Only negative on this park was my site was very tight. If there was another RV in the spot in front of me I wouldn't have been able to get out of my site. Had a light pole on one side and an orange tree on the other. Now for the good park was very clean and the grounds were great. Hook ups work but were not convenient, had to crawl under rig to hook up water. very nice pool and hot tube. Had a very large patio and spaces between units was very large. We camped at Viewpoint RV & Golf Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Great for dogs!! Two huge football field size grassy areas. The one with new trees is not fenced and must be on leash. Second site, also huge, can be off leash if you can control. Then a big fenced area with benches, trees, grass for off leash. All three areas provide poop bags.

The laundry was a hassle. The machines take a card that u buy for $5, $10 or $20 plus a $3 fee for the card. I asked the gals if I could pay them for the use of their card as we were leaving the next day.

When we arrived an employee at the toll booth told us our site number and said goodbye--no map, no activities calendar, no list of amenities. We were referred to members services, which is closed on weekend, and we were only staying for the weekend. Caters to full-time residents. Those of us RVers were parked on the perimeter of the park, close to the noisy road.

Very expensive for little service. Wouldn't stay here again. Short term is given the sites on the perimeter next to a busy road. The noise didn't bother us but it was noticeable. We camped at Viewpoint RV & Golf Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

We reserved for a one month stay and paid by phone what we were told would be the price plus electric. Upon our arrival, for some reason they parked us between two vacant park models in a spot that was somewhat difficult to navigate, as well as the most inconvenient sewer placement others have described. We had to call the rover back to help us locate our water -- which was actually behind the park model on the other side, requiring lots of hose. Staff was less than friendly, and no one offered to show us around this huge resort. Since we arrived on the weekend, we were shocked to learn upon check-in that we actually owed another almost $300 additional for trash, electric deposit, sewer, water, and $30 each for two dogs. Dog areas smelled and both of our dogs got diarrhea causing us to incur vet bills on top of the steep dog fee. Fireworks are apparently legal in Mesa, and the neighborhood behind us was most disrespectful the days leading up to New Years. Our 8-1/2 year-old dog had never feared fireworks until now. Prior to the end of our month, we inquired about staying on until the date when we had another commitment. We were advised that we would have to leave three or four days prior to that since someone else had reserved our exact site although there were dozens of empty RV sites at the time. Given that we did not extend for a full month, it seems unfair that we were charged a daily rate but they failed to read the electric and water and trash at the end of our paid month, so we were charged additional. No weekend office hours created a huge problem for us upon departure since we wanted to know our electric costs, and learned that a packaged that had been delivered on Friday would not fit into our mailbox and we were unable to access it, and by Monday we would be over an hour away without a good forwarding address for a couple of weeks. There are some nice features in the park but, given the manner in which we were treated, we will not return. We camped at Viewpoint RV & Golf Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful Park Model and RV park that is set up for long term stays. There are a few pull-through, full hookup sites in front of the office for a temporary overnight stay. The other RV sites are all a 90'degree back-in off a narrow road. Once you are finally set up it is good to stay awhile. Note that office is only open Monday-Friday with limited hours so make reservations accordingly. However there is a guard at the entrance 24/7.
Check-in staff at the office is friendly but busy so allow extra time. This park has 3 swimming pools, a great workout room, and several spacious laundry rooms. Everything is modern and clean. There are also golf courses and many activities during the winter season. This park has a huge, grass, fenced dog park - the largest of any park in Mesa. It is the highlight of our dog's trip. We stay here any chance we get even if it is just for a few days. We camped at Viewpoint RV & Golf Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

This is a big park, mostly park models with some RV sites in the front and pull through in the back. We arrived on a weekend, (office was closed) and were greeted by a guard at front of park. He was friendly and welcoming. He directed us to a back in right around the corner. When we got there, we saw a concrete pad and a gravel area. Due to the placement of the sewer (it was smack in the middle of the gravel area) we weren't sure if we should back in there because if we did, the sewer would be under the rv between the back wheels! We went back to guard, who now was a nice woman and she informed us that we would have to hook up the sewer line BEFORE we backed in, then back over it! She offered to let us take one of the pull throughs in the back of the park stating the sewer hookup was back further so we did. Due to the time of the year, the park was really empty. We received no instructions, map, or receipt for stay, and were not told to stop at the office on Monday to "check-in". I didn't even see the office until monday when I went to do laundry. The machines had card slots. Great, no coins needed! Used my debit, kept getting "error". Tried 2 other charge cards- "error". That's when I found the office! Nice ladies there, explained to me I needed to purchase a card to do laundry. When I expressed frustration in not getting any of this info upon arrival, they were like, "oh, you have to check in here!". 2 days later. Really poor system for weekend entries. Otherwise, park is clean, manicured, sites are good sized and level. Very nice BBQ area between 2 pools. Laundry room is big, bright and clean and easy to use once we bought the laundry card! I imagine this is a very busy place during winter season. Value was pricy for this time of year. Would most likely stay elsewhere on our next trip through this area. We camped at Viewpoint RV & Golf Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

We spent the winter December 2015 to April 2016 in Viewpoint RV Resort. First the good and there is plenty to like. The park is clean especially the common facilities like the gym and washrooms. If you are a golfer or a tennis player this resort is a great choice. There are two golf courses, a championship 18 hole and an executive 9 hole not directly associated with the park but they do offer a small discount to park residents. Tennis is huge here with tennis instruction mostly given by volunteer players with pros brought in on a regular basis. All the organization, court cleaning and maintenance is done by park volunteers without those volunteers and they do a good job so the park owners (Encore)get off pretty cheap. I could go on but I only have 2000 characters. The site we had was an upgraded (Elite) site with a shed and we really could not complain about the site it was awesome ! We even had a small garden !

As far as park maintenance goes I rarely saw anyone other than the cleaning staff doing anything to maintain the park. Trees were never touched as fruit fell and rotted beneath the trees.

Security is a joke, again it's mostly run by volunteers and I give them props for doing what they can but once again Encore gets off cheap. We were first assigned to the 4200 block and promptly got a golf ball through our RV window from the Executive course which parallels 4200 street. We found out later

that everyone there knew that RV's were routinely hit by errant golf balls but Encore failed to mention that to us.

When you compare Encore vs CalAm parks CalAm are way better managed and offer way more to their guests, Encore are not even on the same planet when you see what CalAm offers. This year is a CalAm resort for us. But we met tons of great people at Viewpoint and the RV site was amazing but it's just not a good enough reason to want to return. We camped at Viewpoint RV & Golf Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

We have been staying here for the past seven years for a few weeks at a time. It used to be beautiful; the grounds used to be well-maintained; the staff used to be friendly; the activities used to be abundant; and the prices used to be comparable. A different company now manages the park, and everything mentioned above has gone downhill, except for the prices, which have gone up. The golf course greens are brown. The dog parks grass is brown. (Both used to be lush and green.) The foliage in the park--a little orange tree at every site--is overgrown and not maintained, impeding the parking spot at each site (unless you don't mind scratching up the side of your vehicle as you park it). Even when checking in, the office staff was curt, almost to the point of being rude. The positives: the sites are wide and are fairly level. The rv pad is gravel, but there is a concrete pad at each site for parking a tow or extra vehicle. The park does have a few pools and hot tubs as well as various game courts. In a nutshell, a place where we had once considered to be a great possibility for retirement is no longer in the running, and if we did not have family members so close, we would not stay here. We camped at Viewpoint RV & Golf Resort (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

This is basically a park model jungle with a few motorhome spots mixed in. The "motorhome" spots are located at the North end, in the back. I gave this park such a low score because of the unbelievably placed utilities! The placement of the utilities indicates that the "motorhome"section is an "undeveloped" park model section. We have a 42' motorcoach and the sewer connection was literally between our duals in the middle of the coach underneath it. Backing in created quite a challenge as we had to avoid the sewer connection, the water connection and the orange bush that they had planted in front of the lot right where you are trying to back in and right where your door would open for a diesel pusher. Luckily, a neighbor with some snips came to our rescue. He apparently had a similar situation backing in and had purchased some snippers to cut back the orange bush that threatened to scratch our coach. What a nightmare. I can back my husband into most anything, but this was like trying to thread a needle due to the multiple obstacles. I checked out the rest of the park and the pool and hot tub at the north end were quite nice. There was a huge laundry room and work out room. Bathrooms were clean. I did not check out the showers. Lots of "hobby" rooms, ceramics, quilting, silversmithing, library etc. in the main building. All were quite nice. A lot of people apparently return here every year to this park and like it... but when I queried the park staff about the sewer connection, and other odd placement of utilities, they stated that people who returned each year placed their sewer hoses prior to backing in? I am not sure how they accomplished that. But... It doesn't matter. We elected to leave early, without a refund. We will not ever return to this park. A lot of other people enjoy it, however, it was not for us. We camped at Viewpoint RV & Golf Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects a Passport America discount. This is our second stay at this park and enjoyed it again as much as the first time. This year we were assigned a spot near the front of the park on a street with about 75% park models and 25% RV slots, but everyone was friendly. It is true that backing in can be a challenge due to the orange bush at every site but one of the of the park employees directed us in like a pro so no issue for us. Also, once you are in you are in, so not sure why one of the other reviewers would leave early due to the challenge getting in. The multiple pools and hot tubs are great as are the dog parks within the park. We will come back again. We camped at Viewpoint RV & Golf Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

This park was great - rate reflects "ready camp go" rate. Stated as a 55+ park but they allow up to 20% under 55+ which meant we could stay ;). As stated in another review, when they found out we had a dog, they gave us a site near one of the 2 dog walk areas. We had a huge back-in site with a concrete pad big enough for a car and a porch area. The pools are very well kept as is the exercise room and hot tubs. They even have a nice dry sauna... Nice park with a few asphalt pull throughs. We opted for a back-in spot. Fairly easy to back in with no neighbors, but not so sure if spots were occupied. Near a busy road, so a little road noise. Wi-Fi was adequate. Wonderful large grassy dog park. Friendly staff. Price is Passport America. We camped at Viewpoint RV & Golf Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

The staff was great. When they found out we had pets, they gave us a site near the dog walk area. It was good that we were close because it is a really large facility and walking to the dog walk in the heat would have been too hard. Most of the sites are reserved for park models. There are some pull through sites in a parking lot. We stayed in a back in site. The sites are large with concrete pads for a porch area. The wireless internet worked well. The cable TV was good. The people at the gate were very friendly. The fellow that escorted us to the site was very helpful. We camped at Viewpoint RV & Golf Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Nice park with good facilities. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only pull throughs were in parking lot across from office so no place for chairs, grill, or sitting outside. Noisy in the mornings and at times in evening. Lots of things to do. We camped at Viewpoint RV & Golf Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful-looking park that would get a high score in it wasn't for the ridiculous charges and the inefficient front desk staff. Our PA book said the regular rate was $46 but the Park said $59, surprise! Then they add a $3 resort fee, taxes, WiFi, and other petty fees. Even with the 1/2 PA rate (only for off-season, 3 nights), and just the resort fee and tax, it was almost $38; not a great deal, especially for an unlevel site on a busy street, next to a park model with the AC running all day right next to your door. Hookups were so far back we couldn't use the sewer or water. Cable TV had many channels, though not a sharp picture. Nicest facilities are over in Northpoint, so you might want that side. Better yet, don't come at all, let the park model rich people have it. We camped at Viewpoint RV & Golf Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

We were here for a convention so price reflects a discounted group rate. This is a HUGE and nice park in many ways: very large sites with your own patio, tons of amenities, wide streets, well kept, electric and cable TV were excellent and had a friendly staff. There are some negatives: WiFi was not working, added daily $3 resort fee for short stays, hookups in the rear of the sites, no picnic tables nor shade, and small trees with spikes are at the entry of every back-in site. Has many park models except for the remaining area for RVs and this is a snowbirders park. It was a great space for a convention with a huge Activity Center/ Ballroom. Not sure I would recommend it for a short stay. We camped at Viewpoint RV & Golf Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.
