This was our first time camping in a motorhome. We rented a motor home and stayed here at Rancho Sedona RV Park. The office staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I wish we could've stayed longer, it was so relaxing and peaceful. It was very quiet and serene. Definitely worth the price and would stay here again. We camped at Rancho Sedona RV Park in a Motorhome.

I highly recommend driving into the town of Jerome. It's an old town with a lot of history and many shops to browse.

Rate includes 10% Good Sam discount. Site was a large, gravel, back-in, FHU with 50 amp electric. The park has lots of trees to provide relief from the Arizona sun. We had good Verizon voice and data reception. We were able to locate 2 of 3 Dish TV satellites. The adjacent site was very close to our driver's side windows. We camped at Rancho Sedona RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We booked last minute and could only get a full sun site that was tricky to back into. But it turned out to be fine - we had morning and afternoon shade. We only needed to put our awning out in the middle of the day. Most of the sites are full shade and the summer temperatures were wonderful in the shade. The Wifi worked great. We had fun playing in the creek at the campground with our dog. Everyone that works at the campground is very nice and they all seemed to know our dog's name and said hi to him which was very sweet. You can walk up to town - it takes about 15 minutes. You can also drive and park for free behind a lot of the shops. One of our only complaints is they could probably use more showers. I did have to wait a few times because there are only two showers and I noticed a lot of other campers like to take showers at the campground instead of in our campers. We were told to go to Slide Rock by some friends but it isn't dog friendly. We ended up going to Crescent Moon instead - it is only $10 per car and you can bring your dog. If you are traveling with a dog be aware that we did see a skunk running through the campground one night. The town has light restrictions which made viewing the Milky Way at night perfect! We were supposed to stay for one week and once we arrived we knew we had to extend our stay to two weeks! If you enjoy healing crystal stones, we highly recommend the Crystal Magic store over on 89A. We went at least 6 times during our 14 day stay. They are so friendly and knowledgeable about stones, books, incense, jewelry and more! They also loved our dog coming in to shop. Then there are two stores called Crystal Vortex in the downtown Sedona shops and they have a great selection of stones with knowledgeable friendly staff, too. We camped at Rancho Sedona RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a Friday morning farmer's market at the Tlaquepaque complex and we really enjoyed it. Creekside has outdoor dining that is dog friendly (and they have a dog menu!) And if you need an oil change the team at Sedona Oil and Lube were all super friendly! Paleo Brio and Tamaliza were yummy, too.

This is simply the best park in the Sedona area. Unfortunately, that means it is hard to get in.....it fills up quickly. Book early! Located within walking distance of downtown Sedona, restaurants, and shops. Local tourist activities like the Pink Jeep Tour will pick you up right at the park. Even though you're close to the center of everything, it is quiet, with quite a few sites backing right up to Oak Creek. Staff in the office is friendly, helpful, and efficient. The staff that takes care of the grounds works hard at keeping things up and it shows. Sites are clean and the utilities are in working order. As in most parks these days, they have wifi that works really well early in the day, but slows down significantly once the data hogs show up and start streaming Netflix......then it slows down so much that we used our own hotspot. Our only suggestion is that the dog run could be larger. All around, a great place and we will definitely be back when we return to the Sedona area. We camped at Rancho Sedona RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

If you want to see Sedona, I don't think you can beat this campground. Clean, spacious enough sites, great internet, and television reception. And, you can walk to the stores in the Tiaquepaque section of town. There is quite a bit of town that is too faraway to walk to, but it was nice to be close to a part of the town. There is also a creek that you can wade/dip in. Pretty neat. We camped at Rancho Sedona RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sedona is an awesome place to visit, especially if you like to hike a lot. We stayed at Rancho Sedona RV park for 4 nights in late April and really liked this park. The grounds were well kept and the bathhouses were spotless, level gravel sites with easy hookups and nice shade. The staff was very friendly and it was easy to navigate around the park, the creek borders the north side of the park and was perfect for wading in after a long day of hiking. The only downside we could think about we the amount of cottonwood pollen snow (?) not sure what to call it, but it was drifting around pretty good. We also had a major wind gust come up suddenly, as fast as I got the awning in it was over. They do have some rules that seemed strange like you have to be in your rig by 10:00 pm, but that was fine by us, who stays up later than that anyway? LOL. We did try and do some star gazing but we had a bright moon, so not that terrific timing for us. We camped at Rancho Sedona RV Park in a Motorhome.

You can walk to everything easily, the Tlaquepaque mall has a couple of nice restaurants and further up the street the Oak Creek Bistro had nice patio dining. Hiking trails are just 3/4 mile walk up Schnebly Hill road, we did Margs Draw and Huckabee trails.

Very upscale place. A little strict about our dogs--we were not allowed to have them sit outside our trailer while we were inside. Very neat grass covered dog park. Nesting great blue herons overhead was a special plus. Some terrific sites next to the creek with lots of grass would cost more, but might be worth it. We'll be back. Terrific rocks; terrific hikes. If you plan to hike or even do a driving geology tour, Buy a Red Rock Pass to trailheads. Also, skip the visitor center in town and use the US Forest Service Visitor Center a few miles south of town. Reserve early--this is a popular place.

Our third year hiking in the Sedona area. Second year at this park. You have to reserve a year in advance for more than a week I think. LOTS of rules but all designed to keep noise down, etc. We are fine with them. Fair number of dogs and children but it's spring break. MTBers can ride from here to some of the most challenging rides in the area so no need to drive. Clean showers and laundry. We're in Sites C. Same as B. Down by the river you have the noise of Oak Creek to lull you to sleep. Easy access from all sites. I can't recommend enough. The nicest place we've stayed in 5 years of trailering. Stop at the Info center (you can walk there in about 10-15 minutes) in the center of town for info on places to eat, galleries, etc. Drive 8 miles S on 179 to the Ranger Station for maps and tips about hiking. Most of the rangers are avid hikers and will give great advice and single sheet trail descriptions.

Have stayed here multiple times. This place is extremely clean. After a site is vacated here comes the cleaning crew. They rack the area, wash down the cement patio if needed and always wipe down the picnic table and chairs. The dog area is very well kept. There is one gentleman that is in charge of keeping all the dog bag dispensers full of bags and the dog trash bins emptied. Always fresh and clean. The park is directly on Oak Creek and within walking distance to uptown. All sites are level with new electrical service. Great water pressure. The only drawback is you need to book this place WAY in advance for any extended length of stay especially for a big rig. There are cancellations so if you haven't planned in advance keep calling. You may luck out. Site 84 is the best followed by Hill Top. Both are private. Site 84 is shaded in the afternoon with a large grassy area on both sides and a large cement patio. This site basically has no neighbors. We camped at Rancho Sedona RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Sedona has great hiking. Take a Jeep tour. Walk to Tlaquepaque (a must), 5 minutes, and enjoy great restaurants, art galleries and shopping. Up Town is another 5-10 minute walk. Take a drive up US 89A towards Flagstaff along Oak Creek one of the first scenic By Ways in the country. A favorite restaurant is the Mariposa on 89A. Beautiful patio with wonderful views of the red rock. The Latin Inspired food is fantastic!!! Views from the patio at sunset should not to be missed. Enjoy!!

Overall Rating:

This was our second stay and we have enjoyed both visits. When approaching the area from Flagstaff DO NOT take 89A which is a scenic road but with lots of steep road with switchbacks and no guard rails. Instead take Interstate 17 south to exit 298 to Highway 179 north through the Village of Oak Creek and on into Sedona and the park. This route is much more RV friendly and is as scenic as 89A. In Sedona you'll turn on Schnebly Hill Road and shortly turn left into the park. This turn is a little difficult to see so move slowly. Once inside the park proceed slowly following the signs for checkin. The park roads are good crushed gravel which are not dusty at the park speed limits. Sites are fairly spaceous, nicely landscaped with a nice concrete patio area with a good picnic table. The park has plenty of mature trees which provide a nice canapy for shade. The FHUs worked well as did the digital cable and WIFI. The campground is quiet and dark at night. Yes there are rules but nothing we found to be onerous and are there to maximize the enjoyment of all guests. The office staff was friendly and efficient and is very knowlegable of the area attractions. Location is a big plus for the campground as it is central to everything and there is much to see and do that is even walkable from the campground. We will camp here again. We camped at Rancho Sedona RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

There are so many wonderful things to see and do in the Sedona area as well as very good restaurants that my tip would be to go first to the Visitors Center located in town about a mile from the campground. They are very helpful in getting you started. Enjoy the beautiful red rock formations!

First the good part: The RV Park was very well kept and clean; nice mature trees with a creek running along the edge of the property. A short walking distance to to nearby tourist shopping. Now the bad: Very overpriced, lots of extra charges; $10 per extra person per night, $2 for each pet per night. These extra charges are unnecessary, there are no amenities that would be used by extra people of the pets to justify the extra costs. The office staff are very stern and not at all friendly, they go over all of the rules with you when you at check in, there are a lot of rules. They even ask you to sign a document stating that you understand the many rules pertaining to your pet. To sum things up, very nice RV Park but not worth the cost. Nice place. Walking distance to uptown area. Good trees but no satellite through them! Internet was very good when it was working - seemed to be set up whereby the office got the bulk of bandwidth, which throttled it for the rest of us (but don't know that this is what was happening). There were times throughout the day where there was NO access and other times when there was 20G. No fitness center. Bathroom seems to be busy all the time. Only two stalls, two showers and two sinks for the entire park (two for women and two for men). Laundry is the most expensive we've seen so far - $2.50 to wash and $2.25 to dry. Slightly cheaper than laundry in town but still too much. Concrete pad for picnic table and gravel rig parking. We travel with two cars and they both fit but apparently that doesn't matter as they had us move one. Very quiet with the exception of the Harley Davidson starting up at 730a every morning. Can't they make those motorcycles less annoying??? We camped at Rancho Sedona RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Sedona is a great town but very tourist-filled. We've been a couple times, different times of the year, and busy. We were in Sedona for two weeks and did a fair amount of hiking. To us, it was mediocre. We are from Colorado so we are spoiled by amazing hiking. Sedona hiking isn't removed from civilization. You can always see buildings and/or hear traffic noise. Very beautiful surroundings, just not our favorite way to hike.

Great location can walk to Sedona. Right on the oak creek with the sound of the water running down the creek which is also connected to the back side of the park. Close to snoopy rock trail head and other hiking nearby. Very clean and well managed. Woodsy with lots of shade. A bit humid in July but still under 90 degrees and low 70's at night.
