Park is in fact a retirement village with 20 RV sites. Sites are wide concrete slabs with a paver patio. Plenty of room for a big rig and toad. Each site has some shade trees. The park is a large spiderweb of roads but thr RV area is very close to the entrance and easy in and out. One problem is a tree over growing the exit which brushes your rig on leaving - fortunately its branches are soft and we saw no scratches afterward. Wi-Fi is good but you have to go through an elaborate process to connect the first time. Location is good and you can be in downtown Phoenix in a half hour. Our site was at the end and therefore we had a nice patch of grass adjoining our site. Since it was already summer so many seasonal residents had left it seems like your staying in the center of a ghost town which is good if you want the whole place and its amenities to yourself. We camped at Venture Out (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

The park is immaculate. 24 hour on site security, easy in and out. Site was concrete pad. Great water pressure. The staff was very helpful. When my WiFi would not connect they sent a young man who had it up and running in 5 minutes. Would stay here again. We camped at Venture Out (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Venture Out is not a RV Resort. It is a 55+ retirement community made up of approximately 1500 Park Models with 20 overnight RV sites. Half are backin half are pullthrough sites. The sites are adequate but not very large with nice landscaping between sites. All sites are concrete with a good sized paver brick patio area. There are NO fire pits or picnic tables on the sites. All sites are next to the "Pickle Ball" courts with it's constant noise from early morning to early evening. The utilities are all grouped together on the rear third of the site. There is 48 channel grainy analog cable available and very good OTA reception with approximately 55 channels. The wifi can only be accessed by reconfiguring your computers IP address to match their very much outdated router. If you are not very computer literate you need to bring your own wifi. The parks system is dialup slow. The park is very clean and everyone we met was extremely friendly, however that still does not justify the excessive cost of $68 a night for a pullthrough site. We camped at Venture Out (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Shopping, groceries, and restaurants are close by. If you plan on going to a pre-season baseball game they are all on the other side of Phoenix about 40 miles and 1+ hours drive away. Traffic in the greater Phoenix area is heavy with many road delays.

We stayed in a large pull-through. Concrete pad and large paving stone patios. Nice landscaping. Sites are angled so neighbours are not on top of you. Convenient bath house with showers if needed. Lots of activities. Two nice pools. People are very friendly and welcoming. There is a park host to give info and make you welcome. Laundry across the street. We camped at Venture Out (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a very friendly welcoming RV park in Mesa. The restrooms and showers were wonderful. Very secure and wonderful for biking and walking to everything. Lots to do. We will be back. Maybe next time we will rent one of the park model trailers. We camped at Venture Out (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

The short term sites are extremely tight and unattractive. This is primarily a park with 1,700 owner occupied park models. The overnight area is not suitable for the large units now wishing to utilize the space. I believe the sites are approximately 15 feet wide. Units with slides on both sides would likely have trouble finding a site. Having said this, we did not choose this park for the parking area but rather for the vast array of activities and great recreation center. There is no reason not to stay busy all day if you wish, or simply lounge around either of the two beautiful pools or spas. Everything is immaculate, staff is helpful, security is 24/7. The fencing all around shields one from traffic noise. Shopping is close and convenient. The laundry, bath house, office and many of the recreation opportunities are a short walk from the short term parking area. Since this is basically an owner occupied park one must join a club and pay dues for each activity. For instance, I wanted to use Wi Fi but this is a club requiring ridiculous orientation instructions on what a floppy disk is and how to send a print job. This orientation is provided only Tuesday and Thursday so this means you aren't given the WiFi code until after this time. I didn't want to use their computers, printers, etc. but was required to attend the orientation before I could use my own laptop on the table outside the building to access the internet. Your best option for a longer stay would be to rent one of the individually owned sites elsewhere in the park if having a roomier site is important to you. I will stay at this park again but I will attempt to find a site away from the short term area. There are over 1,700 sites so nearly always something available from an owner. We camped at Venture Out (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.
