A week stay to explore the area. Really only great activity was the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert. This is a buddy park set up which is not our favorite. While there is an area designated as a dog walk it is pure gravel along a fence. We did find Hunt Park not far away that had grass and was dog friendly. We camped at OK RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a great little RV park. Sites are level and very well laid out. Good distance between RVs and excellent service in the office. It is an older park with some mature trees which does present some difficulties with larger rigs but not too bad . This is a great spot to visit the painted Desert and petrified forest. We camped at OK RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Easy on and off the freeway. Basically a big gravel area with tiny sites. The check in lady was very friendly and let us drive around to pick our spot. Sites were very tight and the bathrooms were horrible. We camped at OK RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed here to visit the Petrified Forest. Very spacious sites. A lot of room for slides and toad. Kind of a quirky layout but worked well. No cement pads, had a picnic table. Would be fine for an overnight stop or a multiple night stay. Have quite a bit of petrified wood on display. We camped at OK RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

A few places to eat within walking distance if the weather is good. No "fine dining" anywhere that we found but all places were OK. Visit Jim Gray's petrified wood "store". Info in campground brochure. Amazing. Easy drive to the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert monuments. Plan on an entire day to see them both. Two days would be better if you can.

This was the second time we have stayed in this park. It's easy access from I-40. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They offer free coffee and muffins each morning. The sites are close to each other but extremely long and level. All the utilities worked well. Cable TV is included in the price. We didn't use the Wi-Fi. The restroom are extremely dated but are clean. We camped at OK RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed 2 nights in motorhome. Great wifi. Long pull-through on gravel. Very level. Lots of mid- size trees. Very clean and good place to stay to visit Petrified Forest and Painted Desert. Did not use laundry or bathrooms. Cable was slightly fuzzy but maybe that was us! You can hear the trains but did not bother us. We camped at OK RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a large RV park situated just a little ways off I-40 and was pretty quiet except for the occasional train in the distance. Office staff was nice, and they served muffins each morning. All sites are gravel; there's no grass anywhere, but it is the high desert! We had a cemented area that a picnic table was on, and we put our chairs on it and it was fairly nice. There is no firepite or grill. Spacing between sites was good and there were a number of sewage pipes all along the site to help out with any kind of RV (a nice feature I'd not seen anywhere else). The laundry room was clean. Our site (yellow 11) had cable TV (and, looking around, many sites appeared to have it as well), including the wire, and it worked fairly well. WiFi signal was quite good and the speed was pretty good. Verizon signal was 3-4 bars. Hookups were good, but in the afternoon of the last full day we spent there, the power went out multiple times, once for 45 minutes. (The air temps were very nice, though, so we didn't suffer.) Dumpster was close by. We would stay here again. We camped at OK RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a Dollar store within easy walking distance. Petrified Forest National Park is less than an hour east and well worth a day or two, with lots of hiking options. (But go when it's not hot.) 45-minutes west is Meteor Crater and though tickets are a bit pricey, I still thought it was worthwhile. And, no, we did not go stand on a corner in Winslow Arizona, but you can! :-)

Easy to find off of I-40 or AZ77. Roads to RV park are easy to travel with a big rig. Check in was very efficient, friendly and pleasant. Sites are pull through, level, sand and gravel, but that is AZ. Park roads are wide and big rig friendly. There are a few small trees around the the park, but shade is limited. Good water pressure, no electrical issues with 50amps. Cable and wifi worked well. Some sites are a long distance from showers, restrooms and laundry. Ask for a site close to facilities if you do not like walking. Staff is very willing to make your stay enjoyable. This is a great affordable park for one or many nights. We would stay here again. We camped at OK RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

One must remember, this park is located in a desert setting. It appears that the RV park is a converted section of the adjacent mobile home park. The RV park is better! The pull-through sites are all offset and long, so your neighbor is actually behind you giving you plenty of space on each side. Each site has multiple electrical, water, and sewer connections. Admittedly, the sites are not seemingly up-to-date and "slick", but are quite sufficient. We have stayed here several times and will be back! We camped at OK RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We camped here to visit Petrified Forest NP. The campground has an unusual set-up of placing campers in alternating directions in order to maximize the use of space. It's strange at first, but works. Neighborhood streets pass through the campground so you will see a school bus pass by or other local traffic. The wifi was very good at our site which was across from the office. The down side of our site was idling motorhomes while they were checking in. The laundry was very spacious and clean. We stayed three nights but all of our neighbors changed daily. Trains can be heard nearby. We camped at OK RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a High Volume overnight stop right off I-40 in Holbrook. Basically a large gravel parking lot with long pull thrus with rigs parked in a staggard arrangement.

Very close but, there is room for slides. Power, sewer, & WiFi was OK. We stayed here 5 nights to visit sights in the area.

I don't think there is much choice anywhere close by so from that standpoint it was OK.

It was amusing how the majority of the campground would empty out during the day and then fill back up in the evening. We camped at OK RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

At $29.50 Good Sam for a FHU 30 amp site this place is a good deal. The sites are the longest I've ever seen. All pull thru and probably 80-90 feet long. They are parking-lot style side by side on gravel, but they are set up so that the set ups alternate so unless your neighbor has the longest rigs and tow ever you really aren't right next to anyone. There are about six different sewer connections per site and the electric, water, and cable are located toward the rear of the sites. All worked well. The restroom is old, ugly, and badly needs updating. But the showers are generous size, have good pressure and lots of hot water and a door on each stall that affords full privacy. The laundry room is much like the restrooms. There are 8 washers (only 5 currently working). They are on the small side and $1.50 each. The dryers (6 with only 5 working) are good size but only run 36 minutes for $1.50, not nearly long enough to dry jeans and towels on one cycle. The room is spacious, though, with several tables and chairs for folding. Check-in was fast and efficient and overall the place was very clean. No grass for dog walking, though. The park is right in Holbrook and only a couple blocks from a restaurant, McDonalds, and travel center with large convenience store. The wi-fi even worked well! And Verizon signal was four bars of LTE. I consider this a great place to use as a base for visiting the Petrified Forest National Park and whatever else you want to see in the area. Would definitely come back. We camped at OK RV Park in a Truck Camper.
