golf cart to get around the bike trails, so it was really run. The Grand Canyon is not to be missed ... beautiful. Would stay here again as there are many trails and great views of the Canyon. Elk walked around the RV park every evening. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Take all the free park shuttles on the rim. Different views of the canyon everywhere. Really enjoyed all the facilities. Very well run National Park. Just beautiful. The campground seems to be well run and all the utilities worked well. A bit tight, but we are in a 45 ft motorhome pulling a Dodge Ram ... so, we aren't small!

While the most obvious draw for Trailer Village is the location (you can walk to the Grand Canyon Visitor Center and South Rim), it's actually a pretty nice campground too. The campground is huge: row after row of pull-through sites, and there was very high turnover. We'd walk our dog in the early afternoon and see the "Campground Full" sign and wonder at the many dozens of empty sites, but by late evening they were all full again, usually with Cruise America, El Monte, or Road Bear rentals. The sites are average in size... don't expect much privacy, but enough space to not feel cramped. Our site was extremely unlevel, and even with all our wood blocks and leveling jacks we could not get level (a first for us) and had to settle for a slightly crooked stay. We saw many other RVs in a similar predicament, though plenty of other sites looked fairly level. Our Verizon hotspot worked pretty well in LTE, and AT&T worked pretty well at 3G. The park shuttle stops at the campground, there's a decent park-run grocery store adjacent to the campground, and lots of trails and paths for dog walking. We saw elk and mule deer in and around the campground almost daily. We paid $36 but a few days after we arrived we saw they changed the sign to read $44. Too bad, $36 was a pretty great rate in our opinion, for full hookups inside a major National Park. If and when we return to Grand Canyon we'll definitely be staying here again. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

This was our first time at this campground, and we expected to be packed in very tight. We were pleasantly surprised to find this was not the case. The park is huge and well managed. The shuttle to all points within the park is right outside the trailer village entrance. There is even a free shuttle to a small town outside the south entrance to the park. Right outside the trailer village is a concessonnaire-run, well-stocked convenience store with prices that only border on outrageous. We will definitely be back. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Travel Trailer.

Second stay at this location. Asphalt pull-through 50 amp full hookup sites. None are perfectly level and it takes some maneuvering to get a big rig level. Cable at site and Wi-Fi available free at the hotel and grocery store. Bus stops at entry for easy park access. New concessionaire, "Delaware North", got this campground. Looks as if they are raising prices, but still a nice place to stay INSIDE the National Park. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Good stay here for two nights, staying in park made it very convenient to get to most of the GC sites and hiking. Shuttle bus stop is right in front of entrance so very convenient. Bathrooms clean, but no showers available unless you go to adjoining campground. We had full hookups, site was a bit unlevel but we adjusted easily with levelers. Highly recommend this rv park but did think it was a little pricey but worth it to be able to stay in the park. No cell phone service or wifi unless you went to some of the lodges or restaurants in the park. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Travel Trailer.
