Overall Rating:

This park is located a couple miles off I-40 in a semi developed residential area so it's very quiet. It's an older park but well maintained. Our pull thru was a typical, narrow KOA site that was built before RV's had slide outs. Each site has hedges and trees that add privacy but make a narrow site even narrower. The power pedestal is located in the front and the water, sewer connection is towards the back. I had to jockey around a bit to find the "sweet spot" where I could reach the power, sewer and not hit my slide outs on trees. All the utilities worked fine. Each site built in charcoal BBQ but in my case it's location is within a few feet of my neighbor's slide out.
The biggest issue I have with this park is it's way over priced. We are on a 30 day, 9 state tour of western states (not inc. CA). All of our stays have been at private RV parks and this is the second highest price we've paid. At the hightest priced park, also our favorite, we paid only a few dollars more than here and it's at a whole different level than this park. It's also adjacent to a national park.
If ever again in Kingman, I'll stay elsewhere. We camped at Kingman KOA in a Motorhome.

Nice enough park. A little overpriced, we thought. Site was level and facilities worked fine. Pool and hot tub are as good as anywhere. There were more activities that may justify the cost but we didn't use them. I'd probably look elsewhere due to the cost next time we stay in Kingman. We camped at Kingman KOA in a Motorhome.

The park is clean and well-maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful and greet you with a smile when you walk in. Our site was wide and long and SAT TV friendly, as we had requested. This KOA is situated well off the highway so it is quiet and peaceful. We've stayed here many times and have never been disappointed. We camped at Kingman KOA in a Motorhome.

Very basic campground, would definitely stay here again...but it was hotter than...well HOT. (I measured 156 degree ground temps.) Nice basic KOA campground and we were tired so it worked fine, as long as our AC did. That would have sucked. We camped at Kingman KOA in a Motorhome.

We are glad you were satisfied during your stay with us, although we do apologize that it happened to be so hot out when you were here! One downside to being in the desert, we suppose! Thank you for your kind review, and we look forward to seeing you again in the future.

We make two trips a year through Kingman and usually stay elsewhere but we found our usual park full so we took a chance staying here. Price was a bit high for the amenities in the park but such is KOA. Lots of permanent residents here and they appeared to be orderly and neat. Site was groomed dirt and gravel, level, and the cable was good. Shared utility posts but in the area we were assigned, we did not have next door neighbors. Pet area was large, clean, and stocked with poop bags. Staff was friendly and helpful. Did not notice road noise at night. All in all, it was a pleasant stay and we will return. We camped at Kingman KOA in a Motorhome.

We always enjoy the chicken and red beans and rice from Popeye's at the TA in town. Bought gas at the Love's gas/diesel station just east of town.

Stayed 5 nights in TT. Sites are gravel but are large, level, and easy to access and some with shade. Pool and hot tub but did not use. Bathroom are older but well maintained and clean. For very large groups, only have one inside meeting room but need to check with KOA to see if will meet size of your group. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Large laundry room but has limited hours. Within 2 miles of restaurants and shopping. Route 66 sites of interest with 4 miles. Our site had a nice roomy new patio just poured week earlier. However, the site had not been inspected to re-level and remove chunks of left over concrete before opening up for use. When notified, management immediately came to make temporary spot improvements to ensure safety when stepping out of camper. Offered to re-grade the spot but require us to unhook and move camper. We were part of an on-going rally so that was not a good option at the time. Would stay here again if in area. We camped at Kingman KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Don't miss Mr. D's Route 66 diner. Take your camera for memorabilia. Great food especially the floats! Take a peek at the restored classic car showroom next door.

Just an overnight stop for us and we thought $48 for 50 amp FHU at this 'Journey' KOA park was a bit much. We were told that there would be an escort to our site but after 5 minutes and no one around we parked ourselves with no problem. Was surprised to find a bag of dog poop that someone had forgotten at our picnic table and the KOA employees hadn't even picked up. After that it got better in that electric, wifi and cable worked great. The whole place is dirt and gravel with oleanders between sites. A mixed bag of permanents in trailers and in an area of warehouses and residential. We would stay somewhere else when passing through this area due to the price. We camped at Kingman KOA in a Motorhome.

We were here with a group that stayed two nights. It is a typical KOA with all the services. The site we were in was very narrow and almost too short for our 39-foot RV. The laundry was clean and in good shape with all the washers/dryers working. The campground sits among the residential area, so it is quiet, and easy to get to. The staff was friendly and escorts you to your site. If we are in the area, we would stay here again. We camped at Kingman KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here on our return trip from California because it was a KOA and, as we travel more, having a known quantity is increasingly important.
This park is located in a residential area of Kingman and was reasonably quiet. Service was outstanding, especially the young man who escorted us to our site. The park has a somewhat original layout with several mobile homes on the perimeter. Our site was large enough and the person who checked us in took care to give us the largest site. The escort made sure to show us the easiest way to enter the site. Restrooms and showers were fine. If we return to Kingman, this KOA will be our first call. We camped at Kingman KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Convenient to I-40 and I-15. Down side is traffic noise from I-15 is noticeable. Wifi OK. Cable very good. Level site and nice natural screening from oleander hedges. Seemed over-priced for a non-destination park. Plenty of diesel fuel stations nearby. We camped at Kingman KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Easy driving distance to Route 66 attractions and dining. Very friendly and helpful staff. Most sites are shaded, but longer sites for big motorhomes are very narrow. Beautiful flowering shrubbery help block out neighborhood and road traffic. Hot tub was broken but pool was nice. They lock down laundry at 9 p.m. with 7:30 p.m. deadline for starting last load, but at least that's better than some other places. Prefer campgrounds where laundry facilities are available at any time.

Clean, well-maintained gravel roads and sites, with full electric, water, and sewer hookups. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Kingman KOA in a Motorhome.

We had a long, level gravel pull thru with shrubs between sites for privacy and were escorted by a very friendly staff member. Utilities were very good and satellite access was not a problem. The park is north of the interstate and quiet. Good stopover for us. We camped at Kingman KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Facility is easy to get to just north of a residential area in Kingman, which makes the park very quiet. Flat, generally level sites that require minimal rig adjustment. Sites are pretty basic, gravel, which means that some small rocks will join you on your travels into the rig, but no big deal. Restrooms were very nice and clean. We haven't stayed at a lot of KOAs, so this one was really nice in comparison to other parks we've visited. Would definitely stay here again if traveling through this part of AZ. Tips for other Campers:

There is a decent Flying J/Pilot gas station in Kingman if you want to fuel up. Use the fuel station nearest the propane, which is on the far left. We got in and out with ease in our 30 foot motor home towing a jeep.
