Do not attempt to stay here if you are longer than 23ft. Narrow roads, sharp turns and small spaces. Once you enter you have to negotiate all this carefully in order to get back out. We camped at Cave Springs (Coconino National Forest) in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

A beautifully located campsite at the side of a creek. Plenty of trees and shade. No hook-ups, only centrally located water taps. Nice and quiet. We reserved a spot by the creek, and it costs 9 USD on top of the 20 USD camping fee. Cold at night in April, and use of generator not allowed after 10pm. We camped at Cave Springs (Coconino National Forest) in a Motorhome.

Sunday, May 19 – Cave Springs Campground, Coconino National Forest, Sedona, AZ This campground is on the west side of scenic 89A heading south to Sedona about ten miles away. Very popular campground especially on weekends. Some sites can be reserved but many first come first serve. Pit toilets and no hookups but water is available throughout the park. The park is nestled with the Red Rock Cliffs on the west and Ponderosa Trees at the base of Oak Creek Canyon. It costs $18 per site but with a pass half that. There are six loops with some sites right on Oak Creek and all of them are in walking distance of the creek and some swimming holes. Pay showers near a meadow and entrance station. The area is known for the rock formations with colors changing from gray to red to black. Very nice place to camp. Pit toilets were very clean. We camped at Cave Springs (Coconino National Forest) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This park is gorgeous. Our stay was in the fall so cool temps and no crowds. The vault toilets were pretty clean, but not in great shape. It was the end of the season and everything had probably been used hard. A beautiful walk along Oak Creek and a good hike directly across the road. We want to go back. We camped at Cave Springs (Coconino National Forest) in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: November, 2010 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We pulled in on Nov 8th 2010 - they were closing the campground the following weekend. It is a very nice place. Tall pine trees on a flat next to the creek. I can see during high season it could be a bit crowded, but when we were there, only a couple of sites in the whole place were taken. We literally had it to ourselves. The days we were there, it was very cold and even snowed one night (no accumulation). We eventually moved down to a trailer park in town as we felt that although the campground was nice, it was a ways too far out of town to visit with our friends on a daily basis (and it was very cold at night- while it was quite comfortable in Sedona during the evenings) I'd stay there again in the fall, if I didn't have to meet with friends in Sedona on a daily basis. I don't remember exactly how much it cost to stay there. I think it was around $20. We camped at Cave Springs (Coconino National Forest) in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is a NFS campground and is hosted by seasonal workers that are very knowledgeable about the area and helpful. We camped here three days while visiting Sedona and Jerome and entered and departed through Flagstaff. This campground is primitive in the sense that you come with empty tanks and filled with water, the only dump that I'm aware of is at the Giant gas station in Flagstaff on the left side facing the station. We camped here out of the summer season but had no problem getting in but the weekends did fell up. We camped at Cave Springs (Coconino National Forest) in a Motorhome.
