This is a wonderful campground sitting up on a hill with a beautiful view of the plain all around you. It has recently been updated so the trees are not grown yet but they have fire pits and tables and if there's not one at your site you can request one. They have a huge covered pavilion where you can have family reunions if you so desire. It's a good location to so many things around you. We spent three weeks here and did most of the major things but a lot of things were left till next time. This part of the country is amazing. You can get to Zion, Bryce, North Rim, Lake Powell and so much more. We camped at Kaibab Paiute Band Tribal Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Juniper Ridge in Fredonia is a really good restaurant. It's still evolving but food is very good. We also liked Sego in Kanab. Sharing style of eating sort of like tapas.

Newly renovated. Large sites, all pull through. Hardly ever anyone there to check you in so you have to drive back to the convenience store. Very clean restrooms, laundry and TV room. Not too busy ever. NO phone service or TV signal but good free WIFI. Walking distance to Pipe Springs NM. Could use a few more trees. We camped at Kaibab Paiute Band Tribal Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Gorgeous views across the prairie with red rock to the side. Nice, hard packed trail for walking or biking to the store/gas station, to the Visitor's Center or along the red rock into the village. Full-hookup sites are very roomy, although not level. Price for laundry is $1.75 and machines did a great job. So many points of interest can be accessed: Zion National Park, North Rim Grand Canyon, Coral Pink Sands, Staircase National Monument and Pipe Springs National Monument. Star gazing is terrific as is the quiet. Heard coyotes every evening and loved it. WiFi was reliable. I plan on staying again! We camped at Kaibab Paiute Band Tribal Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a hidden gem! About 1/2 mile from the hwy, about 1/4th mile from Pipe Spring National Monument. We visited the Grand Canyon, Zion's National Park, Bryce Canyon, Vermillion Cliffs, Cliff Dwellers, Pipe Spring, Jacob's Lake and could have stayed a month and not seen everything! Amazingly clean, super nice staff, and quaint clubhouse with games, kitchen, showers, laundry, TV, and nice sitting area. We will be back! We camped at Kaibab Paiute Band Tribal Campground in a Travel Trailer.

When we arrived there was someone outside cleaning up the campground of some basic litter and trash. They addressed us and made us feel right at home. Later as we were walking around that same person gave us a tour of the clubhouse and gave us some good tips like where the national monument is (Pipe Spring) (only 1/4 of a mile away), and other attractions in the area. We will stay here every time we come through, all the other campgrounds in the area are twice as expensive. We camped at Kaibab Paiute Band Tribal Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed here 2 nights; bare with a few newly planted trees, a grass tent camping section. Appears to be a fairly new facility with upgrades in process. Sites are many and pull thru with full hook-ups, 30 & 50amp service. No pavement but crushed rock and fairly level. A multi-purpose club house with new showers, bathrooms and laundry facilities. Impeccably clean, like brand new! Beautiful views around and a good location for N Rim of the Grand Canyon. Excellent value for $20/night! We camped at Kaibab Paiute Band Tribal Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

St. George and Hurricane to the west; Kanab and Grand Canyon N Rim to the east. Vermillion Cliffs where Condors are released is within a day trip. A great OHV playground; we took a trip to the White Pocket rock formations, simply awesome! If you are into slick rock mountain biking, Gooseberry Mesa is right next door, 30 minutes drive time back towards Hurricane.

Stayed here for a couple days. Could not find a level site. When I tried to hook up my hose to the water faucet, the faucet itself leaked so bad I couldn't use it. One of the groundkeepers told me I could move or stretch my hose to another site. They have multiple sites and I was only the second camper here. The other was a volunteer for the National Monument. There is a nice, newish looking building that houses restrooms, showers and laundry as well as a community room - but I was told it was not open yet. The park itself is a large unshaded area. At least it wasn't $30 or more, which is typical of this area. We camped at Kaibab Paiute Band Tribal Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very basic campground which is not well maintained but OK for a night. Very convenient if visiting Pipe Spring National Monument (highly recommend) which is 1/4 mile away. All hook-ups worked but were not in very good condition. Restrooms were clean. No cell phone or TV but good internet (get code from camp host). Very quiet with great views of the Kanab and Kaibab Plateaus. Direction: From Rt. 389 east of Colorado City, AZ, turn north at Conoco (good gas price, no tax) to Pipe Spring NM, continue 1/4 mile to campground on right. We camped at Kaibab Paiute Band Tribal Campground in a Motorhome.
