This park is what I call a 'seasonal destination park' in that it has a very large number of events scheduled during the season (November - March). There are multiple pools, a cafe, regular happy hours in addition to crafts, billiards, and other activities intended to keep the residents busy. The park is very large and well organized. The staff & work campers were friendly and quite helpful.

Our space was very large and in good repair, however there was an overgrown citrus tree that made hooking up our electric a little prickly challenge.

Since we visited off season, it was quite laid back and there were few activities available. Please note, as Thousand Trails members, this was one of our Trails Collection 'free sites'. I only put $1 in the nightly rate because the system won't allow a zero. We camped at Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Great park. Just watch the electric hook up. We hooked into wrong 50amp plug and even though my surge protector read all good we blew the microwave and a real good small fan. We camped at Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

One of the huge snowbird parks in Mesa. Lots of mobile homes and park models. Lots of entertainment we didn't use, except pickleball. Gets more expensive every year. we stayed two month as before. good laundry, nice dryers, cheap. the rest of the infrastructure gets worse every year. in 8 weeks we had six times no water for hours. Everything else works but a lot is run down. Cable works but you have to find a pole with an available connection. Parking in many spots is a challenge for big rigs. we would go again if we can't find something else. Rate is monthly rate plus electric. We've been riding for over 2 years. We've already been in almost all the states but this place was the worst. We came here at 4:45 and to get our place took about 2 hours. The place where we parked our motorhome was cramped and very close to the others. There is no place for a walk with the dog. There is also no garbage container. To leave this place you need a lot of time and patience. There are no signs where the exit gate is . The price for the night is very overpriced in relation to what is offered. We will never stay overnight in this place. We camped at Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects monthly rate. This is a huge snowbird park with lots of amenities and activities, none of which I could take advantage of because I was here for medical reasons. It was very quiet and neighbors were friendly. Our street (K) was 95% RVs, while others have park models only. Wifi was very good. Water would shut off temporarily about once a week because some yahoo would drive over water lines. They broke their own refund policy to return about $600 when we able to leave earlier than planned. That earned our good will and we would return. We camped at Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Nice park but overpriced as far as I'm concerned. Selected this park due to the Encore affiliation expecting service and security. Granted I visited in Labor Day weekend but staff, office and security were minimal. Office closed for 3 1/2 days and security shut down every night just when you might think security would be most needed. That being said, there were two pools, two spas, major cable tv, free wifi (didn't use though), library, meeting hall, dog runs (absolutely no shade) Park has an eleven page set of rules. Pets are welcome but again strict rules (the first time I have encountered a 5 ft leash rule) and a potential $50 fine for failure to register your pet with the office (hard to do when you only find out about it in the registration information packet and you go to the office only to find it closed). Parking pads are either gravel or asphalt and were level. Most sites are back in. Park is about 50% park models. We camped at Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

We were with a group of 8 rigs, both motorhomes and 5ers. We were parked together in a quiet area. Upon arrival we were escorted to our sites and later visited by the hospitality crew with maps, information and cookies. The staff was excellent helping with our needs. We used a meeting room for three nights at no extra charge. The entrance off of Main is a little tricky if you are making a right turn as there is an island just after you turn in. The guard station was not always manned. We would definitely return, especially if we had a group. We camped at Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Access to the park is only via Main Street and can be very tight for a big rig, we are a 40' 5er. Staff escorts you to your site. Neighbors are 8-10' on either side. Most landscaping was tall palm trees that can cause tight maneuvering. Scheduling the site was a real hassle due to staffing problems. There are over 1600 rv sites and lots of concrete. Staff was friendly. Laundry was acceptable, good value, and pretty clean. We stayed here for an rv inspection week long class but otherwise would not return. Just not our preferred type of Park. Their Internet was more than acceptable but most snowbirds had already left. The street noise on Lindsay is loud, ear plugs and sound machine necessary. Reservations are a joke. It's basically first come, first served. Despite making a site specific reservation (and confirming that reservation) we were moved as far away from our large group as possible. Attitude was, too bad, so sad, we're full. Site they gave us was in a park model storage area, cigarette butts all over, open sewer next to us, and trucks, boats and cars stored on the other side. Metal sticking up out of the cracked concrete. We will be going back to Mesa, just not this park. We camped at Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed at this park several times over the past 10 years, including two winters as snowbirds. Facilities are still in good shape and, as others have said, there are a lot of activities. It does seem that there are more management/staff problems since the change in ownership a few years ago. I made reservations two months in advance for sites for us and a friend. They asked the size of our rigs; they said they could not get us real close together but we would not be too far apart; they gave me the site numbers. When we arrived, their computer showed we had both been moved to different sites, very far apart, and neither one was long enough to accommodate our 38 and 40 foot rigs. The clerk blamed the central corporate reservation system. After about 45 minutes and the intervention of a supervisor, they did find us spaces that were large enough. Bad part was we were along one of the streets bordering the part, where there is very loud traffic noise. The lady checking in ahead of us had a similar problem, re-assigned far from the group she was with. The clerk told her there are certain things you need to say so the reservation is coded in the computer so that the site will not be changed. She also said it is better to call the park direct rather than the central number. Of course, that is what I had done, and we still had a problem. Hugh (1800 sites) RV Park in the middle of town. Easy check in, nice personnel. Even had a knock at our door with a welcoming committee. That was a first. Every activity and amenity you can image. The park was a hugh maze. Was convient for why we were in the area. Expensive for short term stays. Would stay again for a day or two. Office staff was friendly and helpful. We were guided to site R-18, and assisted with backing into the site. Park the RV on gravel with concrete patio and space for parking towed or tow vehicle. CTV, utility connections close at hand. There are many activities available within the park and some group events scheduled outside. Streets are narrow and parking is restricted (some resident don't agree). Residents vary, in attitude and friendliness, north to south and west to east. Our stay was okay, maneuvering with a big rig is problematic, we won't be returning. We camped at Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

You will find many different grocery outlets within a few minutes, any direction from the park. Fuel prices were within a penny, everywhere. The park is like a maize and even with a map is difficult to navigate.

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

The rate of $22 per day is based on the monthly rate we paid for 30-days between March 14-April 14, 2016. This is a huge "snowbird park" in Mesa and this was our 8th or 9th year staying in the park during spring training. The park is probably 50-50 between park models and wheeled RVs. Most of the sites are at least 40' long (gravel) with concrete patios. Toads and tow vehicles are parked on an adjacent patio extension. The vast majority of the sites are back-in with a small number of pull-thrus. Most of the pull-thru sites are asphalt with maybe half-a-dozen dirt. Each site is full hookup with 20/30/50 amp, water, sewer, cable and wifi. Electric is included in the daily/weekly rate and is metered with the monthly rate. The wifi is just ok due to the load. Satellite TV users will have a clear view of the sky. An RV may find itself parked next to another RV or a park model. Most of the sites are pretty close together although some are wider than they are deep (called 'casitas'). The park provides parking assistance due to the close quarters. The streets are paved and in good repair. The biggest rigs will have no problem navigating the turns. Each site has a mailbox and residents can have mail sent to their site. (the office says they will not accept or hold mail or packages). During our stay we had packages delivered by UPS and FedEx.
Pets are permitted but only in some areas of the park although you can walk your dog anywhere in the park. There are about half a dozen pet exercise areas most of them small but there is a huge fenced pet area in the NW corner of the park. The park has multiple pools, shower houses and laundry facilities all of which are 1st class. There is a large rec area with pool tables, card rooms and all sorts of organized activities during snowbird season. The staff and most of the seasonal/year round residents are friendly and helpful. The park is located very close to all sorts of shopping and services. We camped at Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Rate was based on staying more than 30 days. Electricity is charged separately. Flat, level, gravel, back in site. I was in the dog section. Each site has a concrete patio to park on. There are no tables or other services provided. WI-FI was free and the speed depended on the time of day it was used. Laundry rooms were large and clean. There are many activities available if you wish to participate. The park was relatively noisy due to sirens and traffic on surrounding roads. The park was convenient to visit spring training baseball stadiums. We camped at Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Rate reflects yearly 3,000 payment decided by 365 days. We required a home base for our trailer as we travelled weeks at a time. A week after we signed for the year, the owner sold to Thousand Trails and the overall experience at this 1400+ rv "resort" took a step down overall. Almost all of the "workampers" did not return for 2016 due to mgmt issues with pay and work schedules. There are two very nice pools and four hot tubs in the main clubhouse area. About every ten days the water in the park would be shut down without warning for about 30 mins or so.

Every Sat morning there is a wonderful and large craft bazar and a very popular and largely attended Bingo that same night. The main clubhouse cafe served many lunches and dinners during the week that were of good quality and reasonably priced.

There are many and very well maintained shuffle boards and about 16 immaculate pool tables at the main clubhouse. Very good wifi and cable as well. We camped at Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.
