4 Parks near Saint Johns, Arizona
Jun 2016 - $25.00
Found this park by accident; fuel pump overheated. Park manager was a delight. Park just reopened. Very clean and very quiet. Little off beaten path, on my way to Silver City, NM via 180. Excellent electric and water pressure. - Ken wittick
Apr 2016 - $20.00
Lyman Lake State Park is in transition with some new amenities. Limited staff. Great petroglyph hiking trail. Quiet in early April, mid week. May have a boating crowd later. $20 basic site no hookups. Cabins available. Construction on going. Windy. Lot spacing is spacious with a sunny/open exposure. Site surface is a concrete pad. - Pepe La Maison
Oct 2015 - $27.00
Nice park and very quiet. Large sites with covered picnic tables and fire rings and grills. The park is a bit aged, but overall pleasant. No cell service (Verizon) and no OTA TV. There are pull-throughs, back-in and tent-only sites. Electric at site. You will probably have to level your RV some as the sites have some dips in there. - chinookgeo
Aug 2012 - $27.00
I really enjoyed my stay at this under used Arizona State Park, partially due to the appearance of the campground and partially due to the lake. There are an assortment of mostly level sites available for an RV. The full hook-up sites are crowded together, the most popular, a lack of privacy, and they do have the most shade. There are a few back-in sites with 50 Amp and they are nearest to the lake, which is well below normal levels. There are three 100 foot long pull-through sites with 30 Amp and they are the most spacious and most quiet of the sites. Each site has a solid large ramada with a concrete patio. Cell phone service can be obtained here with a reliable provider. Signal strength is strongest at the picnic tables near the petroglyph trail head. There is no 3G or better service here. I stayed at Site 13 for four nights and found Site 14 an attraction for the rude style RV people. I moved over to a pull-through site and decided to extend my stay. The lake is suitable for swimming and a host of other water recreational activities. None of the camp sites are near the lake. Each is a good walk from the current shoreline. The rate reflects water and electric site fee. I look forward to returning to this State Park. - James Barr
Jul 2015 - $20.00
We enjoyed our stay at Moon Meadows in St. John's AZ. Now there isnt much in St. John's, but its a good place to stop for the night. It is a very quite location with mature trees and huge sites. Plenty of space. Campsites are nice and level. The camp host was very nice and let us borrow a 30 amp extension cord. We would stay there again. Recommended. - Indiansprings
May 2013 - $20.00
Don't be deterred by the relatively low rating; it is largely because parts of this campground are a work in progress. This is an excellent overnight stop in an area of Arizona that has few options. The sites are large and easy to get in to. The owner, who also operates a 100,000 acre ranch nearby, is very friendly. There are a fair number of long-term residents, but their sites are much more picked-up than typical. According to the owner, the place can really be full of construction workers when there is maintenance in progress at either of the nearby power plants, so check availability before you show up. Also, there are no signs that I saw along the main highway directing you to the park, so map the location out before you arrive. This is a real bargain at $20 for full hookups including 50 amp electric. We would definitely stay here again. - gator44
Nov 2011 - $16.00
Nice older park. Has large sites with plenty of room between sites. Ours was fairly level. The new owners are planning upgrades like restrooms and showers, which the park does not currently offer. Very friendly new owners, and we would stay at Moon Meadows again. - living large
Nov 2015 - $20.00
10 miles north we lost a wheel. Called and was told if we could get there, a spot would be saved for us. Owner got us in touch with mechanics and took me to see them in his car.
Everyone was helpful and friendly. Were invited to the park Halloween party. Owner gave us the month rate although we stayed less. If you have to have troubles, this is the place. - bilmo
Oct 2015 - $28.00
Picked this park as it was the first RV park we saw coming into Springerville from the North. Friendly welcome. Good Sam discount.
Easy pull-up site with full hookups. Trees blocked Direct TV. I hooked up to park cable, but only got snow. Could have been my cable. No big deal. Mostly permanents here. They come from work at dark and leave early. Clean, quiet.
As a stopover it was fine. For more than a night? Probably not unless you plan on living there. - Brujomar
Jun 2014 - $25.00
This price reflects GS discount. We gave this property rating because of the new managers as much as the amenities. Great service, no grass, a few picnic tables, level gravel sites, some weeds, dated fixtures, some shade, good water, tv, and wi-fi. Clean restrooms and showers, clean laundry facilities; not a resort, but a comfortable, safe place to stay. Can't over state the conscientious, friendly, helpful service. - siftndirt
