This park is privately owned even though it is near the Yavapai County Fairgrounds race track (which is run down and has been sold). The park is pretty much in between Jerome and Prescott so it makes a good base for exploring the area. The vast majority of the sites are occupied by long term residents but the park is very well kept up. The people that run the park are very nice and are very helpful. The roads are asphalt and very wide. You could easily drive a long tractor trailer through this park. The sites are very wide but they are pretty spartan. The utilities work well but if you are in one of the back-in sites they are all at the back end of the site which makes a long run for the sewer. We camped at Fairgrounds RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Take a drive over Mingus Mtn on 89alt and visit Jerome (old mining town). If you have time and a high clearance vehicle take the drive from Jerome to Williams, Az on Perkinsville Rd. About 2/3rds dirt, 1/3rd paved. Very scenic country but it is about 55 miles one way. The day we drove it in a 4wd Geo Tracker the road was in very good condition and we made the trip in about 1.5 hours and then came back via the highway.

We stayed here for a month. The gravel sites are roomy; the roads are paved. We had no trouble leveling the RV. There's a very nice patio, but no table or fire ring, and no shade. The laundry room and activity room are large and very clean. Washers are $1.75 and dryers are $1.50. There's a book exchange and jigsaw puzzles. The people in the office and throughout the park are very friendly. We would stay here again. We camped at Fairgrounds RV Park in a Motorhome.

Price reflects an monthly rate, we always stay here when in Prescott Valley, the park has no amenities other than a few washers and dryers ( they should have twice that many) however the roads are wide and paved, the lots are wide all gravel. The park is well maintained and the staff are outstanding. We camped at Fairgrounds RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed at the Fairgrounds RV Park last year for 3 weeks. This year we are in the process of moving to the area, so are staying for 6 weeks. The campground is well maintained and the staff are very helpful, professional and great to work with. The sites are full service and large enough to park our 5th wheel and 2 vehicles and still have space. We highly recommend staying at the Fairgrounds RV Park. We camped at Fairgrounds RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The office manager and the park manager were very nice to work with. They accommodated my request to extend my stay, even when it meant shuffling some upcoming reservations. Note the office is only open 9-3 weekdays. We had plenty of space to back in our 36-ft fiver pulled by a Volvo 770 tractor. We were able to park the Volvo in the area against the back fence, which was directly across the lane from our site. We camped at Fairgrounds RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

You can't beat this location for access to Prescott Valley. Even if you are going into Prescott, this is not far, and it's nice and spacious compared to other parks near there.

This park has turned into a long term resident campground. The priority of management is to fill all of the sites with long termer; any sites left are for transient campers. We stayed at this campground for almost 2 weeks and most of those days the campground was filled.

There is a combination of pull-thru and back-in sites. The utilities for the back-in sites were located at the back of the site. The utilities for the pull-thru sites were located at the middle side. All sites are FHU with 15/30/50 amp electrical service. The electrical voltage was good but the water pressure was low. All sites had a small patio and all of the sites were very spacious. There are no fire rings, picnic tables, bathrooms or showers.

The interior roads are asphalt and the sites are on gravel. Most of the sites are fairly level.

There are (4) washers @ $1.75 and (4) dryers @ $1.50 for 40 minutes, a book exchange and WiFi located in the club house. Verizon air card reception was slow but the phone reception was good.

We would definitely call ahead before arriving at this park. We have a 32 foot 5th wheel. We camped at Fairgrounds RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park. Very clean with wide spaces for RV and toad. Plenty of surrounding area to hike or walk the pooch. Close to Walmart, movie theaters and restaurants. Full hook ups 30-50 amps. No pool, restrooms or showers but clean laundry room and library. Sites have individual patios. Need to call ahead for reservations. Good rates. Stayed in a 31' RV for two months. We camped at Fairgrounds RV Park in a Motorhome.

Good park if your thinking of seeing Prescott and surrounding areas. Ashpalt streets, gravel sites that were flat and level. Power at each site is 30 or 50 amp, good drinkable water with great pressure and sewer. Office staff was helpful and made check in a breeze. We camped at Fairgrounds RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a basic park but then again so is the price with the PA discount. The spaces are gravel, it is a gravel lot with the spaces determined by the hook-ups for sewer and electricity. Most of the residents are long-term so they have a lot of junk sitting outside. It is okay for a couple of nights. There was nobody in the office the day we checked. We camped at Fairgrounds RV Park in a Motorhome.

We used Passport America ($15.00 for 3 nights), Good Sam, and weekly rate. Pull thru sites fit 38' RV easily. Outdoor patio with pavers and good fencing. Quiet as it is away from town. Gravel sites with paved roads. Maintained nicely and staff is friendly and helpful. Recommend calling ahead for reservations (office hours restricted) as park was near full with many residents moving here and awaiting their new house. Park is closer to Prescott Valley than Prescott. We camped at Fairgrounds RV Park in a Motorhome.

Our back-in space was large, 50' deep x 45' wide, with full hookups. Park has paved roads with gravel parking spots. Location is midway between Prescott, AZ and Jerome, AZ. 54 cable TV channels are included. We did not try the free WiFi available in the activities center. Our Verizon MiFi work well. Although there are many monthly residents, we found the park and surrounding area to be quiet. Managers and staff are great! Great value for the price. No wifi, even in activity center. Many folks streaming movies. Promised a pull thru, had to take a back in, even when pull thru available. Almost all permanent residents, very few overnighters or even folks staying a week for the closeness to Sedona and Jerome. Fair cable, but no dog park or grass. Would not use this park again. A large park and while we were there they had the No Vacancy sign out. There are both pull thru and back-ins. They are all paved roads and gravel sites with connections at the back so hose lengths can be long and slightly up incline. The back-ins are very large at 45 feet wide and 50 feet deep. As noted there are no restrooms or showers but they have put a couple of washers and dryers in the Rec room. Cell service is good and there is no free WiFi and the mgr advised not to use the pay for WiFi as it is unreliable. The park is not family friendly as no grass or play area. Most residents appear to be extended stay while they relocate to the area, rumor has it they may go all monthly in 2016. Our rate is PA. This is certainly the nicest park for big rigs we could find in the area. We camped at Fairgrounds RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
