The showers are expensive, the toilets are portapottys. But I would definitely stay here again. It was beautiful. No ATT cell, no WiFi, no TV - just nature. The hosts are very nice, but the owner is absentee, so if a real problem occurs, you may be out of luck. Pretty tight for most lots. Many lots are not very level. All lots are shaded by 60+ foot ponderosa pines. We camped at Kaibab CampeRVillage in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The canyon is the big draw.

The pictures on the internet were really nice and the lady on the phone when I made reservations was pleasant, answered all my questions and was very helpful. But when we arrived the park did not live up to the pictures. Yes, the sites have electric, water and sewer, not an easy thing I'm sure up in the woods. But, the sites are all jammed in together, only more or less level, no room for individual fire rings or to comfortably set out a mat and a few chairs. Very cramped. The location is so beautiful but I would only recommend this park, despite it's friendly employees, for someone who has to have electric for some reason. We left early because it was so unpleasant and of course the park refused us any refund even though as crowded as it was I am sure they got double pay for the night we didn't use. I would suggest the Forest Service Campground a mile away as a better choice even though it does not have hookups. We camped at Kaibab CampeRVillage in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

I would suggest the Forest Service Campground a mile away as a even though it does not have hookups. The North Rim of the Grand Canyon is only 40 miles away and Zion National Park is about 60 miles north. The Vermillion Cliffs where the California Condors are being reinstated is nearby and there is a viewing site where they can sometimes be seen.

For a quiet, cool stay nestled among whispering pines, this is the place for you. Nearest full-hookup park to the Grand Canyon North Rim and great jumping off point for Vermilion Cliffs and Pipe Springs national monuments, etc. If you cannot abide the lack of satellite (those whispering pines, again), Wi-Fi or a 50-amp hookup, this is not the place for you. We had a great ten days but blew out a month's worth of Verizon hot spot data. Nearest groceries 37 miles away in Kanab, UT, closest package liquor at the Buckskin Bar in north Fredonia, 32 miles.

Fuel available less than a mile from the camp. Yes, there is a 1/2 mile of bumpy road to get to Kaibab CamperVillage but it's worth it.

Visit the alternate National Park viewing sites, Point Imperial and Port Royal. Many driveable trails in the adjoining National Forest will take you to beautiful and nearly deserted Grand Canyon viewing points. Great maps available at the Forest Service office up the road, along with suggested hiking and driving trips. If you try unpaved roads other than those on the suggested trips, do so in a high clearance 4WD vehicle. We camped at Kaibab CampeRVillage in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

A couple hours at the Pipe Springs National Monument west of Fredonia will awaken you to issues during the settling of the West you never considered. Travel to off-road sites in the Vermilion cliff area is best done with a HC 4WD and towing insurance, but the Condor Site is a few miles up the unpaved road shown on maps is okay for passenger cars. Bring good binoculars.

Previous reviews are correct. The campground hosts were especially helpful to us in resolving a problem with our trailer. At the time we were here, Verizon was having problems with their tower, but hopefully that will be fixed. The only issue we had with this park was the power. We stayed in the west row along the fence, and this row had low voltage while we were there -- never got over 109 and often was under 100. I checked some of the other rows and they were around 118. Other RVs in our row told me that their voltage alarms were constantly tripping. Other than that, this park is very well managed, clean, and a comfortable place to stay. It is about a 45 minute drive to the North Rim Visitor's Center. We camped at Kaibab CampeRVillage in a Fifth Wheel.

The park itself has nice trees, and there are trails you can walk along. We were excited to see Kaibab squirrels here. The staff was helpful.

I was very disappointed in the showers - frankly, I wouldn't wash the dog in one. They were ramshackle affairs and there was mud on the floor. We camped at Kaibab CampeRVillage in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Obviously, the big attraction here is the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, which is a 40 mile day trip away.

This park is a real dichotomy: terrific setting, great camp hosts, but very sketchy sites and roads, especially for large RVs. We had three days of snow and rain, which made a lot of mud. This place needs a few hundred tons of gravel to mitigate the mud issues.

Warning: Generators are NOT allowed, so be prepared for that of you decide to dry camp. This place is too expensive for what it is. We camped at Kaibab CampeRVillage in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Essentially no shopping so bring everything with you. Hundreds of miles of dirt roads are great to explore; get a map at the NF Visitor Center.

Nice CG in the pine trees. The entrance road is about a mile and a gravel road. Inside CG roads and sites are gravel. We were fortunate that our rooftop dish worked through the trees. 30 amp, water, and sewer all worked. Pull-through was not level and short but we were able to park our truck at the back of our the pull-through row. The sites were narrow in this row. Our Verizon cell phone and hotspot worked. Quiet CG, we liked it. We camped at Kaibab CampeRVillage in a Fifth Wheel.

Quiet park surrounded by National Forest. Entrance via a Forest Service Road is rough - go slowly! Escort to site; friendly staff. Some sites very tight - we lucked out and got a roomy one. My dogs loved the Pet Walk trail in the forest - we even saw a Kaibab Squirrel. Lovely drive to the Grand Canyon North Rim. We would stay here again. We camped at Kaibab CampeRVillage in a Fifth Wheel.

The site was clean, level and long enough. We were in 42' motor home pulling a 12' trailer. The turns in the park were a little tight but manageable. The campfire areas were shared and we enjoyed meeting nice folks when we brought out guitars. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They informed us, when we arrived, that there was some kind of restriction that prohibited the sewer line from being on the ground and offered to loan us a raised rack. They were informed about all the area attractions and happy to answer questions. As the only full hookup RV campground on the North Rim, they did a great job. We camped at Kaibab CampeRVillage in a Motorhome.

We had no problem leveling our trailer. The pines everywhere are wonderful. Easy to get in and out of the pull-through sites. Decent space between sites. It has everything we need. But it doesn't have Wi-Fi or TV. But you don't come to the North Rim for that anyway. We camped at Kaibab CampeRVillage in a Travel Trailer.

This is the closest RV park with full hookups to the north rim of Grand Canyon National Park, but 40 miles from the park entrance. Sites and roads are sand/gravel and could be more level. Great pine trees and good shade. Sites are good size, staff is friendly and helpful. Toilets are Porta-Potty chemical toilets and are very clean. We had no problem with electric, water and sewer hookups. Park is within a national forest but is privately owned. No cable, no off-air reception, and sat. may be iffy due to the trees. We would definitely stay here again if visiting the north rim. We camped at Kaibab CampeRVillage in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here four days and would stay again. The sites were level 30-40 years ago but require some imagination now to get level. Only campground I've used where my converter kept kicking on and off, don't know what was going on with the electrical power. The laundry was one working washer and two dryers down the hill from the campground. Might be adequate for a hand full of items and a short hike. Nice friendly helpful camp hosts who made the stay nice. We camped at Kaibab CampeRVillage in a Fifth Wheel.

This was really the only full hook up location for access to the North Rim, about 40 miles away but it is a lovely drive. Nice location away from the highway with a short drive on a dirt road. The campground is simple dirt lots with lots of trees around the perimeter. Very friendly staff. Very quiet. If we ever return to the North Rim we would stay here again. We camped at Kaibab CampeRVillage in a Motorhome.

We had an exterior back-in site right next to the forest. Gorgeous tall pine trees throughout the camp. Staff escorted us to a site and assisted with back in. Gravel base for roads and sites are in good condition. WiFi is iffy, Verizon had good signal (3 bars), and no problem with calls or internet. Only negative item is the half mile drive from AZ Hwy 67 to the camp entrance on a forest service road. Good gravel road but you need to go very slow to avoid rock damage. We would definitely camp here again. We camped at Kaibab CampeRVillage in a Travel Trailer.

Low score is mainly for very poor electrical system. Never got above 110 volts, kept dropping to 101-102 volts and tripping my surge protector (every 2-3 hours). When I first checked in, I had the manager check my pedestal and confirm the voltage (110V at that time). No way I could have run the air conditioner, so was lucky we didn't need it. Also it seemed like management never tried to enforce the quiet hours (yelling kids made it more of a playground than campground). Park location is a 1-hour drive to the North Rim. Some sites need a lot of help with leveling. Cookies at the Jacob Lake Inn really are good. We camped at Kaibab CampeRVillage in a Travel Trailer.
