This is definitely a park model resort that happens to have a few RV spaces. Within minutes of arriving, the "welcoming" guy came by, and within minutes so had most of the "neighbors". We were invited to come by to visit, but we never felt obligated. The facilities are clean and incredible, we even bought a pickleball set to take advantage of the spotless, and lighted courts. The pools are beautiful, with waterfalls adding a delightful ambiance. Fruit trees abound, and just ask to pick for free. Rates will drop dramatically as the park thins out in April...but it can sure get hot then. We loved being able to walk on a dedicated walkway to a nice Safeway food store, and a strip center with a variety of shops. Great dog park, exercise room was crowded at times...and hot. No cable on-site, but lots of digital channels. No Wi-Fi at the sites, just main public buildings. We camped at Monte Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

When making a reservation, book direct (for correct placement) if you have a larger rig. Turning left into the park is a bit easier than a right-hand turn from Baseline. If you have a tag axle that can lift, you'll be using that feature at this park to navigate and back in. If your front step deploys automatically, make sure the bottom of the step can clear the concrete pad that is next to the gravel. Make sure your bicycles have lights, the park requires their use after dark.

I have stayed as this beautiful park twice now. This thing is beautiful and massive. It really is more of a park model home resort and filled with tons of Snowbirds. Dont let that stop you. Plenty of places for your RV and the amenities are wonderful, the neighbors are very welcoming and friendly! Two large grocery stores, nice club house. lots of activities if you are going to stay for a few days. The sites are gravel and you have to back in but plenty of room and a cement pad for your tow vehicle. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. I will use it again on my next road trip. We camped at Monte Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

First off, I wouldn't consider this an RV park, it's more a park model resort that allows an occasional RV to join them. We parked between 2 park models in a back-in. There are no pull throughs in this resort. It was 116 in the sun, so all we did was unhook and go to the pool...twice in the pool, which was absolutely beautiful. There are two pools and a beautiful hot tub with waterfalls. The grounds around the pool were beautiful! Water pressure was great, 50 amp service and no cable, but we got 75 channels on the antenna. We arrived on a Sunday and the office wasn't open but security told us a site to go to and said we could check-in (and out) in the morning. The office opened promptly and was very quick to process us. The rates had gone down June 1st, so with Passport America we got a rate of $23 plus resort fee and taxes, totaling $30.78. There were no trees at our site and all it was was gravel and not the easiest spot to back in to because of a post. We camped at Monte Vista RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice amenities and lots of scheduled activities (I took advantage of scheduled road bike rides). Many Canadians wintering here. Well taken care with good freeway access and nearby restaurants and shopping. We camped at Monte Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Check out the Apache Trail, which winds up the Salt River Canyon out of Apache Junction past Canyon Lake up to Tortilla Flat. Keep going if you don't mind steep dirt road with twists, turns, and blind corners. Fish Creek Hill is exciting and we saw Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep!

Overall Rating:

Very large park, mostly cute, well kept park models with each street having a couple RV spots. The spots consist of gravel for the RV, with hookups in back; concrete pad for your vehicle/table/chairs, etc.
-very clean place
-large dog park
-lots of amenities (24hr fitness center, lapidary shop, woodworking shop, pottery, and more. Tennis, pickle ball, lawn bowling, softball field. Cafe. Billiards. Library)
-dry sauna in the bathrooms
-2 large pools & a hottub with waterfalls (kids are only allowed in 1 pool)
-walking path & lounging area in the desert, nestled under shade of mesquite trees

We were here during the off season so we pretty much had the place to ourselves and rarely saw others. We have 2 small children and wondered if we were there during the winter, if we would be welcome or not as it is more of an adult community. But we sure enjoyed the place and all it had to offer! We camped at Monte Vista RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Great RV Park. Super nice pool areas, lots of activities. Two large grocery stores walking distance. Internet very good at the club house. Staff very friendly. You have to pay extra for garbage, recycling and electric and water when doing the one month. On the other hand no resort fee. 10% off with TT membership since this is an Encore. Recommended! Overall Rating:

This has been the worst parks we've stayed in for some time. Very expensive ($53.42 x 16 nights) with poor services. A back-in gravel pad with deep tire ruts from the last person who sunk in, poorly placed services that we could barely reach, and full trashcans not due to be emptied for another week (2 weeks for recycle). The site was barren gravel with no grass, patio, or table. If we were not here to visit friends who just bought a park model here, I'd would have moved on upon seeing the site. We camped at Monte Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Mostly park models with a few rv sites mixed in. We liked this park, it as quiet and the sites were very big. The hook-ups all worked well but it was hard to determine which water hook-up went with the site. Very friendly neighbors and staff. Nice roads but are a little narrow for maneuvering into back in sites if you have a large rig but doable. We camped at Monte Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Level gravel sites. A friendly mix of park models & RV sites. Attractive pueblo-style buildings. Clear pool with waterfalls and soft music. We rode our bikes to the grocery store along the convenient path, and around the safe park streets each evening. We will stop here again. We camped at Monte Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This place is massive, a real village, and with that comes all kind of amenities. (2 pools, water aerobics, golf, horse shoes, pottery & jewelry making classes.) The sites were very large, enough room to have our towed car next to the rig, once we unhitched. The park was clean and quiet, the residents were friendly to those passing through, even offered free lemons from their tree. The park was convenient to downtown, and had a shopping center next door (grocery, restaurant, etc.). We camped at Monte Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

TTN Guest Rate. This is a fantastic destination resort with RV visitor spaces mixed in with many park model sites. Staff and neighbors are super friendly, there are amenities and activities to boggle the mind. Pools, hot tubs, spas, restrooms and showers are spotless. Laundry on site. Restaurants on site. Sports activities. Gym equipment and programs for fitness and health. There are more bicycles than golf carts in this community. Sites are large enough but rigs must be parked on the crushed rock and tow vehicles and tods must park on the concrete pads. Each site was designed to accommodate a park model and additions. Utilities are convenient at the rear of each site. All streets are paved with room enough to maneuver for parking and backing off the street. You will find a golf cage, tennis courts, shuffleboard, croquet, horseshoes, putting green, billiards, lapidary shop, ceramic room, silversmith shop, wood shop, music room, art room and much more. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area. We camped at Monte Vista RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
