19 Parks near Green Valley, Arizona
Mar 2016 - $30.00
Large gravel space but would have preferred a pull thru. There was originally no picnic table at our site but camp host brought one over almost immediately. I felt very welcomed here. Joined a chair yoga class & Thai-chi several days a week. Pretty nice restaurant, enjoyed the whirlpool. Workout room, separate yoga room, nice library & pool. Had several pot lucks the month we were there. Bathrooms seemed to be newly updated but shower heads were a bit too 'hard' like needles on skin. Could really use a shower curtain between shower & dressing area or provide a different shower head to adjust. Love the green valley area. Lots to do. Went hiking into Santa Rita mtns. Tucson about 45 min away. Casino within 20 min. One thing to note; may not want to be on north end of park. There is large dog boarding & training center right next door and had lots of consistent barking. Will request spot on the other side of park next time. But will definitely be back. - Upnorthmich
Mar 2016 - $36.00
Not overly impressed with this large park next to a busy, loud, four lane highway. Sites are gravel with good space between sites but mine did not have a picnic table. Lots of things to do for those who live here full-time during the winter. Good location to tour the area, easy in, easy out. If you go south then come back north to the park, you will pass thru a Border Patrol checkpoint, which slows you down a little but is not a problem. - Camden12
Mar 2016 - $40.00
In it's day, this was surely a classy place, but the buildings are a bit worn now. Everything is very clean and the staff do a good, friendly job. It's a bit overpriced for us at $240 a week, but we have friends in the are, so here we are. The laundry is clean with six washers and eight dryers. It is quiet and surrounded by the above average beauty of Arizona. - Red Wolf Deux
Jan 2015 - $25.00
This is a very nice 55+park. People come from all over the US for the winter months. Good location. Grocery store, movie theater, fast food restaurants, banks, gas stations, urgent care all close by. Very quiet park. Lot's of activities in park. Overnight price reflects the monthly price. - GaryK
Feb 2014 - $40.00
We first came to this park for a couple of days, then weekly, then monthly, and this year for 4 months. It is a guarded park with 300 sites of which 50% are park models, 25% are mobile but rented annually, and 25% are for drive-in guests. There are a multitude of activities available and all guests are invited. Most activities are free and are led by volunteers. Sites are gravel, but have a cement patio and a blacktop driveway. All of the streets are paved. The sites accommodate big rigs, but are not huge. The park is well maintained with a pool, hot tub, ballroom, pool room, library, card room, craft rooms, shuffleboard courts, horseshoe pits, and many other facilities. The park is lovely and the people are magnificent. - Pat W.
May 2013 - $40.00
Nicest in the area, but that's not saying much. Forty dollars, cash only. Site not level. Stale environment with gravel, pavement and park model homes around you. Very close sites. Internet was farmed out to Wireless Web. Four dollars per day and only two devices can be connected with UN and PW. No streaming. - LottaTidbits
Jul 2016 - $40.00
I don't seek out KOA as a first choice, but, I was very happy with this KOA. Paved roads, gravel pad with cement patio with table and chairs, small grass area on our site, and fruit trees. I picked grapefruit every day. Clean park two clean pools, nice work out room and laundry. This park is connected to Lazydays RV, I had some service done there. Not the best value but we spent a week for service and day trips to NPS, Pima Air Museum, Titan Missile museum, Bone Yard, Mount Lemon to escape the heat. - jromo
Jun 2016 - $25.00
The GOOD: Easy freeway access (I-10). Amenities include two pools and hot tubs, mini golf, exercise room, and laundry. The park is well kept and clean. Staff is friendly. Laundry machines take debit cards. There's a bar/restaurant on site that makes fabulous wings and the Blue Moon beer tasted great after a hot day of moving the trailer. A small on-site store has essentials available. Majority of sites are pull-through and large enough for big rigs. Sites also have citrus fruit trees and guests are encouraged to pick the fruit. WiFi worked consistently the whole month. Dog run/play area is huge and has grass which is a rare site in the summer in Tucson. Several people (like my mobile RV mechanic) that know the parks of Tucson have stated this one of the nicest. I appreciated parking under the large shaded area of solar panels since it was routinely 105-110 degrees while I was there.
The BAD: Area outside of park is a little sketchy. A large wall surrounds and gated guard on duty at night. Feels safe inside. Access to stores and restaurants is not as convenient because park is in a more industrial part of town. A few days with water issues and water was off for several hours each time while being fixed. - sarandipity
Jun 2016 - $68.00
Gravel site for your RV but they have a cement pad for the table and chairs that are on every site. Even have asphalt for you to park the car.
Cable worked great and the hookups were in an easy location. They have 2 pools & 2 hot tubs that were cleaned.
We choose under the solar panels due to the heat, which made it a little cooler. We were there when it was 100 & over the 11 days we were there.
When coming back to the west coast we will be back. - virginiagirl2015
Apr 2016 - $29.00
Older quiet camp. South end Tucson. Hookups easy. Sites level. Great area to dog walk. Great shower heads with hot water. Met our needs. We extended 2 days. Fairly full camp with slots opening and refilling. NOTE: the office closes @ 5-6pm. No late self check-ins. Next morning when we called for availability we were able to check in right away. Very accommodating. Social activities per bulletins. Cable TV with good connection but about dozen channels. TBS for March Madness is all we needed! Nice park up the street. That night before, we boondocked across from nearby Pilot Truck Stop at TTT. Every night loaded with big rigs and some RVs. Worked for us. We hike/mountain bike, and Sweetwater Park just NE of downtown allows dogs. The cactus are blooming. - Pogie
Dec 2015 - $27.00
Sites we a little tight but utilities worked good. We did hear one train but that was it for noise. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. - RayN
Oct 2015 - $28.00
This park is close to the freeway, but most of the noise seemed to come from the immediate surrounding area in the form of unmuffled cars / trucks or trucks from the nearby truck stop. Yup, this is not a ritzy area, but it wasn't threatening either.
It is all gravel sites with no real vegetation or trees, so you're out in the open. They do have a decent selection of cable TV channels, although the picture quality wasn't that good. We're returning to the area in the next few weeks, and we'll probably see what else is available that might be a little quieter, but if nothing pops up, we'd return here again. - coffeetime
Mar 2016 - $44.00
A very clean, large RV resort style park. We camped here one week, so rate reflects weekly rate. Good Sam will not give weekly or daily discount. People were very friendly, laundry was excellent with three laundry locations. Pool was very nice, good rules on locations. You could wash your RV once while there. Attended a few functions, weekly activities. Grocery stores near the park were not the typical nice ones that we were used to in AZ. Had to drive to others further away, the close ones were a little seedy. The only complaint I would have is this is the noisiest park I've ever stayed in anywhere. Continuous planes going overhead up until 11pm or 12pm. One night we had helicopters continuously flying around and around at 10pm. Quieter during the day, so take a nap, you'll need it if your not used to the planes. Very good security w/entry gates, guards, high fences. Occasional food trucks stop to offer goodies for consumption then or later. Saw a Schwann's truck driving through one night. Weekly Farmers Market was small but very good products with the few that were participating. - DocColorado
Feb 2016 - $53.00
We were pleasantly surprised to find an RV Park for people over 55. We leave our pets at home with a sitter when we travel, so we were happy to stay in the No Pet section of the park. We didn't hear any barking dogs.
We had planned to stay for 4 nights, but after the first night we extended that to a week. This is an unusually fun and social RV Park. Everyone was so friendly and there were so many activities. We play pickleball. There are 8 courts. We even got a free lesson. We are going to stay at least a month next time.
Check out their web site to see all of the amenities. It is a gated community with an 8 foot fence all around. They have 24 hour security. We saw some of the cameras in the park. I am an older woman and I felt safe walking alone at night.
It is quiet except for occasional traffic noise. I don't know why because it is quite a distance from the freeway. It is on the airport flight path, and we heard some planes. Some were military. They seemed to stop at night. I don't like noise, but this didn't bother me. - GandolphJames
Jan 2016 - $55.00
This is a very nice park, with very nice people. Unsure of exactly how many sites they have...but it is a BUNCH. Lots or park model homes. Lots of activities. Used one of the 3 laundries and it was clean and had plenty of coin operated machines. A lot of the folks we met, spend the winter here and have been coming for a decade or more. After two days, we understand why. - Ncw
Jun 2016 - $24.00
Good clean park with easy access on and off I-10. Excellent staff and wide roads. Would stay here again. Sites are long, but patio area is narrow and close to adjacent sites. - richdoreen
Apr 2016 - $50.00
The roads are tight so making a pull through can be tight. The sites are level with a concrete patio. The hook ups are centrally located. - Al and Anne-Marie
Apr 2016 - $30.00
We spent one night here because of the easy on and off the freeway. Huge pull through sites, but had to use blocks to level. The RV sites are in the middle of a very large modular home community. Didn't use any of the facilities. Price listed is with PA discount. - Sally Chew
Apr 2016 - $46.00
Just a one nighter at this park on our way home due to a late start from the campground we had just spent a week at and had to leave due our maximum stay time being up. This is a senior type park with many permanent residents but a very friendly environment and good service all around. Our back in space was located in the rear of the property and situated in between many permanents but it was clean and with a good amount of space between us and the neighbors on each side. The facilities are first rate with a very nice pool area and bathhouse, etc. Great staff who got us checked in quickly and had an escort take us to our site and offer to help us back in and then showed us where everything was, etc. Located at a crossroads area southwest of Tucson just south of the old Tucson Movie Studios and within walking distance to shops, eateries, a hardware store and a Dollar General to name a few. We would have no problem staying here again................. - BankShot
Feb 2016 - $26.00
We camped here in a 42' Motorhome with a tow. The staff here is over the top wonderful and friendly. We were greeted the moment we arrived and they already knew we were coming and instantly took us to our site! It was easy to back in and we were amazed that the entire spot next to us was for our car...very spacious compared to other parks we have stayed in Tucson. There was a strong sense of community with a lot of activities every day. We used the fitness center and made friends there as well. We highly recommend this park as a great place to stay :-) - Papa-leenie d
Jan 2016 - $23.00
Lots of repeat customers. All sorts of activities. Pet and non pet areas. Open, gravel sites with patio. Great management. - flsts97
Mar 2016 - $25.00
Good free WiFi, level sites, far enough off I-10 that no road noise. - Denn0007
Mar 2016 - $23.00
Rate is daily, there is no tax. The fairgrounds park is seasonal but works well for winter visitors. We liked that it is a quiet country setting, yet easy access to I-10. There is a nice off leash dog area and lots of room for walks. Sites are level on gravel or grassy, dirt. We chose a pull through and had plenty of room for the motorhome and car. WiFi worked. There is so much to see and do in this beautiful area we stayed an extra 3 days and hope to return. We would stay at Pima Co Fairgrounds again. - prius10
Mar 2015 - $34.00
We stayed here for Escapade. Due to Escapade, traffic had us take a different exit than the GPS would have recommended to avoid short off-ramp. Escapade parking staff was amazing. Had a 50 amp full hookup site back-in site. Fairly close to each other but we had a row of bushes behind us which was nice. The sewer hookup was elevated but doable. Had good line of sight for our roof mounted satellite dish but only because it was toward the front of the fifth wheel. - Bob & Jo
Feb 2016 - $31.00
They close the office from 12:00 to 1:00 so you have to sit and wait in a hot parking lot waiting for them to open. The sewer hook-up at the site was awful and probably illegal. No cable and no Wi-Fi. Their entrance is very narrow and restrictive. The road they are on (Ajo Way) is so busy that you sometimes can't get out of the park with your car, let alone your RV. There are much better places to stay when visiting Tucson. - Cucutz
May 2015 - $31.00
I really enjoyed my stay here. The sites were clean (back in only) and the grounds were very nice. The real pleasant parts about Desert Pueblo, in my opinion, were all the different amenities they had - picnic tables, clubhouses, nice trees/scenery, putting green, pools, hot tubs, lawn games and so on. We stayed for a few days only as we were passing through Tucson, but it was quite enjoyable and we would've loved to have stayed longer. We'll definitely keep them in mind when we swing back into town. - Victor Cecic
Mar 2015 - $31.00
The sites are large, deep, and clean. There is no noise from the busy street. When we called to make reservations, the person who answered the phone was curt and rude, but the person who checked us in was pleasant. The biggest disappointments were no Wi-Fi and no cable. This park is a mobile home community, and overnighters are not the focus. We will not stay here again. - LB Rohn
Sep 2015 - $12.00
I cannot believe this place even has the nerve to tack resort onto its title. I'm not sure if it is adventure bound resort or cactus county? Who knows both names are visible in the park. The place is borderline trailer park but not the nice kind. There are quite a few long termers with very cluttered unsightly spaces. The park is showing its age and the lack of upkeep does not help. Spaces are weedy with lots of debris from trees everywhere. The expensive 50 amp spaces seemed a lot cleaner though walking around the park. The walking trails are not safe to use due to cholla cactus everywhere outside the fence on the ground. The washers in the laundry room were gross. The WiFi works good though. Snowbird rates seem high for what you get. - AZprospector
May 2014 - $35.00
We stayed one night nice staff easy after office check-in. Looks like they have recently combined this park with another and ongoing improvements are going on. Snowbirds had left so there were full-time folks there, very friendly and helpful. Easy drive to service's and looked to have many large pull-thru sites. Watch out if you're walking you're dogs; the grounds are clear, but just past the property line many Choa cactus. Yes my dog Jimmy got a face full of cactus needles the locals were very helpful and gave us a map to local vet. Happy ending, would stay again. - Flying Unicorn
Jun 2013 - $28.00
We were very pleased with this campground. It was far enough from freeway and railways to not have any noise at night. The park was very clean, well maintained and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The on-site facilities were clean and in excellent condition. We will stay here again. - garymac01
