We stayed here for a few days while visiting the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert. The sites are gravel with enough room between sites. We had an end site, which gave us a great view of the surrounding landscape. This is close to the I-40, but freeway noise was not an issue. The dog park on the north end has grass, which the dogs loved. They also have a gravel dog run on the south side. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Motorhome.

Romo's Mexican restaurant in downtown Holbrook was excellent. Nearby is the famous Tee Pee Motel along old Route 66.

Sites are not clearly delineated and therefore moving around the park can be difficult. The sites are very close to each other and because of the mess in how everyone parks differently. Our neighbor tried everything to try and fit next to us and finally changed sites. We were lucky enough to have an end site which I recommend you request. I was surprised to find that our site didn't have cable although we always request a full hook-up site. The park is close to I-40 but it's not a problem with noise. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Motorhome.

This campground was clean, the laundry room could use some updates especially a change machine. The store had a nice variety and the couple who ran the food trailer were very nice. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Motorhome.

Good basic KOA, tucked a bit out of the way, but nice. Had a good (dirt) dog walking area. Pull-through sites were a bit tight and not quite long enough for many rigs, but everybody made due. If you have whiners, may be a problem.. Great customer service and cool place to visit. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Motorhome.

It's a KOA, so it's expensive and campers are like sardines. But, given the other options in the area I was OK with it. The pool is large and well kept. There is an older playground, but it is in great shape. Laundry facilities cost roughly $3 wash & dry, but worked nicely. Perhaps the best feature of this park was the "restaurant". It's a shack but they have an all you can eat pancake breakfast special. I think it was $3/ person. They can crank out good pancakes quickly. They are cooked on a flat top with real batter, not shake & pour from a bottle. If you stay there, you have to go there for breakfast. Other than that, overpriced in my opinion for the space and ambiance, but again probably the best in the area. The campground is convenient to shopping and Petrified Forest Nat'l Park. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We have stayed at this park a number of times and we have enjoyed each stay. The sites are gravel. They have a few sites that are long enough for the toad to stay connected on one side of the park. You feel like you are sticking out but there is lots of room behind you. The location is good right in town. There is a Chinese restaurant that delivers that has really good food. The internet was not good at all - it kept dropping out. The campground was pretty full so I suspect it was maxed out. The restrooms and showers are clean. It is convenient from the highway. We have stayed at both of the RV parks in Holbrook and prefer this one. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Motorhome.

The roads and sites are gravel. Our site was not level. Sites are close together. The restrooms near us are closed and will not be opened until there is no more danger of freezing. The wifi is satisfactory. Our site has sewer and cable TV hookup. ATT 4G without LTE is available for our cell phones.

At check-in, the office smelled horribly of sewer smells. The only working bathrooms are on the other side of the office. We will not use them.

There are very few choices to stay in Holbrook. We stayed here to visit the Petrified Forest National Park. We would not stay here again. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed one night on our way through. We got o long pull through site with water and electric. The campground and the site are easy to get in and out of. The WiFi worked well and the bathrooms are clean. We would definitely come again if we come through the area. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Motorhome.

Manager was very nice and helpful. Sites are gravel--not level. Needed to use blocks on one side. Bathroom cleaning was questionable. Noise from freeway (40) was rather loud at night. But, this is pretty much the only game in town to visit the parks. And, it seems to be, primarily, an over nighter. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

You can picture this KOA as a 3 acre gravel lot with some small trees, picnic tables, and pedestals. There's no definition to the sites or the roads. They advertise as big rig friendly saying you can stay hooked up to your toad. But if you do, your toad will be blocking passage behind you. Our site was one of those supposed big sites and it was barely 35' long by my measure. I'd say the longest sites without blocking the "road" behind you were about 50' long. I watched some big rigs come in and stubbornly park with their toad attached. No one could get by behind them without swerving tightly back and forth between rigs. They really need to define the interior roads to prevent chaos when the park is full. Besides this issue, rigs are parked awning close, which I hate. Free WiFi is TengoInternet and it barely works. AT&T had a 4G signal and Verizon was 3G without an external antenna, 4G with an antenna. Most sites are good for satellite. Some sites have cable TV. They did have a grassy dog park and grassy tent areas (with big signs saying don't walk your dog here). A handful of long term folks here have trashy yards. I didn't see a better option in tiny Holbrook so briefly stay here to visit the national park and move on. We camped at Holbrook / Petrified Forest KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
