Quiet park right in Lake Havasu. Sites are very level, lots of space between sites. You need to reserve early online as this place is usually full. If you are really lucky you can get a waterfront site that a private campground would charge you $90 for, but here the state park system is only charging you $35. Large white sand beach is the center of the park. No dogs allowed at the beach. Be prepared to get killed by mosquitos in the evenings especially near the lake. You will also enjoy nice shady trails and cactus garden. Every time you go in and out of the park, be prepared to wait behind others who are checking in, or getting a day pass. The biggest surprise to me was the size of the parking lot for boat trailer parking. It is the size of probably 3 walmart parking lots. Also remember as a courtesy to others, and only reserve a site length that is necessary for your camper. We saw 3 ft. long campers, and even tents using a 55 ft site when shorter sites were available. Large RV's can't get a reservation if small campers are using the long sites. We camped at Lake Havasu State Park in a Motorhome.

This park got a "make over" recently and is very nice. Many of the camping sites are some of the most spacious I have ever seen. Our site was right on a very wide beach but even the sites not on the beach would offer a great view of the lake. You could easily take your lawn chair down to the water without bothering anyone if you weren't staying on a lakeside site and save yourself $10 per night. Sites are all gravel, restrooms look nice. They are building a new boat ramp on one end of the park and there was construction noise during day and generators pumping water out at night. Recommend staying at other end of park until that is completed. We would definately stay here again. We camped at Lake Havasu State Park in a Motorhome.

After two nights we paid for another two. Friendly ranger in the office, typical setup for a State Park with paved roads giving you plenty of space to maneuver. Each site is paved, long and wide enough for big rigs with slideouts and awning, slightly sloping forward, the usual hookups with 50 amp power and water with enough pressure, nothing else, there is a dump station, I didn't try satellite but it seems to work as others had their dishes up. A few smaller trees spread throughout the park which is all gravel between sites an roads . A perfect view over the lake with beautiful sunsets. Washrooms are in painted concrete and clean, but there weren't many guests at this time. Close to town. We would stay again at this park when driving through but might as well try another one. We camped at Lake Havasu State Park in a Motorhome.

We were sorry we could spend only one night here. It is a lovely campground, located right on the shore of Lake Havasu. It was very quiet and pretty empty when we stayed on Dec. 14. We imagine it could get very crowded and noisy during the summer months. The grounds were clean, the sites spacious, and the location perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we really enjoyed our stay. We didn't use the restrooms or showers so can't comment on them. Sites are pretty level, and it was easy to get settled in. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Note: there is a multiple lane boat launch ramp being constructed very close to this campground, so it seems this campground could be hard to get into when it is boating season. The noise starts around 7 am, and not sure when the project will be complete. Just be aware of this potential issue. We camped at Lake Havasu State Park in a Motorhome.

Beautifully maintained park with enormous spaces fronting and nearing the lake. great walking trails and a very pretty nature garden nearby. The park is within walking distance of London Bridge. Bathrooms are old and decent, but everything else about park maintenance is stellar. Lots of gravel (it's the desert) everywhere that the dog didn't like much. Roads are paved, sites are level. Great value at $30 per night. Friendly park rangers!!! We camped at Lake Havasu State Park in a Motorhome.

Beautiful state park on Lake Havasu. Many of the sites are waterfront or waterview and you can watch boats speeding in and out of the channel. There is a small sand beach where some folks parked their kayaks when we were there. The rangers and volunteers were very cordial and helpful, keeping noise down in late evening, even capturing and relocating a large snake. We saw 4 large snakes while we were there, making their way from one overgrown area through campsites to a large wooded area on the water, stopping along the way to rest under people's RVs. When booking on-line, some sites look like they are on the water but it is that overgrown (cannot see the lake), snake infested area, so call to verify if that kind of thing bothers you (it did us). The hookups were good and each site had a nice wide paved area for your unit and vehicle. Interior roads were paved and most sites had a covered picnic table and fire pit. We camped at Lake Havasu State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Great location in Lake Havasu City and spacious sites. You're close to many amenities...short walk to the London Bridge and nice view of the lake! Didn't notice traffic noise but, some of the boats can get loud. Good Verizon reception and antenna TV. Some of the sites have the water and electric hook ups on the opposite side of your rig but, that wasn't a problem for us. There was a pack of coyotes that were roaming the campground and unfortunately, a small dog was snatched that had been left tied up while unattended. Never a good idea, especially in this part of the country! We camped at Lake Havasu State Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here 2 years ago before they added water and electrical for $20 per night. That means they upped the charge $15 per night for water and power,, not such a great deal in my mind. We talked about how much we liked the park the last 2 years but I think now if we are in the area again we will stay elsewhere. Still a nice park but not for the money. All good things come to an end with greed. We camped at Lake Havasu State Park in a Motorhome.

This park is well-located on the lakeshore. Sites are paved but surrounding area is dirt and rocks (desertscape). Water and electric service (50 amp) was very good. Our pull-through site (#4) was very easy in/out,quite level and had a fire ring and picnic table in the shade of a mesquite tree. No cable or Wi-Fi but Verizon signal was very strong. Bathrooms were old and in need of attention. $35 is a bit high in view of the lack of clean bathrooms and other amenities. Rangers were very friendly at check-in. Probably won't be back in this area but if we are we would consider staying here again. We camped at Lake Havasu State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice Lake! Nice view! We were about 200 ft away from the water. I only give 5 out of 10 rating due to the fact its just a place to park and get electric/water. That is actually pretty good for a state park, but higher ratings are for reserved for parks that offer more at comparable prices. If the park only charged $20, I'd say that would be a more fair price for what it offers. Again, nothing wrong with the park itself..clean bathrooms and showers. If you don't tow a vehicle, be sure to have bikes as there isn't any close places to go eat. You can walk, but if you go out for dinner, you may not want to walk all the way back...especially in the dark. There is a cut through that is a small bike path to help you out. There is also a boat ramp if you have a boat, right at the sites. Which also means it is loud during the day with boats go by...very loud at times. But again, all depends what you're there for. For us, it served it's purpose. Personally, I think they are a bit pricey for what they offer...comparable to other places we've been. We camped at Lake Havasu State Park in a Motorhome.

Wanted to report that water hookups for each campsite are now complete, which means that all sites now have electric and water! It was just finished last week. Views are great from this campground, but asphalt pads are crumbling and should be replaced, along with campground roads. Nice that sites are fairly well separated from one another--much better than commercial resort style parks nearby. I did hear some watercraft noise, but it went away as soon as it got dark. Good Verizon service in area. We camped at Lake Havasu State Park in a Motorhome.

This state park is just north of the London Bridge off 95 in Lake Havasu City and it is located right along the Colorado River. It is a very popular snowbird and spring break location. The sites don’t have electric but water can be found. It was in the mid 90’s when we stopped over and with no electric it was very hot even with the breeze from the river. There are 46 sites located along three roads. Some have a cabana over the picnic table and others do not. You can walk to the beach area and the river from the sites. In the park there are docks and ramps for boaters, trails, a nature trail, and a day use area with a beach. Boaters are on the river – private boats, water ski’s, jet skis and tour boats. Many are loud! It is a beautiful area and Lake Havasu City is only .5 away for shopping, restaurants, London Bridge etc. There was a notice that electric is coming but could not find the date or year when. We camped at Lake Havasu State Park in a Motorhome.
