Wide open park with very long pull-thru's. Easy in-easy out. Very convenient to a couple of good locally owned restaurants as well as the Petrified Forest/Painted Desert Natl Parks. The lady who checked us in, Lorna, was great! Friendly and informative. Since it was an unusually windy day she changed our assigned site to avoid having dust blowing into the door side of the RV. Thanks Lorna! Good place to spend a day or two. We camped at OK RV Park in a Motorhome.

We were so impressed with everything here. The hosts were kind and helpful. The utilities worked perfectly with great water. We were parked alternately in deep sites so that our neighbors did not join us for dinner! We actually had two little trees to help shade us! We camped at OK RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Pricey for what you get, since they charged $5 extra for 2 of our kids. No amenities other than showers and laundry. Reasonably close to the Petrified Forest. We camped at OK RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Petrified Forest. We walked the dog down the dirt road to the LDS church. There's some grass there.

Enjoyed the park. We stayed four nights. Sites are very long with lots of sewer hookups. Cable TV was OK: a bit snowy, but very usable. Each site even had cable TV lines available to run to your RV. Sites are open and have great satellite reception. Water and electric were fine too. In addition, the park was very clean. The staff was very good too. We communicated with the staff during the reservation stage and then again when I called to make a minor change. They were most helpful. We found them helpful and with a sense of humor. We would definitely stay here again when we're in the area. We camped at OK RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Park was convenient to the freeway but not so close as to cause too much noise. The parking area was level, gravel and the utilities worked as expected. The onsite BBQ was great. We camped at OK RV Park in a Motorhome.

Staff very business like (or should I say short with customers). Not at all friendly. I was parked directly in front of the office and one of them came out and upbraided me for having a pickup tire too close to sewer hookup. Cable TV mediocre. On the positive side, I had good Wi-Fi. Several sewer hookups along length of site making it convenient, regardless of where unit drain is located. We camped at OK RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a good short term park. The park is very aged and is in need of updating. But is adequate as far as facilities . Sites are very long pull through and can leave a tow vehicle attached overnight if need be. Utilities are on a dirt surface. It rained when I left. It was muddy disconnecting. Close to expressway, Holbrook and Petrified Forest NP. We camped at OK RV Park in a Motorhome.

About the only good thing about this park was the laundry available...it was clean with new washers and good dryers. But the office people were rude from the moment I checked in. She put the map of the park on the counter and proceeded to mark, with a black marker, all the rules. Made the point that if we didn't follow, we would be asked to leave....Seriously?? All the sites are long but very narrow so they can stagger park RV's making things very tight. Plus it seemed that they put everyone in one section so there were 6-8 in one area while the rest of the park was empty. Not easy to pull out or back in with all the sewer hook-ups, electric and water along the sides. Plus not level and our picnic table had a broken seat. The electric has no circuit breaker on the post. Not safe. There is nothing nice about this place but if you want to visit the Petrified Forest& Painted Desert, there aren't a lot of choices in the area. We camped at OK RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I have stayed at this RV park before and the service received the first stay is what brought me back. Not the same at all. My reservation was "lost" but luckily I had the reservation agent's name. The staff member acted like she was doing me a big favor instead of apologizing. The ladies restrooms/showers were being renovated and there was only one open and it desperately needed renovation and could have been cleaner. We camped at OK RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Easy to get to from I-40. Long pull through site allowed us to keep our car connected to our 40ft MH, but it was a very narrow site. This was not an issue as there were only 6-10 other campers in this very large park and they were scattered. Water/sewer/power were all good. Wi-Fi was also good. Everything is gravel, and close to level. Staff was friendly. We stopped for one night. Would consider staying here again. We camped at OK RV Park in a Motorhome.

Easy on and off from I-40. We have used this park for overnights from our home in SW CO to Southern Arizona several times. Nothing fancy just easy pull-thrus with dependable utilities with level sites. Cable has ESPN and over 50 channels. We camped at OK RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

First Impression: A big CG. All dirt and gravel with a few trees and pedestals. Safety: No concerns. Access: Exit 286 off I-40, turn north to Buzzard Blvd on left, behind Tractor Supply, huge sign. Buzzard Blvd road in poor condition, good signage, Garmin GPS is accurate. Office: Nice staff, token store with snacks, a few RV equipment items. Credit cards accepted. Online reservations not available. Good Sam discount. Facilities: No pool, spa, fitness room or rec center. Large, clean laundry room. Restrooms/showers dated from the 60's, stained fixtures, sufficiently clean, no mold, but peeling paint (score "B"). No propane sales. No playground. No off-leash dog run. Campground: Not in a flood plain. No storm shelter. Lightly wooded. Interior roads are wide dirt/gravel in good condition with gentle turns and no overhead obstacles. Big rig and long coach friendly. Prevosts won't have problems. No tent area, yurts, or cabins. Sites are all nearby, level, dirt/gravel, pull-through and back-in, no landscaping. Pedestals at middle of site with electric 30 or 50 (not both); no meters. Low water pressure with okay taste. Multiple sewer pipes are 4" threaded, about 2" above ground level. No patios; good picnic tables. Fires not permitted; no fire rings. Good satellite views. Free cable TV. Free Wi-Fi with excellent coverage and bandwidth. Verizon phone and 4G at 4 bars. No recycle bins. Noise: Railroad noise but no aircraft, traffic, or interstate noise. Bug Report (early October): no insects noted. Runners: CG roads marginal for running. Yoga: no good place to put your mat. Conclusion: Score 5-Acceptable. We camped at OK RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
