We stayed at this park with a group. It has long, level sites with full hook-ups and plenty of room between sites. The staff is very friendly and escorts you to your site. The park is very easy to access from I-40, and although close to the interstate, the noise level was low. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at OK RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

This is a good place to stay when visiting the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert National Parks.

Nice park with helpful staff. Long pull thru sites that were level. Hook-up's worked great and sewer connections were easy reach from coach as there were several to use. Easy in and out and close to I-40 but far enough away to not have noise. Many cable channels to pick from. Has WIFI but didn't use. We camped at OK RV Park in a Motorhome.

Good overnight campground in a desert setting. Sites are very narrow and long. The host requests that you park at alternating ends which work out fine. I was able to open my three slides with no problem. Level gravel sites and paved entry roads. I stayed here overnight and would return. We camped at OK RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Petrified Forest National Park nearby. It's a nice, interesting place to spend the day in cooler weather.

The park is gravel with paved roads. The sites are long and narrow buddy sites, they have you pull to the end of the site and that gives you plenty of room for slides and more space. The sites are level and the hookups are close. Good over night or exploring the area. we will stay again. We camped at OK RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Spent two weeks here visiting family in AZ. This is an unique park with an interesting history. In the '70's a big coal fired power plant was being built, a multi-year project. A mobile home park was created to house the workers. This is what it became. One end still has manufactured homes, the other end is the rv park. What is odd is that the streets and alleys are dedicated to the city, so they are wide, asphalt, with lighting, and named with street signs. These streets dissect the park into three distinct sections. Normal town traffic traverses the park. This is a big park.
This is an exceptionally friendly park, check in was easy with very nice folks in the office who explain the parking scheme.
The sites are very long (think double-wides) with a pad left from the past.
Rv's enter from alternating sides then pull through to the other end.
It is hard to explain, but if done correctly there is an empty space on either side of each unit. You sure don't have to unhook anything. Utilities are easy if you follow the parking instructions, there are many sewer hookups at each site. Sites are level. Wi-Fi was good with four hot spots. Cable tv was very good with many clear channels.
This is the "High Country" it is sand and gravel and little rain. The park is Arizona attractive, no grass or flowers but they work very hard to have trees. All the trees have automatic irrigation. A grounds crew tends the trees and keeps the property looking neat as a pin. Had time to talk to the owners. They continue to plan improvements and are very proud of this well managed park.
Bathrooms are old and could maybe use updating of fixtures, but are very clean and functional. Much of the wear is probably from scrubbing and simply years of traffic. Showers were also nice and clean tile with lots of pressure and hot water. All very comfortable. Laundry is very big with many machines at 1.50. Well lit at night with police patrol.
This is a great old park and worth the stop. We camped at OK RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Holbrook does have the iconic Wigwam Motel, "Have you slept in a wigwam lately?" , from the halcyon days of Rte 66. It is worth a picture.
Drive West to Winslow, it is faring somewhat better. You can go downtown and "Stand on the corner in Winslow,Arizona".
Also, La Posada Hotel is the last of the great Fred Harvey Santa Fe Railroad restaurant/hotels, is completely restored and operating. Common areas can be toured, great restaurant and gift shop. Must see!

This park was very clean, with flat spots. The price was very good with no added on or hidden fees. It was easy to access, close to I-40, but had little traffic noise. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The camp store was limited, but the goods sold were very reasonable in price. This place is more than just "Ok", it's a great value for stopovers or visits to the petrified forest. We will stop again if we are in the area. We camped at OK RV Park in a Motorhome.

Assigned Site 1 which is a large gravel, pull-through with full hookups including 50 amp service. We had a reservation which facilitated a quick check-in by delightful staff who also offered information about the surrounding area. Park is in a quiet location with convenient access to I-40. Free WiFi worked well. Office is open until 8:00pm in the evening. Note: site 1 and 2 share a pedestal for 50 amp service. 30 amp service also available at the site. Restrooms and laundry were very clean, however, we did not use the laundry. We camped at OK RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Great location to stay while visiting the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest National Parks. Downtown Holbrook has the historic Route 66 feel. Easy access to the Maverick Fuel Station near I-40 exit and entrance. Well laid out for large rigs with tow vehicle connected. Immediate area has many restaurants both fast food and dine-in available.

Not your typical campground in terms of layout, but plenty of room around site due to the buddy layout configuration. Bathrooms are pre-fab and old, but they work if you need them. Office staff very friendly and helpful! Easy on/off highway, yet quiet at night. We would stay again. We camped at OK RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

According to Trip Advisor, Mesa Restaurante Italiana is the #1 place (of 30) to eat in Holbrook, but don't bother! Food was poor quality; service was slow; wine list terrible. Find someplace else to eat.

Very good park for visiting Petrified Forest/Painted Desert. Good halfway spot between Phoenix and Albuquerque. Wonderful service from lady at front desk. Very strong WiFi. We asked about streaming, were given permission, and it worked well. Sites very long with multiple sewer points. Most drives were paved but somewhat rough. We had to exit the park to re-enter for our site and that new drive was dirt and rough. Would stay here again. We camped at OK RV Park in a Motorhome.

Large older park with good long level gravel sites and easy hookups. Wifi and cable were both good and reliable. Bathrooms/showers were cleaned well but old and worn. Laundry reasonable & worked well. Nice folks up front. Lots of dust...but that's kind of expected in this area. No pool. We camped at OK RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

You can walk to fast foods + Mexican restaurant & Pizza Hut delivers.
Explore the petrified forest/painted desert...Buy some at Grays...just south of town which has a HUGE outdoor & indoor collection of VERY large to small pieces if you don't have time for the park. There's also some right at the park office. We also loved looking at the Wigwam motel downtown.

Good location, easy to find, very organized check in, good WIFI, easy pull through. Coffee and Muffin in the AM for free. No real Pet area which is a bummer, basically do there business along a outer fence. Good cable and WIFI, we stayed one night and would stay again. We camped at OK RV Park in a Motorhome.

We spent two days here as we wanted to visit Painted Desert and Petrified Forest. The sites are extra long pull throughs. We asked to stay a couple hours past check out on our second day and there was no problem. There is a huge laundry room. Cable TV and WIFI worked well. Would stay here again if in the area. We camped at OK RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
