We went from Flagstaff, stopped here in the Pheonix area, then went on to Blythe CA on the Colorado (boarder with Arizona). This was suppose to be a short layover but we loved the park. The site we had was right across from the lovely large, clean, well landscaped pool. The sites themselves are pretty small and nothing exciting but the pool is lovely. Good trees, birds and burrows come through during the night to eat the grass. The lake is right at the park but we did not go out on it. The staff make things very nice. During the week in April, there was no one around. We would stay again. It is easy off the highway just north of Phoenix. Wifi, verizon TV all good. The exit has all your basic needs but the park is a few miles out of that rush area. We camped at Pleasant Harbor RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Hard to get in the main area due to long term/permanent residents. Overflow partial hook ups, elec and water only, are in the dirt about 1/4 mile from clubhouse, restrooms, store, etc. this area is also for dry campers, of which there are a lot. This is an off highway vehicle idea spot as indicated by the large number of them running around and parked everywhere. The sites are dusty, there is a lot of noise from generators, vehicles coming and going, noisy campfire parties late into the night. Not a relaxing full service RV resort experience. We camped at Pleasant Harbor RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is not an RV "Resort." It is a trailer park with very few amenities. The park is owned by a water district & management could care less about upgrading the park or residents & guests following the rules. The appearance & overall quality has deteriorated significantly since we stayed there. They do nothing to make you want to return as a guest, & if you are a permanent resident, you may be moved numerous times to accommodate other guests for unknown & unexplainable reason(s). We camped at Pleasant Harbor RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a great value for overnight dry camping in a secure lot well lit. short walk to lake. great restaurant on dock with shuttle service. Diesel and gas pump with excellent access. Also can get electric and water hookup overlooking lake for a modest fee but must unhook. We camped at Pleasant Harbor RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very crowded sites. No cable. Some full time residents, many sites very cluttered. Our neighbor had lived there for 4 years and their trash was coming under the chain link fence into our site. Quiet time (barking dogs, extremely loud neighbors and people drinking and partying until midnight) and dogs on leash not observed by all guests (which can turn very badly in seconds). Many nights people were drinking and loud until midnight. Washing machines were ok, but had to keep feeding quarters into dryers as they took forever to dry clothes. Wireless worked at first, had wind and rain one night, wireless was out for 4 days. Water pressure was not enough for our on demand hot water heater to get hot water in bathroom sink. Called office twice and were told someone would come check it out, nobody showed up. Website says they have security, but never saw a security vehicle, so might just be person in the booth that collects money since the park is open to the public. Stayed 2 weeks instead of the 3 months we reserved. Emailed park about being refunded $45 cancellation fee since our visit was terrible, and they knew that. In my opinion , they don't care to make any changes to make people's visit more enjoyable. Most businesses care about keeping their customers happy. We were told that they put a copy of our email in our records, in case we ever try to make a reservation there again. Not good customer service in my book. We camped at Pleasant Harbor RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stay here for events on the lake. We stay in the temporary sites which are dusty when dry and muddy when it rains. The temporary sites are small but there are lots of places to park nearby. We camped at Pleasant Harbor RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We camped here for a month in a large back-in site and were disappointed with the park as a whole. The sites are marked off with ugly chain linked fencing. How Good Sams can rate this park a 9.5, I will never know. The sites are laid out poorly with all services in the back of the site. Then the ground is a "cray" material that makes a mess of everything, especially when it rains. The park does not have Cable TV of all things, however it's wifi was ok. The pool/hot tub was nice but the locking system weird. This park appeared to cater more to full-time living residences (90%) than true RV'ers (10%) and it was very difficult to actually meet RV'ers. The amount of "stuff" people crammed onto their lots was sad and messy. The lake is a good walk (1.5 miles) and the sites out there with fewer services have the best views and no fencing to contend with. The only reason to come back here is if I brought my boat. We camped at Pleasant Harbor RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Lake Pleasant is 1.5 miles away and very nice. However, all services you can expect a 15 mile drive minimum (i.e.WalMart, Frys,) It's quiet at night except for the coyotes.

This park is beautiful. Large, roomy sights. There are some sites where people live year round that need to be cleaned up. A lot of junk in some sites. The staff is friendly and there are a lot of activities to enjoy. We camped at Pleasant Harbor RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sites were wide enough for a vehicle to park next to the RV. Had a picnic table as well. Facilities were excellent overall! Pool and hot tub were well maintained and never crowded. Dog park was probably the best we have experienced. Overall, it is an excellent experience. Many of the people there stay for the season, and make reservations for next yer the day they arrive. The temporary lot was packed with people waiting for a space to open up. Internet connectivity was intermittent, and was probably the only issue there. Would definitely stay there again! We must be at the wrong park. There may be people here full time, but it would be expensive to stay here. The rate is Good Sams. The people who stay here for the winter come with their boats and ATVs. The lake is huge at 8,000+ acres. So are the fish. We ate at Dillions built entirely on floats including the marina! They squeezed us into one of the few pull throughs for 2 nights so we could visit w/friends in Sun City. The pool is great and they have a very nice dog park with w/grass. The sites may seem small because they are fenced in. Well definitely stay here again and hire a fishing guide and go fishing when we come to visit. Overall Rating:

This is kind of an unusual park. There is an area with full hook-ups with no view of the lake, and then there is area with water and electric only that has great views of the lake. We stayed in the latter, and my husband said that it looked like a military parade ground. Just a big flat sandy area with hook-ups sticking out of the ground. This must not be their busy season, because I think there were only about 5 other RV's out where we were. As other reviewers have said, it's about a 15 minute drive to any gas stations/restaurants. We saw "evidence" of the wild burros, but never actually got to see one in person. I don't think we would stay there again. It's close enough to the Phoenix metro area that you could easily find a better park there. We camped at Pleasant Harbor RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Pleasant Harbor is a great facility that is going in the wrong direction. Our last visit was the first time we have stayed in one of the smaller lots in the center of the park. It appears that the resort is deteriorating into a low income housing campground. Dogs are locked in campers while the owners are at work, or left penned up or tied up outside at night. Multiple lots had families raising children. The general appearance of the lots has deteriorated. The recent change in management accelerated the transition from resort to campground. We camped at Pleasant Harbor RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

The best thing this resort has going for it is the lake. The pool and public areas are very nice. Office staff was marginally friendly. Wi-fi is not usable. The sites are very close and small. The majority of the sites are filled with seasonal and full-time residents. They have brought with them all the toys you can possibly cram into their sites. On the weekend the lake will be over-run with hundreds of boats. Wild burros are a charming addition to the property. We camped at Pleasant Harbor RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

The largest majority of sites seemed to be where people were living full time as they had permanent fixtures on their lots. We were told there was only one site available - one with water and electric only. It was next to a site that was completely covered with clutter and toys and had overflowed onto the site we were to take. The lady waded through a path to move her truck so we could pull in. We called the office and said the site was unacceptable. We were then told there were two others we could choose from. Since we did not have sewer, we used their showers which were clean but the fixtures were very badly corroded and only lukewarm water going quickly to cold. Dogs seemed to have freedom to roam and no leash law was enforced. For the price, we were very disappointed and would have been better off in the county park. We camped at Pleasant Harbor RV Resort in a Motorhome.
