Very nice well kept park. Has some shade. Lots of room in pull thru sites. Lady in office was very helpful with directions to Visitor's Center. Had a small dog park at back of property. Be careful when you exit I-40 and turn onto Metcalfe Rd by the Chevron station. The adobe style building is the office around the corner. Don't over shoot it (like we did) or you'll have to go around again. We camped at Fort Beale RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Grand Canyon Skywalk is amazing. I recommend going to the Kingman Visitors Center and get maps. The gentleman that help me with info was very knowledgeable.

This is a nice place to stay for the night while driving through the desert. There's a slow but steady climb when approaching from the west after crossing the Colorado River, so it's a little bit cooler than Needles. Kingman is big enough to have good services, good gas prices, and good restaurants. This is not a large park, but big enough so that navigation is not difficult. The people in the office are friendly. We would stay here again. We camped at Fort Beale RV Park in a Motorhome.

We pulled in and were assigned site #38. Upon navigating the very narrow road, we pulled into #37 as there were trees and light posts at the entry to #38 and we would not being able to pull the big rig into that spot since it was a 90 degree turn. We had to unhook the tow car as we were hanging into the road. Not very level and back left tires were off the gravel. Very clean park and check-in was a breeze! We camped at Fort Beale RV Park in a Motorhome.

This RV Park has a very friendly staff, and great policies like no penalty for cancellation. They have a small dog run that easily accessible for everyone. The Park is easy to get to off of I-40 and has a neighborly feel. There is some road noise, but it did not bother us. There were nice views and pull-in sites. We camped at Fort Beale RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Our pull-thru was just long enough where we did not have to unhook the tow car. The interior roads are narrow and tight tough to get rig parked and then again exiting. The park is clean and worked for overnight. Check is was easy and utilities where well placed. Looks like there are a lot of full timers but there sites where clean and well maintained. We will stay again if in the area. We camped at Fort Beale RV Park in a Motorhome.

These friendly folks take PRIDE in this park and it shows. Quiet (trains in distance) and well cared for on a daily basis. The park is full of great people weather they are here for the night of for months like we do. Lots of wonderful back country to explore... You'll NOT be disappointed. We have stayed a couple of times at this park and like it very much. Very easy access to the park's entrance and close to I-40 and yet very little traffic noise. This is a fairly small park with an outer perimeter of back in spaces and a middle a row of pull thrus that are for the over night crowd. The perimeter spaces seem to be mostly for permanent or longer stay residents. Very nice manager and friendly folks in the park itself. We called ahead the same day and were lucky to get the last open pull thru at the end of the row. It happens to be the best space in the park with regards to views and no neighbors on the view side. We will definitely stay here next time our travels take us thru Kingman and decide to lay over there. All hookups worked great, good water pressure and no trees to spoil reception to a satellite dish equipped RV. Just a very nice all around RV park that takes pride in its cleanliness and hospitality, and that values it's short term guests. We also felt safe here which nowadays seems to be a welcome feeling to have when staying in an RV overnight. We camped at Fort Beale RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Within a short walking distance to a small but very good Mexican cafe and a Carl's Jr. Markets and other stores also very close by. Getting off and on I-40 west or east very easy and quick.

Not for dogs. Small fenced dirt patch for poop and pee. Did direct us to the city dog park that was very nice and not too far from us. It had a small dog (under 30 lbs.) and large dog park. Both huge with benches and water. Also this park slants downward so it was hard to level. Nice pool. Friendly. Close to food. We camped at Fort Beale RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This park is small but super neat and clean. Interior roads are paved with flat concrete edging. Pull through spaces are 30 by 65 and straight in parking (not angled) but we were able to negotiate it with our motor home and toad. Bathrooms, showers, pool etc were super clean and VERY nice. Pride of ownership shows in every aspect of the park. It is located near to I-40 but we were not bothered by traffic noise. The exits off of I-40 were very busy but manageable. I had gotten specific directions for accessing the park when I called ahead of time. It was a good idea as the street (Metcalfe) was a little tricky to see if you did not know where it was and we were directed to turn between the Carl's Jr and the Chevron station. Made is a breeze. We stayed here two nights and enjoyed it. We would stay again. We camped at Fort Beale RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Convenient to the interstate but noise was not too bad. Plenty of room between sites but they are not angled, so some loss of privacy. Park is on somewhat of a grade so some leveling is required but not enough to necessitate unhitching from tow vehicle. All utilities functioned well. Small trees between sites. The dog park is so small as to be practically useless. Lots of long term residents, but sites are neat and well kept. This was perfectly fine for our overnight requirements, but I probably wouldn't want to stay here for an extended period. We camped at Fort Beale RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
