There are good facilities for families here, including a playground, pool, and daily breakfast and lunch. Sites 73 - 112 are all close to this, and have mature trees. The portion of the park we were placed in, which is sites 1 - 11, accommodates larger coaches, but is essentially a large gravel parking lot. A few sparsely planted trees (one per site) are struggling to make it. Although we were at the far end (site 20), closest to the freeway, we could not hear any noise in our coach. The freeway is barely audible even outside. WiFi is through Tengo, and as usual, is extremely slow. We used our Verizon service instead. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Motorhome.

This is the first KOA we've stayed in that was not well maintained. There were weeds growing up through the gravel throughout the park. The picnic tables were unusable because they needed to be sanded and repainted, if not replaced. It is very easy to find off the interstate and the interior roads are wide enough to maneuver a big rig but we probably would look for a different park if we ever get back to this area. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit the painted desert - beautiful! Mesa Italian Restaurant is just down the road and very good.

The park staff is very friendly. They do have full hookups which was nice plus cable if you need it. The bathrooms were clean, but the entire park needs some TLC. Things need to be painted. Paint is peeling off in the bathroom and the Ladies bathroom had a funky smell like mold. The childrens playground has paint chipping off the merry go round. They do have a dinner menu and breakfast menu at a very reasonable price. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Recommend only to spend the night and move on.

Very convenient for seeing Petrified Forest National Park. Short-term spaces are close together but rigs are staggered at opposite ends of long spaces so they have a bit more space between them. Certainly adequate for short stays. Clean campground, very easy in and out, very nice person in office. Good wifi. Convenient to I-40 but far enough not to hear it. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Petrified Forest National Park is great.

Excellent park. Level gravel sites, excellent bath rooms and showers, same with laundry. Management couldn't have been more professional and pleasant. Great location and quiet. Highly recommended. A+++ We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Right off the freeway but not too noisy inside motorhome. Site was big enough for our 40 foot motorhome but was uneven. Small place to get breakfast and dinner. If you have pets, this is not the place for you. The only place they have for pets is plain dirt and the area is covered in prickly burs. There is no grassy area even on the outside area of the park. Water pressure was low at 40psi. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Motorhome.

Spaces too close together. I don't want to be able to hand the mustard to my neighbor through our windows! There's lots of empty sites here but they cram everyone together in a corner so no one has any room or privacy. The picnic tables are falling apart and have splinters. It is all gravel. It is fairly level. Wi-Fi works but sometimes is slow. They have good cable TV. The dog area is all dirt and has plant stickers in it. There is a nice grass area with large signs that say 'no dogs' . They have a fenced in dog park that is far away from the overnight sites. All in all - it's good for a short stay only. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Motorhome.

Typical KOA with friendly staff. It is near the highway, but road noise is negligible. We would stay here again. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects GS. We stopped here to get out of a high wind warning condition. The previous reviews are pretty much in line with what we found. It was very dusty due to the high winds and not much either natural or manmade to block the wind. Our site did not have a breaker on the power. Water pressure was good. The site was level both front to rear and sideways. It was a good overnight park. They have rolls and coffee in the morning. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here three nights while we toured the Petrified Forest/Painted Desert and Meteor Crater and Winslow. The park was clean with a high desert landscape (no large trees) The staff was friendly and they had a cookout each night. There was a dog walking area as well as an off leash fenced dog run. We were close to I-40 but the noise was not bad. We would stay here again. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Motorhome.

Worse KOA we have ever stayed in. A dirt lot next to the Freeway for $41 nightly. Short lots for big rigs. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Motorhome.

Big gravel parking lot. A decent spot to stop for the night, but wouldn't want to "live" there. Swift office staff with speedy check-in, much appreciated. We'd stop again if rolling through. Petrified forest is miles away. It's a 70 mile round trip to see that particular spot from the park. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Not bad for a KOA, but don't believe everything in their advertising. I took a site supposed to have "plenty of room for those big rigs with a tow without unhitching". When I showed up in my 40 foot MH with tow I didn't want to unhook, I was told "pull in as far as you can and let your car hang out in the drive - it won't matter". It worked because the place was fairly empty late in the season, but I wouldn't trust that when they are busy. Otherwise, no problems. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Motorhome.

This park met all our needs, which as full-time RVers, are very simple. Easy access on and off the highway; the park host was friendly and helpful; the park was clean and well-maintained; The pull-thru site was spacious and accommodated our big rig easily; all the hook-ups worked well. The park had all the amenities you'd expect from a KOA. The only negative we experienced was road noise from the Interstate. We especially like KOA parks for overnight stays and this one fit our needs just fine. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
