This campground suited our basic needs while in Phoenix. It is not a resort, but convenient to many local attractions. They say they have 50 AMP, but we couldn't find one empty site that had it. We stayed in in early Spring, so AC wasn't vital. If we needed 50 AMP, we would find another place. The main downside was the check-in. The hotel guests get priority, so be prepared to wait a while if you check in at a busy time. We camped at Valley of the Sun RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is behind a Days Inn which apparently took over a Ramada Inn. The park is as described in other reviews: older and in need of some work, nothing fancy. But, that being said, the park was clean, and I only saw one permanent site that should have been removed. There are few 50 amp sites, and those are really suggested for the Arizona area. We were here for spring training and to visit family so we found the park to be acceptable and safe. We will certainly return. We camped at Valley of the Sun RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Great location for at least 3 spring training parks (Peoria, Glendale, Sun City). Shopping nearby is excellent and in the Arrowhead section of Peoria there are some very fine restaurants.

The best thing that can be said about this park is that it is a few miles from Spring Training Baseball in Peoria. The park is behind the Ramada Inn Hotel and is the poor sister to the hotel. A few shade trees but none close to us, worn out paved roads and gravel barren hook-up sites. It looks like no one cares about upkeep. The weeds are tall and we didn't go into the bathrooms because I figured if you can't trim the weeds you probably won't have great bathrooms. A fine parking lot with older hook-ups would be a kind description. We camped at Valley of the Sun RV Park in a Motorhome.

We registered at Ramada Inn front desk with very friendly staff. After driving back to the site we decided not to stay. The area did not seem safe with only a handful of full-time residents living in propped up camper shells and very old travel trailers. The staff had no problem refunding our money. We camped at Valley of the Sun RV Park in a Motorhome.

Good location on the NW side of town, right off the 101. Pull through sites, no problem pulling my 30' trailer through the facility. The facility itself has seen better days...bathrooms/showers were a bit rough, the pet area is more weeds than grass, and there's not much in the immediate vicinity. It was a convenient place to stay, and I'd stay again, but I didn't want to spend any more time on site than necessary. We camped at Valley of the Sun RV Park in a Motorhome.

Good park for what it is: a place with full hook-ups and good location for visiting the NW side of Phoenix. As others have said, it is located directly behind a Ramada Inn (you check in in the lobby of the hotel). The park itself is in decent enough shape, but it will win no awards for best-manicured RV park. It is surrounded by residential neighborhoods (they looked decent) and you enter the Ramada Inn/RV Park off of Grand Ave. which is a fairly busy road. There are train tracks across the street, but the schedule for the train seems random. We had stayed here a few years ago and heard the train at night. This time, no train was heard. Also, road noise was very minimal. I would not hesitate to stay here again. We camped at Valley of the Sun RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is fairly old but the showers and restrooms are in good shape and well kept. It's all part of the Ramada Inn which is where you check in etc. There is also a nice little sports bar and restaurant with pool tables inside the hotel. The great thing about this place is the location. 5.1 miles from the University of Phoenix Stadium and about 2 miles from Quail Run executive golf course. We camped at Valley of the Sun RV Park in a Motorhome.

Located behind Ramada Inn. Has very nice staff. Clean and level sites. Central location. Definitely would stay here again. We camped at Valley of the Sun RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
